### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-06-09, version 9.9.0*

We have had so much fun using this pass to do some fantastic trips around New York.

### 5/5 — Good option

*2026-05-24, version 9.9.0*

Some attractions are cheaper this way. Beware that the passes might not allow you to get to full activities in dome places like the spyscape, nor get to the pedestal
Or crown of the statue of liberty. But still a good option.

### 3/5 — Michigan visitor

*2026-05-05, version 9.8.1*

This is the way to go if you want to do more than one excursion. The only downside is that the times overlap so it's hard to enjoy more of the city.

### 5/5 — Bruce & Sight’s NYC

*2026-05-05, version 9.8.1*

So far so good

### 2/5 — Good for showing your pass only

*2026-04-17, version 9.8.1*

The option to plan your trip is awful. You can’t move stuff around and it’s very clunky. This would be such a great app if you could actually easily do that. Other than that it’s just good for showing your pass.

### 5/5 — Passes are superb

*2026-04-16, version 9.8.1*

So good and easy with so many choices to choose from

### 1/5 — Buggy, poorly designed, implemented and supported product

*2026-04-05, version 9.8.1*

We used this for Singapore. Seems good on paper but once you pay them things don’t work smoothly. In short it is better to just pay at each attraction you visit. Here’s the longer version

1. After you pay, it takes 4 hours to even get your pass by email.
2. The pass only works on each attraction once. If you end up really wanting to see it again you can’t. But if you book directly with the attractions you have full control.
3. The night safari instructions on the website and email don’t match and are very confusing. Trying to get support is a nightmare due to AI chatbots blocking you.
4. After getting to the night safari line the process to redeem tickets is very arduous and frustrating, likely due to a poorly designed website/ux. It is far easier to just buy the tickets online from the zoo.

I gave it a 2 because I did manage to see all the attractions I wanted to so I’m assuming I saved a little money. But it wasn’t worth the hassle.

Updated rating to one because every attraction we went to required us to go to a completely different place get our ticket validated, and then go back to the queue. It was a huge waste of time and very confusing.

### 3/5 — Museum pass

*2026-04-04, version 9.8.1*

The package is great. We can taste a lot of food. Some of the museum must be book first but it isn’t mentioned in the app. Most important thing to be improved is the guide for applying “MUSEUM PASS”.

### 1/5 — Unbelievably disappointed

*2026-03-29, version 9.7.0*

U have to get he head out app, to get the go city app to book with another site… all places telling u diff things to book, cancel,
Etc…too late to do what our 1st choice was… will never use again

### 1/5 — Wasted hundreds

*2026-03-25, version 9.7.0*

I was planning a trip to San Diego. I did an entire week of researching making sure this wasn’t a scam and choosing what we wanted to do. Decided to choose the one that had the aquarium, uss midway, San Diego zoo and San Diego zoo safari. Bought a 3 day pass for just under $500. We did the midway and aquarium yesterday. Drove 45 min this morning to do the safari today and zoo tomorrow. Tickets wouldn’t scan so they sent us to the help area. Turns out from when I bought the pass last month to now they changed it and the zoo and aquarium are no longer available with the pass I bought and they won’t honor it. So I literally paid almost $500 to do 2 things that wouldn’t have even costed us $100 for our small party of 3. Absolutely livid. This is literally our first vacation in 20 years and we were devastated because now we can’t afford the zoo or safari park and it was the entire reason we chose this area. Deleting this app and will never purchase again. Words cannot even express how upset we are with this whole program.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — terrible

*2026-08-10, version 10.3.1*

terrible experience

### 1/5 — Waste of money!!!

*2026-08-07, version 10.3.1*

We used this app in Paris and it completely failed. We booked a three day pass but when we tried to use it on the third day, every place claimed that it had expired. We knew the rule, the first use starts the clock. We had that in mind for the things we wanted to do to make our money work for us. Starting Saturday, we should have been good thru Monday. Not the case. Also, there’s nothing that we could find on the website that indicated that you CAN’T actually use the pass in the app to get into places (the QR code). At Versailles, we tried to scan, “you have to download…” download what?? We headed to customer service and they worked hard to get the correct bar code downloaded. Props to them. We were then prepared for Orsay with the bar code pass download. When we tried to scan, fail. “You have a 2 day pass and it’s expired”. We had to pay full price for all the tickets of the things we thought we already had access to that day. I think this thing was $500. We maybe got $100 out of it. Absolute trash.

### 1/5 — App lets you book closed attractions

*2026-07-19, version 10.1.1*

I had booked a tour for a stadium through Go City. I received a confirmation email and a reminder email the day of I came to the attraction to the meet up point where there was no tour guide I met up with another family who was having the same problem as me although the app let me book the attraction and sent me a confirmation email and sent me a reminder email the tour company is closed so although the app let us book when we arrive, there was no tour upon speaking to customer service they stated that this information is available on their app where it states that yes it is closed but somehow it let me and another group of five book this tour. I then was asked what time I arrived. I arrived 15 minutes early as stated on the go city app to which customer service told me I was supposed to arrive 30 minutes early which is not stated on the app after bringing up my concerns for why the app let us book if the tour company they use is closed. They stated that I should’ve checked and that it is my responsibility. No responsibility for their actions so make sure to be careful because the app will let you book closed attractions and you will waste time and money to come to a tour that does not exist. You will also receive a confirmation email stating your meet up point, the time, order number, and booking number but the tour does not exist.

### 1/5 — Not what it seems…

*2026-06-24, version 10.0.0*

If you have the Go City New York explorer pass please be aware at Madison Square Garden is usually sold out so when you show up, you can’t get tickets for the same day and you’re only allowed to get tickets for the same day. Madison Square Garden sells its own tickets and it seems like whatever leftover tickets for that day can be allocated to Go City past users. This is not stated in the Go City program. It seems like it’s this way for a few other attractions as well so I would highly suggest just paying out-of-pocket at each attraction rather than buying a Go City pass.

### 1/5 — Not Worth It

*2026-06-17, version 10.0.0*

It doesn't deliver value for the money. Dealing with 3rd parties outside of the app is an obnoxious chore.

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2026-05-23, version 9.9.0*

Way too much work

### 1/5 — Very unreliable

*2026-05-17, version 9.8.1*

Their system was offline on the day I reserved and they charged me for it. Their customer service was awful and did not accept my claim

### 1/5 — Avoid, poor design & after service

*2026-05-16, version 9.8.1*

Even though you specify a date range for your travel plans it defaults to today’s date every time you book something. This meant I accidentally made a booking for today not next week alongside all my other bookings. Live chat incredibly unhelpful and would not allow me to amend or cancel. So lost $380 and refused to send me transcript of live chat.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2026-04-09, version 9.8.1*

The app is so glitchy I cannot see where I can go or book anything.

Complete waste of money

### 1/5 — Wish I Could Give Go City Negative Stars

*2026-04-08, version 9.8.1*

Please be prepared to miss out on most of the attractions that are supposedly included and spend more in the process. Many of the attractions were already unavailable after we purchased our Go City pass, which you cannot know until after you buy this pass. The attractions that were available were listed as included in the app, however this is misleading because they have a tier system which limits what type of attractions you can visit and these are not outlined in the app. When we accidentally booked two attractions from the same tier, there was no indication within the app we could not attend both. Customer service was unfriendly and unhelpful in resolving this. I would recommend pre-booking tickets directly through the attraction you would like to see instead of using this clunky app that will most likely cost you more instead of saving as advertised.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Save money & hassel

*2026-08-23, version 10.3.1*

It’s so worth it. Skip the lines and uncertainty by having the pass accessible with the tap of your screen.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-08-13, version 10.3.1*

Excellent

### 5/5 — Great for everyone

*2026-08-08, version 10.3.1*

Purchased the 3-day for three people and it was perfect! Gives you a total of nine times that you can visit over 100 attractions in NYC. So if one person decides to only go to two attractions, there are seven left! You don’t lose “one”. Each person is not locked in to use their own three. Awesome deal! Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2026-07-31, version 10.2.0*

*2026-07-20, version 10.1.1*

First time getting the pass for California one of the best choices I’ve done to take my family out on a trip not only did they give you access to a bunch of different locations and attractions, but it makes it simple for you to do so and of course cost-effective

### 5/5 — Worth the cost.

*2026-07-14, version 10.1.0*

The Go City makes it very easy to attend many events during the vacation!
