## What is Gnosis?

Nearly all of the world's spiritual knowledge, in one library.

Over 400 complete spiritual, philosophical, and mystical texts from 38 traditions, with an AI companion who has read every page. Built for serious seekers.

THE LIBRARY

The Bible — and the books that didn't make it in. The Apocrypha (Deuterocanonical Books). The Septuagint. The Book of Enoch. The Book of Jubilees. The Lost Books of the Bible. The Forgotten Books of Eden. The Shepherd of Hermas. The Didache. The full Gnostic gospels — Thomas, Mary, Philip, Judas, Truth, the Pistis Sophia, the Secret Book of John. The Sayings of the Desert Fathers. The great Christian mystics: Meister Eckhart, Hildegard of Bingen, Jacob Boehme.

Vedic and Eastern traditions — The Bhagavad Gita. The Upanishads. Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Pali Canon and the Dhammapada. The Heart Sutra and the Mahayana sutras. The Tao Te Ching, the I Ching, and Chuang Tzu. Confucius and Mencius. The Guru Granth Sahib. Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi.

Islam and the Sufi masters — The Quran. Rumi. Attar. al-Ghazzali. Hafiz. Sa'di. Omar Khayyam.

Greek philosophy and the Stoic canon — Plato's dialogues. Plotinus's Enneads. Aristotle's Ethics. The complete Stoics: Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Seneca, Cicero.

The Hermetic, esoteric, and mystery traditions — The Corpus Hermeticum, the Emerald Tablet, The Kybalion. The Egyptian Book of the Dead and the Pyramid Texts. The Epic of Gilgamesh. The Zohar. Blavatsky, Steiner, Manly P. Hall's Secret Teachings of All Ages.

The complete New Thought movement, in depth — Neville Goddard, Wallace Wattles, James Allen, Thomas Troward, Ralph Waldo Trine, Florence Scovel Shinn, Charles Fillmore, William Walker Atkinson, Prentice Mulford. Every major work on manifestation, the law of attraction, and the creative power of thought.

Modern mystics and classics — William James's Varieties of Religious Experience. Evelyn Underhill's Practical Mysticism. Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass. Thoreau's Walden. Emerson's Essays. Foundational astrology by Alan Leo.

Beautiful typography. Complete texts, in full, without abridgment. No ads. No clutter.

SOPHIA

Tap any passage and ask what it means. Sophia has read every book in the library. She can give you the original context, show where the same teaching surfaces in another tradition, or just talk through what you're working with.

Or say it out loud — start a live voice conversation and talk with Sophia the way you'd talk with a teacher. She knows where you are in every book.

NARRATED AUDIO

Many of the texts include high-quality narration. Tap any paragraph to start audio from that exact place — on a walk, on a drive, before sleep.

DISTILLED

262 of the books are also distilled into card stacks — the core of a work in about seven minutes.

LESSONS

More than 65 in-depth lessons each follow a single thread — meditation, manifestation, prayer, surrender, the soul, contemplation — across dozens of books at once.

COMMENTARY

57,000+ editorial notes give you origin context, parallels to other traditions, and quiet companions to the harder passages.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account required. No ads. No feed. Your bookmarks, reading progress, and saved passages stay on your device and work offline.

### 5/5 — One of the Most Impressive Apps I’ve Used

*2026-08-21*

I genuinely cannot believe this application was created by one person. Gnosis is remarkably ambitious, beautifully designed, and filled with an incredible depth of spiritual, philosophical, and historical material. It makes exploring different traditions engaging and accessible without making the experience feel shallow.

The organization, presentation, and thoughtful use of AI are especially impressive. This is honestly one of the best applications I’ve used—even compared with products created by entire teams and some of the biggest names in AI.

You can feel the extraordinary amount of care, knowledge, and work that went into building it. Gnosis is a truly exceptional accomplishment, and its developer deserves tremendous recognition. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Not free.

*2026-07-16*

If you truly cared about teaching others the Truth, you would teach them for free;-- Nature teaches us for free, as all Her motions demonstrate the laws of action and consequence without word. By doing nothing and going outside, I can learn more for free than with this app; I recommend the same to all those who cannot pay. Shameful wolf in sheep's clothing: You are petty and superficial, and you only want money. I've made this review five stars so that others can see it.

Update:

I should apologise for my initially harsh words. There are quite a lot of apps which serve nowadays only to take money and feed off of people discovering spirituality, or to misguide them, but I see the intent in making this one is more honest. Still, I think that, in accord with Nature, at least the bare text of each work in the app should be provided for free.

**Developer response:** Hey there, this is actually something that I've struggled with as the developer of this app. This app is made by one person - and it's my first app. I created the tool that I wish I had when I first was coming awake, and priced it at a place where I could recoup development costs and hopefully be rewarded a bit for my ongoing efforts. I know you don't know me but I've tried to have my heart in the right place here, and am still figuring things out.

This app costs money to run. I have to bring in some money, or I'll literally go bankrupt. The AI integration, if the app were to be successful, would literally ruin me if I didn't charge something. Then there's database costs, storage costs, asset pricing, etc etc etc. The app is priced at less than $1/week and includes everything.

I understand where you're coming from. I'm exploring the idea of a free version that doesn't include the tools that will break the bank. I appreciate your feedback and thank you for your review.

### 4/5 — Intrigued and grateful

*2026-06-27*

Definitely impressed so far. Don’t know if there are any paywalls, which will absolutely be a deciding factor in whether or not I continue to use this tool. But if there exist and are reasonable (I don’t want to be paying multiple dollars for every individual course, book, etc, if there are as many as advertised), this may well be the best reference tool I’ve found application-wise for this particular path of personal development.

### 5/5 — My Favorite App!!

*2026-06-08*

This App is AMAZING! It’s beautiful, intelligent and something the world has needed desperately for eons.

All the world’s most powerful and important spiritual texts in ONE place?!

I’m hooked!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-06-08*

I really love how approachable it makes texts that would be otherwise so dense and hard to understand!

### 5/5 — Everyone needs this app

*2026-06-07*

Great design, easy to use, and a library so big you will never run out of things to read. Even if you’re always busy and have trouble carving out time to study the ancient mysteries of life, this app has a professional narrator that will read to you while you handle business.

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2026-06-07*

This is perfect for people wanting to research more than just traditional teachings. Easy to use, practical, all the books I’ve been looking for in one place. Def recommend

### 5/5 — Really impressive

*2026-06-04*

Every barrier to understanding spiritual and religious texts has been lifted effortlessly and instantly. What used to be the rarified territory of graduate students is now a pleasurable walk in the park with no background prep needed. Could not recommend enough!

### 5/5 — Best App in over a decade

*2026-06-04*

Truly a work of art. Amazing amazing amazing. Just get it you won’t be disappointed

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-04

Audio, Distilled, and the threads between the books.

NARRATION — A new reading voice across the library, and hundreds of hours of newly narrated books. Many titles that had no audio now have it.

DISTILLED — 262 books distilled into short card stacks, about seven minutes each. The player now swipes up, and Distilled has a place on Home.

ECHOES — Passages that answer each other across traditions are marked in the margin. Tap one to read the parallel in its own book.

CONCEPTS — The concept index is now a proper glossary: one continuous column, grouped by theme, naming the books each idea converges on.

SOPHIA — Voice conversations are no longer limited by weekly minutes.

ALSO — "Catch me up" recaps when you return to a book, journal recaps, and haptics settings. A failed payment no longer closes the library while it is being sorted out.

LARGE TEXT — If you read at a large system text size, the app now holds its shape: buttons stay tappable, titles and prices are no longer cut off, and long screens scroll instead of running off the edge.

FIXES — "Read it in context" from an Echo now works, the "Previously in…" card keeps its button on screen, and rotating your phone no longer breaks a deck.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-21

• A clearer free trial — new welcome screens explain exactly how your free week works, and we can remind you before your trial ends
• Smoother onboarding from start to finish
• A simpler, cleaner subscription screen
• Bug fixes and performance improvements

### 1.0.3 — 2026-07-16

Your conversations with Sophia now stay with you. Recent voice calls and chats live right on her guide page — pick any thread back up whenever you like.

Buying extra voice time is easier too: the Add an Hour option now sits beside your minutes meter on every call, not just when you're about to run out.

Also in this update:
• Hear Sophia's voice options before you choose — tap any voice to preview it
• Bug fixes and performance improvements

### 1.0.2 — 2026-07-14

Talk with Sophia — now with voice. Start a live conversation with your AI guide: ask about a passage, a teaching, or whatever you're working through, and she answers out loud, in real time.

A redesigned home. Your library, lessons, and discovery now live together — personalized shelves curated to your traditions and interests, a front-page hero that picks up where you left off, and a row Sophia curates just for you from your conversations.

Also in this update:
• 80+ new texts — over 400 complete works, and the library keeps growing
• Your Journal — reflections, saved passages, and conversations, kept by Sophia
• Distilled — the essence of a classic in minutes, then read the whole thing
• Search everything — books, lessons, decks, and concepts from one place
• A reimagined welcome journey for new seekers
• Bug fixes and performance improvements
