This app is really good if you have a child,another person or you cause when you go to the shops just scan different food that your eating that week and use it it will tell you if it’s gluten free

If you are a celiac like me and tired of decoding the small print on the ingredients list then this is a great tool for grocery shopping.  I work on the theory “if in doubt, don’t eat it” and using this app has expanded the list of items I can consume safely.

Flags items as gluten free that in fact contain gluten. Could be very dangerous. Also flags gluten free items as containing gluten if it recognises the product at all. Much safer and often quicker to just read the packaging.

I was just testing it out on food around the house that others in the house eat. The app said that Oreo Thin Mints does not have gluten. I could see how it could miss an obscure product but to get Oreos wrong doesn’t build a lot of confidence.
