First, the embarrassing one. Turns out you can't buy something the app never asks the App Store about. We had a typo in the ID that connects Glyde+ to Apple's payment system. One wrong string, and the purchase screen just... spun. Forever. Very serene. Completely useless. Fixed. Glyde+ is now actually purchasable, as originally intended. We also added proper error handling to that screen, so if anything ever goes sideways again, you'll get a real message and a "Try Again" button instead of an infinite loading spinner and a growing sense of doubt. Sorry to everyone who tried to give us money and couldn't. We appreciate you more than you know. Now the educational one. Apple asked us to show our work. Fair enough. If your app is going to confidently announce someone's BMI, it should probably be willing to explain where that number came from... and not in a "trust me bro" kind of way. So we've added a Medical Sources section in Settings. Every calculation Glyde makes: BMI, your protein target, estimated medication level, exercise calories, even the Bristol Stool Scale; now shows the actual formula, what it can't account for, and a link to the published research behind it. NIH, WHO, FDA prescribing information, peer-reviewed journals. The real stuff. Settings → Medical Sources. Go fact-check us. We'll wait. ### 5.4 — 2026-08-10 Okay so, funny story. We built a nice little "rate us" screen into onboarding. Apple took one look and said "absolutely not," and honestly? They were right. Asking you to rate an app you'd been using for eleven seconds was a bit like proposing on a first date. We've removed it. Instead, Glyde will now ask for a review after you've actually used it... five injections in, tucked quietly at the bottom of your Home screen. Tap it, don't tap it, dismiss it forever. No stars to pre-select, no funneling, no nonsense. Just an honest ask, once, and then it leaves you alone. However you rate us, we'd genuinely love to hear from you! Praise, complaints, feature requests, mild grievances about our color choices. Glyde is now FREE! Yeah, you read that right... the price tag is gone. Every core feature (injections, weight, water tracking) is free, forever, no catch. Want more? Glyde+ unlocks everything else: nutrition, backup, doctor reports, the works and for a single one-time payment! Still no subscription, because we still think those are kind of the worst. Go tell your GLP-1 group chat. ### 4.4 — 2026-04-09 Version 4.3 — The "We Giveth and We Taketh Away" Update Last update we fixed the memory issue. In doing so, we apparently snapped something else clean off — the quick entry menu now opens perfectly, looks gorgeous, and then just... stares at you when you tap it. A completely non-functional menu dressed up like it has somewhere to be. We are very proud of it. We have fixed the menu. It does things again. We are less proud of ourselves as developers but more proud of the app, which is the correct trade-off. Version 4.4 — Okay We Lied, One More We said we were done. We were not done. But in our defense, we couldn't stop staring at those redundant buttons on the home screen — taking up space, contributing nothing, living their best lives at your expense. They're gone. You're welcome. We also tidied up the Log button because if we're already in here we might as well make it pretty, fixed an Apple Health sync that was occasionally hanging like it had somewhere to be but couldn't quite commit, and swept up a few other things while we had the broom out. Is this the last update today? Yes. Absolutely. We're done. The app is perfect and we are going to leave it alone now. Please stop reading these notes and go take your shot. ### 4.2 — 2026-04-08 Version 4.2 — The "Yes, I Still Take Zepbound" Update We owe you an apology. Glyde was apparently suffering from the same short-term memory issues that GLP-1s are not supposed to cause — every time you went to log a new injection, the app had completely forgotten your medication and dosage. Like, completely. Blank slate. Who are you? What drug? What dose? We fixed it.
