It starts and when I try to add a weight entry the app crashes. ### 4/5 — Weight Tracking Log *2025-10-12, version 5.432* Since you updated glucose buddy two days ago, whenever I attempt to add a weight log it won’t allow me to put a different weight in. When I try to do so it cancels the app out and immediately returns to Home Screen as if I was never in the app. ### 2/5 — Most Foods in Database Lack Carb Counts *2022-11-19, version 5.376* I already had this app on my phone when I switched to the Dexcom G6, so I figured I would pay the premium to connect. Well, today I found out Azumio isn’t really serious about maintaining this app. I came to this conclusion after testing a couple other apps that offer the same or better functionality. Also, their online support community is nonexistent, as it has 17 posts, period, over the past 4 years. Doing a search on their support page doesn’t return even one result for “carb.” I have no clue where they are getting all these positive reviews. The Meal IQ functionality is of limited value, but I expected that. That leaves the need for manual entry, but of the foods that can be searched for, most don’t have carbs as part of the nutritional data. Yet, those same foods are marked with a green asterisk, saying “nutrition verified.” What’s up with that? The choices that do have carb information tend to be commercial and restaurant products, so if you cook at home this app is doesn’t cut it. Anyway, after only 2 weeks of using the app I’m giving it up, and I’m sure Azumio has no desire to refund my $29.99. There are a lot of other apps out there that are offering free trials, and what I think will turn out to be superior functionality. ### 3/5 — Good App But…. *2022-05-28, version 5.364* I’ve been using this app for over a decade. My only gripe is they keep removing features or make them available only if you subscribe to their premium version. Previously, it was useful in tracking blood glucose and viewing trends. Now, it appears to have been turned into a sales vehicle for meters, strips, and coaching. Being n medicare, I have my supplies already covered. Why would I want to start paying twice fir them. Having been a user of this app foryears, I am very disappointed!! I will likely need tofi d another app that will allow me to do what this app previously did. What were you thinking?? ### 4/5 — Works Well but needs some added features *2021-07-31* Glucose Buddy works well for tracking T2D but needs to have medication tracking with alarms per medication, refill alarms, and more integrations added to it including integrations with other sites to import data easier. It helps me track everything- blood sugar, carbs, medicines, blood pressure, weight, exercise and ketones. The only thing is, I have to use the Carb Manager app along with this one because neither app has everything I need. I use a dexcom g6 and it sync with the dexcom but it seems to be about 6 hours off from the live input from the dexcom. I set up my user info and etc. The app froze once I tried to link my G6. After that, it only opens to the glucose Buddy app’s opening screen and freezes there. I’ve deleted it and tried to reinstall a few times, but I can’t get passed the initial logo screen. ### 1/5 — don’t update *2021-08-06* I was fine using the app as it was without additional purchases. I have maintained an A1c below 7 most years only exceeding 7 4 times since 2014. However each time I update this app they take away features I have had for free and now want me to pay for them. This was basically a decent app that they want to be a cash cow. Recently I updated because the promo said that there was a improvement in the insights tab. Prior to the update I was tracking my glucose, weight, steps & blood pressure in INSIGHTS over multiple years. What lies. After updating the only thing I can see in INSIGHTS is previous glucose readings. All the other data that was available on my phone is no longer available. Further, the app no longer records my daily steps for me to see. I do not see this as an improvement.
