I mean seriously, how can you not properly support a device that most serious photogs would be using for editing. And the whole structure of the app is like some cheap Chinese knock about. This device and app have serious potential but implementation is lacking ### 1/5 — Honestly could be the worst product I’ve ever purchased *2018-08-20, version 1.8.0* Honestly could be the worst product I’ve ever purchased! Won’t load files! False advertising at it’s finest! No support from company besides generic responses STAY CLEAR OF THIS TERRIBLE PRODUCT! ### 3/5 — Third hour waiting for transfer *2018-07-05, version 1.8.0* ...of EIGHT images. This hunkof can’t complete a task. Can’t transfer files can’t eject the card can’t stay cool enough put in my pocket. It basically connects with the app, then sits there overheating. Best use: take into the field, set it on a log, then take a sharp hatchet to it! You’ll get the same functionality, with the added bonus of having a way of resolving all the frustration it causes! The three stars are for Logo design. That’s all. ### 1/5 — Continually Disconnects *2018-07-01, version 1.8.0* When I first bought the box, it worked fine for about a week, then the WiFi began disconnecting every time I try to communicate with my phone. I have over 2000 photos on it and I cannot get to any of them. The box even shuts down while downloading to my computer hard drive. Never stays on for more then 10 minutes even with a full charge. Very disappointed. Doesn’t even want to download the firmware update. Just a paperweight at the point ### 3/5 — Good, not great - Needs better iPad support *2018-02-11, version 1.6.4* I am using this app on both iPhone and iPad. On the iPhone it works great and I’m happy with the functionality. On my iPad I’m a bit disappointed. Right off the bat, the app doesn’t support landscape screen orientation and this is a huge drawback if you want to use the app on an iPad Pro with a keyboard. It really seems like the developers just “phoned in” the iPad implementation. If it were more usable on the iPad I would give it 5 stars. Only 3 for now though. :-( ### 1/5 — Depends on camera and what you need *2017-12-01, version 1.6.4* If you use a normal grade camera and or a drone, this might be a good option for you. Although a slow one. If you are like me and have a Canon 1DXmkii then be warned that your camera will not be recognized by the app. So useless. For my drone and Sony Camera this thing works adequately, I guess very slow. Very limited editing. I am used to using a computer and Lightroom, so I may be spoiled. For a hobbyist with no real editinf experience on better products, this my be a five star product. For me it was a waste of time and money. ### 1/5 — Won’t connect. What impresses me more is the willingness of the company to constantly update the app, fix bugs, and take users feedback to improve the product. I am not a professional photographer/ videographer, but this little device and the app have allowed me to create great videos and pictures to share. The last two days of the update being out has been hell. I can't go through more than two to three photos before the app crashes. Exporting one photo crashes the app. Trying to play a video crashes the app. What happened to the version we just had? Can you please update to make top menu part functional? I can’t exit once I enter tutorial menu. No way to exit. All top menu buttons are overlapping with iOS clock and internet connection bar. Closing app doesn’t work. I’m stuck there. Using iOS 16.2, iPhone 11 Pro. ### 1/5 — No longer works with IOS *2022-02-24, version 1.8.9* This was a great little tool and app for those of us on the go. Could add memory cards, thumb drives, USB hard drives and access them via Windows, MAC or IOS device. No longer is the case with IOS device. When later revisions of IOS, you can still access the device via WIFI and software seems to work. That is until you try to see old folders, files or create new files for pictures or doc. This capability was lost with some of the more recent IOS updates rendering the Gnarbox 1.0 hardware and application useless. ### 1/5 — Worst product I ever owned management never ever cared (they just continued with 2.0 *2021-11-23, version 1.8.9* I owned gnarbox from the point it was suppose to interface with luma fusion . I was so excited and hopeful at the time , but this turned out to be completely dis functional product . I later started calling the company , emailing tech support , in the hopes that they would resolve everything (anything) they had promised , but no !! I even spoke to the owner , who would have been much happier if I wouldn’t have been bothering them and their tech support crew ,, truly sad company gnarbox , I told you then , this would be the outcome , other people would snap to your dishonesty with this product …here we are , now and look ,and it’s not over ! ### 1/5 — Wasted my money with this piece of junk! *2021-02-13, version 1.8.9* Piece of junk!!! ### 1/5 — Company doesn’t keep its word *2020-05-28, version 1.8.9* I bought the a few years ago on their website it said camera was supported! Oh wait it cuts off on mobile version sorry we will fix that! We are coming with a new update to support your camera but we are busy working on ver 2.0! 6 months later we are still working on it but if you want to trade in your old one we will give you a small discount so you can pay for our over priced new one, but the update is coming! 2 years later not one update nothing! To make way for there 2.0 box. What ever happens to keep omg the old one alive? This was not a cheap product, and to only have active support for a year... it’s sad to see people be ripped off like this. I have had no issues, it updates pretty much by itself and everything runs smooth. I've not had any issues with Videos or Photos or any type of things to do with multiple pictures at once. It's fast and get no I don't get a commission for saying this. The Gnarbox has been a godsend as a work around for the file system limitations on IOS, the only thing that bugs me about the app is there is no Landscape support.
