I’m forced to delete the app then redownload EVERY time I want to check my bus time. Also busses just don’t appear on the app. ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2024-09-25, version iOS App 1.0.5* Frequently crashes or says I have a slow server, then refuses to load the live tracker. For me, it loads less than half the time. However, I need to point out how these problems have been stated YEARS ago, and the last time this app got a patch was 2 years ago. That is insane. UF, what are you doing??? Get it together and update this glitchy nightmare that so many people rely on! Edit: I just found out about NaviGator, and I can’t believe anybody still uses this app when there is a perfectly functional version of it. If you hate this app, get NaviGator. It does the same things except it actually works. It has 5 stars vs this one’s 1 star, and it shows. Get NaviGator. ### 1/5 — Your in luck if it actually works *2024-08-30, version iOS App 1.0.5* Great concept if it actually worked. I think it currently has a 95% non-usage for me. As in, 95% of the times I have tried using it (everyday) it doesn’t actually load and I need to keep clicking refresh (which does nothing asides from just popping the message back again). TransLoc wasn’t as detailed, but it ALWAYS worked. I’ll take a working app over this mess any day. Please just give us a working app. Doesn’t need to be fancy, doesn’t need to have 5 different map options. I mean the app won’t load unless I tilt my phone sideways, a tutorial pops up every time you open the app, and you can’t even see the map while you are looking up routes. Just like most of the other people who have reviewed this, the app has given me arrival times for buses that never come, and it crashes frequently. And no, the browser version is not more reliable. This service is a complete joke. It’s super non user friendly. It’s easier to just check the pdf on RTS site (which is just the opposite of why this app was even created). Whoever pitched this app to RTS duped RTS GNV showing how good it is, but it’s super non usable app. In best words, I would call it something taken out of trash and repurposed to annoy people of Gainesville. ### 1/5 — Good luck *2023-12-04, version iOS App 1.0.5* When ur app is down and you don’t know where to go ### 1/5 — Easily the worst app of all time *2023-10-06, version iOS App 1.0.5* Out of any app that i’ve ever used, this is by far the worst one and it’s not even close. There are more bugs and glitches than actual features on this app, and they made it the least user friendly possible. The app almost never works as intended and has caused me to be late multiple times due to its unreliability. The bus times are only sometimes accurate if you’re lucky enough to even get the app to load. Unfortunately there isn’t a better alternative and we are stuck with this. ### 1/5 — Will Not Open *2023-09-25, version iOS App 1.0.5* The app will only work once or twice after I download it. The only way I can keep using it is to delete it and redownload it every day. The previous app I used back in 2018-2019 was literally perfectly fine and I don’t understand the MASSIVE downgrade that is this one. It main menu looks like an old web site from 2000s. Its system is horrifically slow and resets constantly. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all and there’s no consistency as to why. It’s completely counterintuitive to the point that it feels intentional. Why when I click on a bus does it not show me all the possible stops/isolate the pathing?? When I click on a stop why can’t I click on the bus numbers which isolates those routes and buses? This has to be intentionally bad I have no other reasonable explanation in my head ### 1/5 — Slowed down after the 2025 changes *2025-09-30, version iOS App 1.0.5* What’s a wrong with this app??? It’s slowed down much worse and it never used to be painfully slow like this. I’m literally at the same bus stop I go to every time and it used to work on the same data connectivity. I usually have to reinstall it every couple of days. I believe that the app most likely tries to persist data and fails which causes an error state. So reinstalling it removes the database and you get a new one upon the new installation which fixes it. The drivers always blame the traffic when there are barely any cars on the road. I walk home faster than the bus and I live 1.7 miles away. This app has a 1.1 star rating, lower than superior towing’s google rating and that boggles my mind, as this app tells you exactly where the busses are with only minor inconvenience. One of the most glaring issues with this app is how on occasion is completely breaks and is unusable, making you go off of stop times which are totally unreliable. This app allows you to see when your bus is arriving and uses low data allowing me to use it even when on reduced speed data. Way better than Transbroke app lol ### 3/5 — Broken and takes the whole bus system down with (SEE EDIT) *2023-10-31, version iOS App 1.0.5* This app has been saying that the “server had a weak connection” since about September. I’ve been on data plans, several different people’s WiFi, even the WiFi at the actual bus depot… nothing. The app is broken. Additionally, it’s the only reliable way to know if a bus is coming to a stop any time soon. The official schedule online is often wrong, and Google maps goes off of the official schedule online. PLEASE FIX THE APP. Edit: I deleted it and reinstalled it, and that fixed it. Only bumped to 3 stars since that shouldn’t be necessary and I know several other people have had this same issue, but 1 star isn’t fair. ### 2/5 — It works— until it doesn’t. *2023-05-04, version iOS App 1.0.5* This app has helped me navigate on campus as there isn’t a central list of what buses run what routes (and where those routes go) that’s available. Honestly though, I’d rather have a paper map with me in some cases. This app is convenient when it works, but I’ve had so many instances where it’ll tell me that a bus is coming when that bus never shows, because the route planner seems to work based off of a fixed schedule and not real-time conditions (construction, delays, etc.) Similarly, I’ve been stranded when I’ve tried to use the app and the app crashes completely, forcing me to delete and reinstall. More often than not, it’s more convenient to WALK back to campus after sorting through the mess of getting to your destination because I already know the route back. ### 2/5 — Quite horrid at times *2023-01-21, version iOS App 1.0.5* Many people rely on the bus system to get around, myself included. It is extremely frustrating and upsetting that the app frequently crashes and is plagued with loading errors. The loading errors can last several hours, and it can be very confusing to get to places, especially if you never been there before and you need to take a new route. ### 2/5 — Not good. *2022-09-06, version iOS App 1.0.5* At first, I thought all of these reviews were being too harsh. The app worked decently well for me the first two weeks of school, and though it wasn’t perfect, it was definitely useful and easy to use. Nothing that could have warranted a 1-2 star review. However, just recently, I realized what all of these 1-2 star reviews were talking about. For the past four days, I’ve opened the app, a prompt has appeared saying “cannot connect to server”, and then… nothing. The app doesn’t reboot, it doesn’t try again, nothing. A lot of people rely on this app as their only way to get to school, it should 100% be maintained better. Giving two stars because when it actually works, it’s not that terrible. ### 2/5 — It just stopped working *2022-09-06, version iOS App 1.0.5* The app worked fine for a while. But now it’s telling me that I don’t have an internet connection to it. My other apps work fine. I even uninstalled and reinstalled but still got nothing. ### 2/5 — Inaccurate, Slow, Laggy: And Google Works Better *2022-03-19, version iOS App 1.0.5* For as much as I depend on the bus to get around, the app is bad at showing up to date information, such as modified bus routes due to construction, and at estimating the time that busses can be expected to arrive.
