## What is GO?

GO-29 SciRPN closely simulates the venerable HP-29C Programmable Pocket Scientific Calculator from 1977. Virtually indistinguishable from the real item in operation, GO-29 is a powerful yet simple retro calculator.

• RPN (Reverse Polish Notation)
• 10-digit LED calculator display, 10-99 to 10+99
• Four stack registers with roll down
• Thirty storage registers with arithmetic memory operators:
	◦ 10 primary registers
	◦ 6 statistical registers
	◦ 14 indirect registers
• Math, trigonometric, polar/rectangular, sexagesimal/decimal, logarithmic, statistical, power and other miscellaneous functions
• Programmable, with labels, subroutines, branching, conditionals, indirect addressing, annotated program listing, and memory for 198 program steps
• Library of Sample Programs
• Fast, slow or single step program execution
• Program import via pasteboard or from other Apps
• Program export via printer, email, pasteboard or to others Apps
• iTunes program File Sharing
• Two additional windows with views of:
	◦ stack/storage registers
	◦ keystroke log
	◦ program source code
	◦ program documentation
• Copy-from and Paste-to the calculator display
• Simple Paper Tape annotations

### 5/5 — Excellent, with or without the nostalgia factor.

*2022-10-07*

The HP-29C was my go-to calculator at my first job after college, and I loved it for its power, ease of use, and flexibility. This is an outstanding and faithful simulation of that calculator.

But even taken on its own merits, this is a solid scientific RPN calculator. Excellent functionality, solid programmability, and fast performance.

### 5/5 — Very nice calculator

*2019-12-22*

Very good job!! Only two little bugs I’ve noticed:
The description of the program appears too fast when importing, it’s also not possible to read it nor stop it.
When computing on large numbers in FIX 9 mode (with factorial program for value 69, for example) the result doesn’t show the exponential part.
Congratulations again, I was waiting for this simulation for a long time!

### 5/5 — Best in Class

*2019-08-08*

Imagine my surprise when I found the 29C in the AppStore.
I’ve been looking for this exact model for the last 10 years.
Of course, I bought it straightaway.
I’d like to think I’m the first to purchase, but I doubt it - one of the first’ll do.

Thanks so much for building this. Never saw myself as ocd. Guess I must be - bought my HP29C back in ‘75 - still working fine.
One thing I’ll say now about the HP29C over the HP25, the ‘29 fills in all the blanks on the ‘25 keyboard.
and, for programmers, the DEL Key is so much more practical than NOP.
In my opinion, the HP29C was by far the best in class of its time. 20 addressable registers, Continuous memory and Subroutines put it in a different dimension from others. It’s amazing what you can do with just 98 program steps with that little lot.
I hope you’re all going to enjoy this as much as I know I’m going to.
