### 3/5 — Good but unstable app

*2026-07-13, version 2.0.5*

I used to love this app as it changed my life with T1. Have emailed them about bugs but no fixes. This app just switches off now randomly whilst their recent update has included a cartoon image when logging insulin. I might suggest focussing on the basics of app operation rather than gimmicks. And yes, I do have frequent updates/pushes, always on cgm display etc. Just doesn’t work like it used to! And it was an amazing app!

### 2/5 — Good but issues

*2026-07-11, version 2.0.5*

I uploaded it many times because I like it but….. I can’t get rid of live activities in Dynamic Island, toggled off and on all what’s possible, even phones settings, allowed sound only but banners come up. I don’t want extra pressure when I’m at work

### 4/5 — Fantastic

*2026-06-23, version 1.9.185*

Fantastic app but the HUD just need some polishing. Sometimes adding units only works restarting app

### 3/5 — Great, could be better

*2026-06-23, version 1.9.185*

It’s a great app. The AI photo function is absolutely awesome and accurate a lot of the time (not 100% of the time but good enough). However, there’s a lot that could make it even better. Firstly, it would be nice if I only needed to log in one place. So when I log into Gluroo, it should automatically show up in my libre app that I’ve administered insulin/had carbs and vice versa. Another thing is, when I first downloaded the app it was automatically logging when I walked. Now, it’s not accurately getting data from the health app for some reason- it’s accurate for some days, it’s not on others, and it doesn’t appear in the log chat. There is also a lot of general glitches while using the app, like the left menu doesn’t fully open at times.

It’s very exciting that there is an app such as this where lots of health data is in one place. I look forward to the app becoming better and better, where we can do a lot more with the insights. I enjoy the app and look forward to its improvement.

### 5/5 — Love this app for kiddo with T1D

*2026-05-28, version 1.9.185*

This instantly gave our family the ability to communicate total carbs intake on the go and unite as a family to support our kiddos nutrition & insulin intake. LOVE so much about the app from the Status page that shows estimated carbs / insulin on board, even hours after a meal or dose it gives a rough estimate of what has been metabolized and what is left in the system. Weekly email updates shows progress week over week making it fun to share with our kiddo and his progress from all the efforts to stay in range. Works well with Dexcom G7 and have hade more issues with Dexcom than this app. Only suggestion is to make total carb edits more intuitive for manual entry, but that’s just minor learning curve stuff we have got used to. Also would be nice to upload pics without Auto-Carbs if we’re calculating on our own. All in all I highly recommend this app and would gladly pay money for it, although it is free and amazingly full of features to help our kiddo manage T1D. We were 97% in range last week and the week prior we were at 56% in range, this app has made all the difference in knowing how food & insulin impact blood sugar levels & how to maintain them. Love love love! 🙌

### 4/5 — Omnipod integration for iPhone needed

*2026-05-27, version 1.9.185*

I love Gluroo. I just wish it could integrate data from the Omnipod 5 app so that I know how much insulin my kid has on board while at school. It appears that this is already an option if you have an android, but not if you have an iPhone. Will this be coming out for iPhone users soon?

### 5/5 — A great tool - thank you

*2026-05-26, version 1.9.185*

At first the dashboard is overwhelming, but once you get to understand it, it is so very helpful.

### 4/5 — No se guarda

*2026-05-25, version 1.9.185*

Está chévere pero no puedo guardarlo para sólo buscar en lista cuando desayuno lo mismo

### 3/5 — Widget stopped

*2026-05-21, version 1.9.185*

Awesome app in comparison to dexcom. However, widget stopped working

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-05-20, version 1.9.185*

This is a must-have if you’re using the Twiist insulin pump. Users receive reports that give great insight into daily management of glucose, and food intake. The app effectively identifies trends that provide an understanding of your pump settings as well as necessary adjustments to the timing of food intake as well as the timing of insulin delivery. The app also provides alerts to your chosen follower(s) for low or high glucose. I couldn’t be happier with this app!

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2026-05-19, version 1.9.185*

I started using Gluroo only for getting my BG on my lockscreen but it has quickly become one of the most valuable tools in my diabetes arsenal. It is the linchpin to getting my BG in just about any surface I care to glance at and just go about my day with confidence that I’m not too high or too low. I’ve also come to use it for graphing BG alongside CoB and IoB, documenting injection sites for good rotation, and projecting sensor and pen expirations. It has features I didn’t even know I needed until I tried them, and all in one place. Frequent updates, created by a T1D dad so you know they get it. Can’t say enough how much I’ve come to depend on this app.

### 4/5 — Fantastic diabetes companion app

*2026-05-15, version 1.9.116*

Great app for keeping could of carbs eaten, insulin on board and keeping track of the 3 hour rule

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2026-05-13, version 1.9.116*

I love this app, it’s become a core part of my day, as a type 1 diabetic I find this app essential to my everyday life, that’s how good it is at helping me manage my diabetes

### 5/5 — 1 week in to T1D

*2026-05-11, version 1.9.116*

This app is overwhelming, but it has everything. The functionality is mind boggling, even if the UX is clunky. We’ve been building it out with our newly diagnosed 10 year old, and he’s using the platform. He’ll master it before us, I’m sure.
So glad this exists!

### 5/5 — Great app keeps up with everything

*2026-05-10, version 1.9.116*

Just input it keeps

### 3/5 — Potential to be good

*2026-05-08, version 1.9.116*

This app is a great idea, especially for Parents of type one child in school. Children face so many issues at school simply because teachers don’t understand diabetes, and what better way to support them than with this app? Everything can be locked and shared with parents.
❗️One major problem is that there is no sound on alerts. At first, I thought it was my phone (iPhone 17 Pro), but my partner is having the same problem on his iPhone 16.

If this could be rectified, I would recommend this app to my daughter‘s diabetes team and have it put in her care plan

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I love gluroo!

*2026-08-08, version 2.1.27*

I love gluroo, but I NEED them to STOP updating the app. They completely removed insulin & food markers from the charts, which renders that specific part of gluroo completely useless for me when I relied on that to make better medical decisions in the moment and the future. I’m incredibly disappointed. Every app update it’s as if we get farther and farther away from the app actually being useful design & functionality wise. Not to mention, the people I’ve shared my sugar with on here can’t even see it half the time, rendering gluroo’s sharing capabilities also completely useless. What a shame, this app was a lifesaver when I found it and it keeps declining for me every update, especially recently.

### 1/5 — Does not work with Lingo device

*2026-08-02, version 2.1.18*

It’s supposed to work via Apple Health app but does not - don’t bother with this one.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-07-30, version 2.1.18*

Tons of screen freezing issues. Difficult to use. Not intuitive.

### 1/5 — Terrible!

*2026-07-11, version 2.0.5*

I hate it. It is the worst app ever. Didn’t even last 10 days with it.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-04-17, version 1.9.116*

The app stop working is not reading the numbers on the watch need a fix quick

### 1/5 — Love, but have some major issues & suggestions!

*2026-01-10, version 1.5.178*

1/10/25 update: the widget works now, but the alarms are having malfunctions. Sometimes they are audible and sometimes they aren’t, without rhyme or reason to this and of course my settings have been checked several times. The push notifications for alerts every 5 minutes is still very annoying. Just update the blood sugar without pushing a notification every time… there’s already a banner, a lock screen widget, we see the blood sugar 3 different ways without clicking things, a push notification that makes no noise is absolutely pointless. And them making noise unpredictably is super frustrating. The other big problem, the graph within the app doesn’t work anymore- it just shows a blank screen where the graph should be. The more I haw the app, the more frustrating it gets.

12/14/25 Update: the widget no longer works, the upper phone screen banner no longer works, and the front/lock screen banner no longer works. App is going nowhere but downhill it seems.

Previous review: So this app is amazing, we’ve had it for several months but relied on it a lot more lately after Dexcom decided to make their Widget no longer work and alerts no longer reliable.

The main issues I have:
1) settings in the app don’t auto save. I have set our CGM to G7 several times but it goes back to G6 on its own right after I back out and go back in to see if it saved. The same happens when I select insulin pump type, I select tandem, it says “select a pump from drop down menu” but no drop down menu appears, then when I back out and go back in it goes right back to showing MDI selected. It also does the same after I select Humalog, it auto goes back to a different option. This happens on many other sections I have tried to change as well, like the CGM info that can be used to auto fill replacement forms, it doesn’t save any of the information after entering it. But there is no save button either. Very frustrating oversight here.

2) you can’t set any insulin settings or auto input any data that you want it to know. Like insulin duration, carb ratios, basal etc. it says you can, but it doesn’t let you. When you try to do this, it says “enter a prescription” but when you click that, the only option to edit/upload info into is “night” and “split”

3) I REALLY wish there was a question mark button next to certain things so that we can know what the setting means, or we can know what the implications would be if we changed it, etc.

4) this is really HUGE: the alerts need a lot of work. There isn’t a whole lot of customizing you can do here and it’s one of the most necessary spots where you would need to customize to your liking. For example, I don’t want a high notification every 5 minutes. Highs can’t be changed in 5 minutes. I need to be able to acknowledge the high notification and have it set to not notify me again unless above ____ for 1 hr or 2 hrs etc. ALL notifications should have the option to delay first notification for a set amount of time (except a low/urgent low probably) and then not alert again until the time has expired on that notification acknowledgement. Also, the options on alert frequency are “none” “limited” “standard” and “frequent” but there is zero explanation on what those mean or what the change would do to current settings. This needs clarity.

5) the alerts again: there is no reference you can set for what is an extreme high, so it keeps alerting me for extreme highs that are 260, which is high, but we have corrected and we can’t do anything but wait now. I’d like to be able to set my own high ranges. We have our standard range set from 70-180 but that’s the ONLY range you can set. You can’t set your high alerts range, and I think you should be able to.

6) my widget randomly switched from mg/dl to mmol. This is confusing and weird.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2025-11-13, version 1.5.69*

Above on 11/12/25

### 1/5 — I wish it would work

*2025-10-30, version 1.5.69*

I so want todisto be my goto App. However, it is the glitches app I’ve come across in a long time. The graph doesn’t work. The data is not pulled accurately from my device and so triggers load/high alarms when there should be none. It’s a great idea, but I think it’s got a long way to go before it’s anywhere near ready.

### 1/5 — Can’t connect cgm

*2025-10-16, version 1.5.67*

I like this app for tracking glucose, but I can’t connect my Dexcom sensor. I log in and click connect and nothing. My information also won’t save on that page.

### 1/5 — Not good…

*2025-10-16, version 1.5.64*

A waste of your time. Will seem good at first and then you realize how inconsistent and unreliable it is. Updates are sporadic and it has a lot of technical issues. Sad too, because it started out good and recently has just gotten worse. It has the potential to be a great app. In fact, there are things it has that with with some tweaks and a few additions that could make it the best of its kind in the app store. Unfortunately, its UI/UX keeps getting worse with time, as does its compatibility with platform accessibility features.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the widgets

*2026-08-18, version 2.1.27*

I wanted an app that uses widgets and since the Dexcom follow app no longer does that, I had to find something else. This app does that for all the screens. It’s nice to glance at and it makes my life a little easier.

### 5/5 — Customer service👍

*2026-08-06, version 2.1.27*

Great customer service. Had an issue… resolved quickly and with courtesy.

### 5/5 — Love this app!!

*2026-08-04, version 2.1.18*

I am loving the app, the ai meal calculations, the food log, everything! Keep up the awesome work!! 💙

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-07-26, version 2.0.5*

OMG this app is awesome has a bunch of useful data points and information easy to log and is more accurate than some apps about carb counting

### 5/5 — Mini graph on landscape mode

*2026-07-24, version 2.0.5*

The glucose reading does not change or seen while vertical marker slides on the graph.

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-07-11, version 2.0.5*

Lots of good data. Wish there was an app for watch.

### 5/5 — Most Complete App I’ve Found

*2026-07-10, version 2.0.5*

I’ve used almost all of them, and this app really gets it right. I love how I can register my OmniPod 5 and Dexcom G7 in the app so if I have an issue I can easily report it to the vendor and have all the information I never have when I need it.

Well done! And it keeps getting better.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-08, version 2.0.4*

I use gluroo for most everything even dosing (use grok for that detail) but can feel grok with main data so it has context then meals photo ai is grand to be able to know what nutrition is in the meals im eating, one thing make apple health “just work” along with data export better like libreview can do, thank you for all you do!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-07-04, version 2.0.3*

This is the most helpful diabetic app I’ve ever used. I mostly use it just independently as an adult with diabetes but I’ve also added my mum and sister and it helps to know that they can see updates. You can tell a lot of effort has gone in to streamlining the process of logging things. I’m very grateful for it, thank you 🙏

### 5/5 — Love

*2026-06-01, version 1.9.185*

I absolutely love this app. It helps me log what I eat and all insulin I take. Once I figure out how to view reports I know it will be even more useful. I super appreciate that it’s free and it works with my ADHD, stream-of-consciousness way of thinking. Usually that stuff doesn’t go well with T1 diabetes. Thank you!
