### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2025-12-13, version 2.0.6*

At least give 1 make up look before asking for MONEY!

### 1/5 — Free to download, not a free app!

*2025-12-13, version 2.0.6*

‼️paying for ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‼️

Saw this on TikTok and I thought this would be great, I thought it would be a free app since that’s what was stated. I assumed there would be ads to watch to see certain make up looks on myself. It is ‼️$9.99 weekly ‼️ just use filters on instagram, Snapchat, etc. cause it’s just filters over photos. It does say they recommend make up products to use but I’m not willing to pay to know if it will recommend good products.

### 1/5 — 4.5 bc they ask for review before letting you use the app

*2025-12-12, version 2.0.6*

Misleading, saw adds all over cool, let’s try it, immediatly asks for a review… I’ll pass, and thank goodness I did bc I can’t even try this app without agreeing to pay $9.99 a WEEK! For what? Are they doing my makeup in real life will this app make me look diff? Crazy work

### 1/5 — Lie. Can even try once without ridiculous fake buying .

*2025-11-23, version 2.0.6*

A scam

### 1/5 — Do not get this scam

*2025-11-22, version 2.0.6*

I made the mistake of purchasing this horrible app. I canceled within the hour of the purchase because it’s so ridiculous. I’ve emailed them and they are so ridiculously dumb or just playing dumb . They keep saying my account is still active. I attached a picture showing it’s cancelled , and they refuse to acknowledge it.
Disputing with my credit card and reporting to the BBB. Do not buy this!

### 4/5 — Cool

*2025-11-20, version 2.0.6*

Cool

### 1/5 — Another scammy beauty app

*2025-11-09, version 2.0.6*

Just bombards you with questions, then crashes while trying to load as much spam as possible. Awful.

### 1/5 — Scammers!

*2025-11-08, version 2.0.6*

I didn’t agree to anything for this and they still took money from my account!! Don’t download this app!

### 1/5 — Deception

*2025-11-03, version 2.0.6*

You have to pay for the app ! Absolutely ridiculous, no need to do that when there’s other apps that’s are free .

### 1/5 — Expensive

*2025-11-02, version 2.0.6*

10$ a week for any type of makeup is not worth it to me. I thought this was a free app, since I can literally use any AI chatbot for free to do practically the same thing. Definitely a rip off for what little value it provides.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-10-30, version 2.0.6*

App seemed fun! Hit with immediate paywall for 9.99 a week?!? That’s insane. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

### 1/5 — A flawed experience from the start…

*2025-10-25, version 2.0.6*

This ad came up several times on Tiktok making it seem like you’d be able to see quick enhancements of your features with makeup. I was reluctant but downloaded it. Be ready to be met with…

- an immediate quiz asking you your age, skin tone, gender, what your budget is (oooh, this means they want my money, yay!) and other skin-related questions.
- an ask to rate their app without being able to properly try it yet (???)
- asking for a selfie, which makes sense, but I still regret it.

then they will present you with the options to glamorize yourself. but wait! YOU HAVE TO PAY! and there’s no way around this. I feel bad for the girls who went through with it, but I couldn’t be bothered.

It’s not worth the hassle and its a very poor user experience to ask for so much data upfront while also expecting cash right away. ew.

### 1/5 — Es completamente de paga

*2025-10-14, version 2.0.6*

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-09-29, version 2.0.5*

I worked for this company and they didn’t pay me!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t load

*2025-09-29, version 2.0.5*

Doesn’t even load!! What a piss off I was looking forward to use this app

### 1/5 — Waste

*2025-08-21, version 2.0.4*

I’m really disappointed in this app. It takes another girls makeup and literally just places it on your face. AND the result doesn’t even look like yourself anymore. It changed my eye color in one and made my eyebrows thicker in another one. Like what?!! I wanted an app that would scan my face and tell me exactly where to put my bronzer, blush, etc. for my face shape. Not sure how this app even made it…

### 1/5 — scam

*2025-08-17, version 2.0.4*

already cancel subs but it still deduct my money!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Absolute terrible

*2026-05-30, version 2.2.3*

This app is terrible for people with different skin tones, made me look anime which was nothing like the reference. I would never download this app again -♾️/5

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2026-05-22, version 2.2.3*

You have to pay to do a lot and it makes it look so bad on your skin in the pictures. It’s not worth it at all

### 1/5 — Ads Scam & Spam

*2026-05-17, version 2.2.3*

Make it possible to use your app or I will report to Apple, so many bad practices, don’t risk your account

### 1/5 — Termination

*2026-04-23, version 2.2.2*

Canceled my subscription
It never canceled and charged me three times I simply just want my money back

### 1/5 — Total waste of time

*2026-02-25, version 2.2.0*

No free functionality

### 1/5 — Wanted to like it

*2026-02-11, version 2.0.6*

I tried several apps before this one, only to be disappointed with the level of information, guidance, and basic functionality of the tools. GlowUp seemed promising based on the initial UI and advertised features, and I was excited to see a “no makeup” look in the aesthetic options! I’m 48 years old and have never learned how to do/use makeup because I’ve never needed or wanted to. Even those of us with youthful genes and good skin age, though, and I’m increasingly aware of how makeup might help me be more confident. However, I have NO IDEA how to even shop for appropriate makeup, much less apply it in a way that seems true to me.
Apps (any products) that don’t allow users to see what they’re actually purchasing before committing are frustrating and not worth the risk or my investment. Because GlowUp actually asked some important foundational questions that other apps didn’t, I thought I might have found a helpful solution. However, after selecting a preferred “look” and waiting for AI to “customize my routine/products/look,” I was met by the paywall. I have absolutely no objection to paying for an app, but NOT BEFORE I can determine whether it’s useful to me. What kind of instruction does it provide - video? Writing? Explanations about why to do something in a certain way? Tips on HOW to choose colors based on skin tone, seasons, outfits, etc?

Lost a potential customer and rave reviewer because I couldn’t see what you’re actually offering. I think I’ve decided to just go old-school and ask a friend.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-01-06, version 2.0.6*

You can't even see if it works unless you subscribe. Why would I pay for something before I know if it works? These good reviews must be fake.

### 1/5 — Must pay to even use it.

*2025-12-20, version 2.0.6*

Has you do an entire quiz, take a photo, and rate the app before you even realize you can’t use it without paying. Wasteful download.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t even work

*2025-12-19, version 2.0.6*

Not sure if it has a slow start up time but after getting to the 4th screen it just stops working. Terrible app

### 1/5 — Step by step routine

*2025-12-15, version 2.0.6*

Honestly, when it talked about step-by-step routine, I was expecting more. Like diagrams on how to apply the eyeshadow and contouring. All it does is a very bulky write up step-by-step.

### 5/5 — Dishonest App

*2025-05-17*

Don’t waste your time and definitely not your money. They advertised a one week free trial, so I thought I’d try it and see if it was a fit for me or something that might be useful. So I accepted the offer. The app hadn’t even finished downloading and I get a notification of a charge to my account. So I go to my account to see what just charged me and it was them. I received no free trial so I could try it out like that offered. I hadn’t even downloaded the app completely yet or even signed up for the service and here they were charging me. I wrote to them asking for a refund and to this day they still have not responded. I am so tired of putting out money for things I don’t ask for or want. Then not to receive a refund really pusses me off. Why would I pay for something I hadn’t even downloaded or signed into yet. My advice is to stay clear if this one. Dishonest and promotes false advertising. Looks like Apple is siding more and more with the apps that are committing the fraud too. I’d love to know what kind of service Apple Pay’s for that they don’t receive. If the service is not provided , used or wanted they should not be able to charge or keep the money. I don’t pay for services and items I don’t get. How is that the right thing to do to the customer. It’s unfair and fraud.
