### 1/5 — Would love to give 0 stars

*2021-07-23, version 1.2.0*

This app does not work at all. Really annoyed that my $80,000 car won't play movies for my Kids. Why did they include Apple car play but no way to steam movies other than with an android. Ridiculous!

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2021-07-17, version 1.2.0*

Like everyone else on here app doesn’t work, googled and you tubed for hours and still nothing, GM should have made the media available and easily accessible to Apple users and not just android .... so disappointed. Just going to get the cords and adapters.

### 1/5 — Absolute donkey $41t

*2021-07-15, version 1.2.0*

I don’t normally write reviews but I wish I had read a few before I got this system. It’s shockingly bad
- doesn’t matter if your connectioned to WiFi in 80k car you just it still can’t see it
- makes no sense to not be controlled from front more easily
- mostly let’s you watch mp4s (who even has those on their iPhone? )

May god have mercy on these developers souls

### 1/5 — Junk/Trash

*2021-06-17, version 1.2.0*

Don’t waist your time with this App it doesn’t work. Just buy the HDMI cord and adapter for your iPhone. After two hours of watching YouTube videos and reading instructions I give up. Really disappointing

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2021-05-31, version 1.2.0*

Like so many reviews, I wasted 30 minutes trying to get this to connect. You would think some “testing” would have been done first before rolling this out. Dev team should be very embarrassed.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-04-30, version 1.2.0*

I am echoing many of the reviews on here. $88,000 for aesthetically beautiful screens that functionally do not work. 2021 yukon, iphone 12 pro, no dice. How can this be? No DVD either because “that's outdated technology”. I’m not sure what year this tech is dated for, but it’s not 2021. Rear media is still useless 3 mos after delivery... this app is currently a waste of space.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-03-21, version 1.2.0*

I can’t tell who’s dumber: me for buying an $86,000 car that uses a broken app in order to utilize its entertainment system, the developers of this app OR GMC for not allowing mirroring from an Apple device.

### 1/5 — Trash!

*2021-02-28, version 1.2.0*

I would give it 0 stars if I could. After 30 minutes of trying, I just gave up. Clearly don’t work on my 2021 TAHOE. very disappointing. They say if you have an android phone you can bypass needing this app at all and use miracast on your device to stream on the monitors. Oh well.

### 1/5 — I doesn’t work

*2021-02-09, version 1.2.0*

disappointed

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2021-02-04, version 1.2.0*

2021 Yukon / iPhone 12 Pro. Even when connected to Yukon’s wifi it doesn’t recognize the rear screens. I’ve tried it on an iPhone and an iPad same results doesn’t connect. Super disappointing that GM would even print this app as a solution. I would be interested in seeing how anyone could get this app to work and how they did it.

### 1/5 — Almost as worthless as the $2k system

*2021-01-15, version 1.2.0*

Doesn’t work at all and if you can get it to work you can’t play anything. Skip the RSE system buy your kid an iPad

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2021-01-12, version 1.2.0*

It clearly doesn’t work on the 2021 Tahoe. I’ve even had the dealership look and they said remove the app.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2020-12-06, version 1.2.0*

This has no functions that appears to work.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2019-08-03, version 1.2.0*

This app does not work on a 2017 Yukon XL. Same comments as other reviewer.

### 1/5 — Just doesn’t work...

*2018-08-21, version 1.2.0*

This has yet to work for me. If, by chance, the app recognizes that I am connected to the rear seat network, it will let me select rear seat screen 1. The only items on the device available to stream are camera roll videos (no downloaded and paid for movies btw) When I attempt to load them, the app immediately crashes. Either that or the rear seat system continually reboots. I have tried to utilize other non GM sponsored DLNA apps with the same results. I have a rear seat system and kids with iPads who want to stream content. So far the only way to make it work is to pay for Wi-Fi hotspot and plug in my Apple TV via HDMI cable and power cord. It works perfectly. Apple products always just work. My goal is to stream with no cables or cords -wireless - like the age of technology we live in is meant to work. GM website states this app is the solution utilizing “smartstream” technology . GM infotainment support is attempting to help, but ultimately sounds like they are going refer me to the dealership. I will update if that proves to be helpful, but I am not hopeful. A response from the developer would be great. Their support is closed as I write this.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect to WiFi

*2026-04-27, version 1.2.4*

I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps on two different phones and this app will not work with my new 2026 Cadillac Escalade. It’s really frustrating for GM to offer this app when it’s completely worthless.

### 1/5 — Still doesn’t work

*2025-04-17, version 1.2.4*

It seems this app has t worked in several years and still doesn’t. Apple should just delete it from the App Store at this point

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-01-07, version 1.2.4*

Does not work on a 2023 Escalade. Straight up embarrassing that Cadillac would use this app.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-02-23, version 1.2.4*

Don’t waste your time. It does not work at all for me and most likely won’t work for you.

### 1/5 — DOES NOT WORK WITH 2021 Infotainment screens

*2022-03-04, version 1.2.0*

This does not work with a 2021 Tahoe, use the HDMI cable adapters to show videos and use the front or back monitors themselves to control the screens. The app is outdated and should only be used for older model vehicles/infotainment systems.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money!!

*2022-03-03, version 1.2.0*

Buyers beware!! This app is not compatible with Apple products, so don’t waste your money purchasing the rear-entertainment system as an option on your GM vehicle. Why would a company develop a product that is only compatible with an Android device?!?! Why is this app even available on the App Store.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2022-01-31, version 1.2.0*

Can’t believe this app is 4 years old and it just doesn’t work. And the bugs haven’t been worked out. For a luxury family car in this age to have such a complicated glitchy application is baffling. Wireless streaming is impossible. Doesn’t latch to any WiFi network. The user manual seems it’s for a different unit altogether and the dealership has sheepishly given up. Chinese cars have better rear entertainment systems.

### 1/5 — Absolutely worthless

*2021-10-26, version 1.2.0*

Should have read reviews before wasting my time. $90K car and a 1 peso app to try to figure out your systems. And it is useless.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2021-08-21, version 1.2.0*

Doesn’t work at all, not even by chance. Sad.

### 1/5 — Absolute garbage

*2021-08-20, version 1.2.0*

It’s not worth trying to play videos on screens that require this app. Atrocious and doesn’t work. Developers should be ashamed

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very good

*2023-06-16, version 1.2.4*

This app is very good

### 2/5 — Let me know how this actually strand please!!

*2019-06-02, version 1.2.0*

Trying to see what this streams exactly.. no luck yet, reading the manual.
