As the downtown area is trying to become more of a destination, this tour can help bring people to the area to walk around and see the sites. Michelle Valles does a great job as the host. It has a few places but on several icons there is nothing there. Frustrating! ### 1/5 — Can't even start it. You click on a category, and then it's supposed to bring up a list. But in most cases, Nope. Nothing. And when it does pull something up, for instance "bars", like 5 bars came up. REALLY?? In Austin? 5 bars? And I live in a Country Club neighborhood, and clicked on "Golf". Nothing. Really? Our members will be so disappointed to find that our golf course is gone. Seriously... Terrible app. ### 1/5 — Looks good, that's it. *2013-07-13* Runs smooth, looks good, but doesn't give any good info. The only event listed was funfunfun fest that will be happening in November. Was expecting more than generic wikipedia information. Didn't see the wikipedia info until a friend pointed it out. You need to click on the left arrow when the box comes up on the map not the right arrow for the video to play. However, there is a lot of restaurants and parks that are available in Austin that are not listed. They updated the app in the fall right after I downloaded it prior to moving here. It's been a wonderful guide to helping a new resident like myself. Not everything is in the app, but from those I've met and mentioned some of the places listed are apparently the best of the best. Plus it's a lot less overwhelming than something like Yelp and I've noticed them adding in new content. There is a wonderful walking tour in the app and they've started to add some tips. Needless to say, I've learned a bunch from this. I also love their suggestion button.
