### 4/5 — Love it - just 1 thing…

*2025-10-13*

The only thing I would change is for a played cue to change colors once it has been played. That way you can tell where you left off!

### 5/5 — Long time user

*2024-12-03*

This app is probably the best app of any kind that I have ever used! Not only does it ‘just work,’ it has all the features I can imagine needing except for those of a Broadway-level production.

Moreover, the support (by email) is prompt, friendly and thorough.

### 5/5 — Used in Live Performance seamlessly

*2024-10-15*

Because this is from the developers of QLab is an immediate reassurance that you’re going to use software that is heavily field tested and designed by those that know what are essential to the engineers reliant on it in the live performance aspect faultless and repetitive without hesitation.

The ability to use this software pro bono with one show in the system, is extremely useful to enable it to be ‘auditioned’ first. Other than the one show only rule, there is no other obvious restrictions to the user.

As an experiment, this entire production was purposefully compiled, edited and run from an iPad Pro in the current iOS 18 (which updated half way through the process but no problems whatsoever thankfully).

Did I need to return to a Mac ? No;
Is the app navigated as expected? Mostly;
Can you attenuate frequencies within a track? - no;
Can you modify levels within a track? - yes;
Can you pan a track? Yes;
Can you do this live? -no;
can you run multiple cues individually? -yes (like QLab)
Can you send multiple cues to multiple sources for mixing downstream? - NO it’s a L & R output only which will ‘mix’ the phase of L or R according to the individual cue settings.
Can you duck the master output? - Yes
Is there a ‘panic’ button? - Yes
Can you choose the cue number of each cue to align with the DSM book? - no, but you can set the update parameters such as each cue updates by 1 or 0.5 etc.
Can you write notes and general comments per cue? - yes - live? - no;
Are there count up/down timers per cue? - yes
Is it easy to reedit a cue once loaded ? - edit, no; alter the fade in/outs unevenly? yes.
Can you alter the sensitivity of ‘hovering hand syndrome’ ? Yes - did you trigger it ever? No!
What were your output connections to the amplifiers? - The iPad Pro has a USB-C connection on itself and there is one on the Apple combined magnetic cover and keyboard.

It only operated on the iPad not the pseudo connection. The adaptor used was a shop product USB-C to 2 x ¼” mono jack plugs labelled L & R (red for right)

The jack plugs patched into 2 x individual mono channels not a single stereo channel on a 32 track mixing desk . Individual channels were essential in order to obtain the fixed aural positioning of the sound effects, something that a stereo channel would not permit as it mixes linearly the horizontal audio plane, with the remnant still sent to the opposing speakers.

By using 2 x mono channels, the aural plane is completely fixable and was stunning in its blind ‘focussing’ of the effective in relation to the action on stage. An initial patch of the adaptor to the system did initiate a burst of earth loop hum even though fed from a clean earth technical supply, but once the iPad had recognised the adaptor, it rapidly stopped and never returned.

The iPad was also operated either on self power or charging power, but no additional background noise was apparent. There was no perceptive signal noise ratio whatsoever, and the clarity of reproduction was unquestionable.
The choices of audio file compatibility are as you would expect, and there are no file glitches to report - again, a series of different file types were used to ensure interoperability which was not a problem. Setting the output audio from the iPad didn’t feel ‘reassuring’ partly because the icon used to confirm that the USB-C adaptor was accepted was the displaying of the headphone symbol on the volume control of the iPad - not necessarily the fault of the software, and the creating of a unique “Show Mode” Apple Focus was and is essential. In that Focus choice, it is absolutely essential to shut down and lock out anything that makes any advisory noise, ping, update or phone call !, otherwise the audio/haptic will just come on through as usual onto the iPad, but the main system amplifiers !

Again, not a fault of the app, but trying to understand the Apple Focus mode of ‘on/off’ felt like insanity at one point, although that might have been trying to do it at 4am !
One thing I would have liked is a ‘line up tone’ to both audibly and visually on the master fader, ensure that 0.775v RMS was 0dB from source to amplifiers, but perhaps that is ‘old school’ these days?
Recommend this app? Fill your boots ! It’s awesome .

### 4/5 — Outstanding - but please!!

*2024-09-20*

This is an excellent app for audio cues. I use it primarily with a marching band or rehearsals. So theres a free version and a $100 version But can there please be something in between? How about a version that only saves 5 or 10 shows for a lower price?

### 5/5 — Unhappy

*2024-07-02*

There seems to be no way to skip back to previous songs while using a wireless Bluetooth remote. This is Crucial for running a show. And I paid $100 for this app!! I will remove this review if I receive a refund. 🙏🙏

**Developer response:** Hello --

In general, Go Button shows are meant to move forward, so that you can design your show in advance then trigger your show with just one button. But there are definitely several ways to skip back when you need to.

One way is to assign the "Select Prev Cue" action to a remote button in your Remote Control Profile. Or you can add a custom "go action" to your cue set to "select" or "start" and targeting "Prev cue" if that fits your show design better.

Please write us at support@figure53.com for more info. We write back very fast and are always happy to help!

(We don't have a way to issue refunds ourselves unfortunately, but you can contact Apple by clicking "Report a Problem" in your email receipt if none of these solutions work for you. And please feel free to keep using the free version if you do!)

### 4/5 — Love, but suggest…

*2024-02-05*

Just one request - any way for a “hit” to change color once it has been played? It is hard to tell what has and hasn’t been played midway through a show!

### 5/5 — All Pro App

*2024-01-09*

I am an A1 in live event production and GO Button is my go to app when I am responsible for the audio queue. The flexibility is amazing. Often times we will have pre-recorded VOGs running over ‘walk on’ ‘walk off music’ and GO Button has the flexibility to duck the music track while the VOG is playing and then bring the audio track back up automatically. The least amount of interaction can pre-programmed and tested helping to ensure a smooth show. Until recently, I was not using the HITS portion of the app. Now I put intermission background music on HITS and also use the FADE/STOP all audio to kill it when we are back. I was using QLab for years and still love QLAB, but having my iPad makes it very convenient, plus it frees up my laptop for other functions. I am very satisfied with GO button and recommend it to my live production colleagues.

### 5/5 — Un must have !!!

*2023-12-17*

Je l’ai encore utilisée hier pour mon spectacle et c’est une merveille !
Instinctive et complète, cette application vous permettra de gérer finement et de manière autonome, les musiques et effets sonores de votre prestation

### 5/5 — Absolutely the best.

*2023-05-02*

It does what it says it does. It works all the time. I have never had any problems with it, that’s saying a lot. Try the free demo and see if yourself. Love this app.

### 5/5 — Works amazingly well

*2022-10-27*

After using QLab enthusiastically for some years, I was delighted to find that Go Button works just as well (within some limitations) but on an iPad or even, amazingly, an iPhone. I keep on finding clever things it will do: for instance, it’s only a matter of seconds to save a show including the media files and airdrop it all to another device, eg iPad to iPhone. And all this for free!

### 5/5 — THE BEST App for backing tracks

*2022-01-05*

Perfectly designed. Easy to use. Does exactly what you want and need. I use this amazing app for my international tribute show George Michael Reborn. The developer and his team are genius in my book. I tried plenty of apps, this is THE BEST.

### 5/5 — Excellent, Easy to Use, Very Efficient

*2021-12-15*

Setup the program to run music for a local dance studio’s show after numerous mishaps with laptops / playlists / scratched CDs, etc. Very easy to setup, more features in the free version that we even need for this production. The studio is super excited to be able to run show audio without the issues of the past. I’ve considered purchasing the Pro version; but have no need for multiple saved shows at this point.

My only criticism is for the price saving multiple shows seems kind of steep. Maybe worth it if that also enabled some other feature like sending of OSC commands to external devices?

The only other thing I would like to see possibly in future versions is a non-music queue that can be used as a timer, ie for Intermission or something of the sort. I’ve come up with a workaround for it by creating a blank audio file and then setting a delay on it for the timer value desired.

**Developer response:** Hi and thanks for the great feedback!

I'm happy to report that Go Button does allow you make "empty" cues that don't have an audio file. You tap "Add Cue" then tap "Add New" in the navbar of the Media Picker. You can also long-press on the media file of an existing cue and tap "Clear Media File". These cues can have durations and most of the other capabilities of audio cues, just without any audio. :)

Drop us an email at support@figure53.com if you have any further questions! ~BL

### 5/5 — Absolutely incredible

*2021-06-06*

I use this as a music teacher in school on a daily basis for all kinds of purposes. The samples I need are prepared exactly how I need them and it keeps me free of tinkering with technical details while in classroom. Effortless workflow and the app is working flawlessly, it hasn‘t even failed once on me. I‘m waiting on a little discount window tho (pretty please?), the pro Price is a bit steep for me, as I‘m not even using the theatre functionality. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — This is the best, I love it!

*2021-02-02*

I’m a huge fan of QLab and this iPad version is a dream come true. I use a lot of different programs for music creation but this is my top pick for backing tracks and live theatrical performances. There’s nothing better in my humble opinion.

### 5/5 — Go Button with Audio ape

*2020-05-20*

Easy to use app. Very reliable, no glitches found so far. Works well with Audio Ape remote system. The combination of these two have made my magic shows more polished and professional.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No-Go-Button …

*2023-03-12*

They offer an (expensive) App for Pros and won‘t update it for three years now. Have fun testing it‘s stability during a live show 💁🏻‍♂️

**Developer response:** Hello he!ko -

(Updated 4/5/23 - version 3.3.0 is now available.)

Thanks for the feedback. We are a very small team and have to focus our efforts from time to time. (Especially these past few years.)

We are still committed to Go Button and are not aware of any stability issues in version 3.2.8. If you are having a different experience, we would love to know so that we can help you out.

Please feel free to contact us any time at support@figure53.com or send us a message through the in-app Contact Support screen. ~BL

### 1/5 — Does not import QLab shows

*2019-06-18*

Same as the comments I’ve seen on user forums I was expecting to import QLab shows into this app. It seems strange that this is not possible and a great disappointment. I’m sure it works well but I have not been able to properly test as I do not have time to reprogrammed my QLab shows into this.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry to hear Go Button did not meet your expectations. Go Button was built from the ground up to make audio playback for shows simple and easy. We would love to explore ways to move a show from QLab to Go Button someday. But with it not being possible to reproduce so much of QLab's functionality on iOS, figuring out exactly how to do that is no small task. We are very proud of everything that Go Button can do, and I hope you will have some time in the future to give all of its features a test drive! ~BL

### 1/5 — Bad app for live shows

*2013-07-26, version 2.0*

I was depending on this app to run a show. It crashed mid show and started running cue after cue and I couldn't get it to stop. Or it just wouldn't play any sound at all. i was forced to STOP THE SHOW!! I am ashamed I paid $10 for this app as it really let me down.

On top of that the editing cue feature barley works and is not responsive.

This would be a great app if it did what it promised. Please fix your app cuz it really failed me. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — Needs more features

*2012-04-23, version 1.0.3*

This is okay for basic needs, but more features are needed. There needs to be a function cue feature for operating fades to cues already being played. With that, there needs to be a fade curve feature added. Auto follow is nice, but here needs to be an auto continue to fire multiple groups at once. Pre waits and post waits are needed. A group function is important too in order to group cues together. Many functions are missing and I'm kind of disappointed that this was for $9.99. Multiplay for pc is free and has more functions than this.

### 2/5 — Air turn is now not working at all

*2023-02-19*

Used this app for a long time but just recently it has become useless. The air turn Pedal I used to use just doesn’t work. Neither does a new one. It’s not the Pedal as I use it on other programmes. Go buttton just will not recognise any action from it, I also can’t download folders from iCloud like I used to. I click download on the folder and nothing just does nothing. This is the most expensive app on here for music control you’d think it would work perfectly. Perhaps they spend too much time on qlab to worry about this. Sort it or refund us all. Cause it doesn’t work as it used to

**Developer response:** Hi Gary - I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. First, please be sure the Privacy & Security settings on your device are allowing Go Button access to Bluetooth. If your iOS Settings do not have that permission enabled, it could explain why your AirTurn commands are not being forwarded to Go Button.

We would love to help troubleshoot further. Please email us at support@figure53.com or send a message using the in-app "Contact Support" screen, and we will do what we can to get things working for you again! ~BL

### 2/5 — Amazing app for live sfx or music playback

*2013-10-12, version 2.0.2*

Excellent app. Regularly updated. I use for live theatre sfx playback. Reliable and simple yet with sample editing features built in.

### 3/5 — Out of the Box

*2025-10-05*

The concept is awesome but ease of use out of the box needs tweaking in my opinion. I’m using my one free event to determine whether to purchase or not. Thanks.

**Developer response:** We appreciate the feedback! Please write us using the Contact Support screen or email support@figure53.com and let us know your thoughts. ~BL

### 3/5 — Outrageously priced

*2023-07-19*

This is a great app for simple shows but the pricing is ridiculous. I use the free version but I wouldn’t buy the Pro version because it incredibly poor value for money.

As well as Go Button on the iPad, I use SCS on my laptop. That program can do loads more including controlling lighting, midi devices and mixers as well has handling audio inputs and multi channel output but costs half as much.

Would be handy to have some pro features but the concept of price elasticity of demand is clearly lost on the developers so I’ll spend my money on a different product thanks.

### 3/5 — Try before you buy

*2017-12-10*

I have run sound cues at a local theatre, 8 channel sound and integrated lighting DMX.

I used the free version to create background music for a children’s story reading which I like to read in school reading lessons.

I think £99 for the pro version is too much. If the limit is a single script I would like to see an import/export facility or a cheaper pro version.

If you like buy it but Just do a one off now and again but without being able to save and repeat my work it’s not for me at £99

If this was included it would get 5 stars

**Developer response:** Hi Galleythemole -

I am happy to report that you can in fact import & export shows without buying a Pro license. The Free version of Go Button has all of the same features and abilities as the unlocked Pro version -- the only difference is the number of show playlists you can have saved in your app at a time. (The Free version limits you to having 1 show at a time, while the Pro version can have an unlimited number of shows.)

The Go Button User Manual describes in more detail how to import/export shows here:
https://figure53.com/docs/gobutton/v3/working-with-your-show/importing-and-exporting-shows/

And feel free to write us any time at support@figure53.com if you have further questions -- we are always happy to help!

### 3/5 — Great App - Far too expensive though

*2017-07-18, version 3.0.10*

I love this app. its the perfect app for running shows, its a high quality app, and its safe to say that its the only app you will ever need to run a show.

The only downside - the £99 cost. It prices it out of many peoples reach - including mine! If it was £13.99 like some previous reviewers have said then it would be more than reasonable, but £99 is just fleecing people. Its such a big negative though that this review literallly lost 2 stars because of the super expense!

### 5/5 — good

*2026-06-26*

very good❤️

### 5/5 — Magic Show New User

*2026-04-26*

I have just started using Go Button. I could not be happier with the functionality and ease of use. A huge shout out and thank you to all who came together to make this amazing APP!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-03-10*

Impossible to criticise the free version. I’m pleased the bug that could make a cue look like it was playing but actually be silent has been identified and fixed. If the pro version could send OSC as well as just receive it then I’d be more tempted to pay for it.

### 5/5 — Top / Pro Version

*2026-01-16*

Ich habe nach kurzer Überlegungen die Pro Version gekauft. Tolle App!

### 5/5 — This is this one!

*2025-11-03*

I can’t rate this app highly enough. It’s made running shows on my own, live on stage possible. It’s just so easy to edit stuff. It’s totally flexible, adaptable, friendly, exportable…. Bought the pro licence and now I use it for all my shows. Thank you you clever developers you!!!

### 5/5 — Been controlling my shows for years.

*2025-08-28*

Go Button is hands-down one of the best apps I’ve used for running sound cues on stage. It’s reliable, professional, and perfect for live performances. I use it during The Reality Twister Comedy Hypnosis Show, and it keeps everything running smooth so I can focus on entertaining the audience. If you’re a performer who needs flawless audio playback, Go Button is a total game-changer.

— Johnathan Smith, The Reality Twister 🎭✨

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2025-08-07*

I’ve used the app both as a free user and a paid user. Never have been let down. I’ e been able to give it to non-tech people and they ran the show.

### 5/5 — Love this program!

*2025-06-17*

Been using it for years now on multiple shows. This is a great program. Professional quality sound cue system for very little money. Highly flexible; the more you dig into it, the more you realize how sophisticated it can be if you want. But it is simple enough for the beginner. Cannot recommend highly enough.

### 5/5 — Stabil & Übersichtlich

*2025-03-16*

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-02-08*

Go Button Pro is A M A Z I N G!
Have a play about with it, editing music, cues, over lay tracks and sound effects, stop start, fade in and out. It has everything. Personally, I would like a visual column whereby I could add notes & reminders that I could read as well as my tracks. But 5hats just a personal choice. It’s Great. Enjoy!!!
