## What is Go 1988?

Go 1988 is a minimalist take on the ancient game of Go (Baduk, Weiqi), styled after late-80s personal computer games. Play against a strong AI powered by KataGo, the open-source neural network engine, or pass the device for a friend match.

FEATURES
- Three board sizes: 5×5, 7×7, 9×9
- Play as Black or White against the AI
- Two-player mode for local matches
- Pass, Resign, Reset, Rematch
- Capture counts and final scoring
- Retro dark UI with monospaced typography
- 100% on-device — no network, no accounts, no tracking

CREDITS
Powered by KataGo (MIT License). Neural network: b10c128 from the g170 training run.
Made for players who want a quiet, focused game of Go.
