Also u can make an avatar, that’s good but you don’t get achievements through the app u got to log into the website in a browser to be credited Gaia coin from achievements etc , I started with 300 coin in app but once I logged onto the browser website I got all the achievements and my money got boosted to 3000 coin , I would have missed out if I didn’t log into the website . It’s also very hard to browse items if you don’t kno the exact name but this was always the case with Gaia u always had to use an outside database that a independent user made but they don’t exsist anymore so the only way to find specific items now is by going thru ppls wish lists to see what the name of an item is or u can ask in forum if ppl can remember what stuff is called from a long time ago. You can’t just type in hair u have to figure out what devs back in the day specifically called the item . This can be very frustrating especially to new players . Your basically losing users cause it’s so hard to find what u want ### 2/5 — To be expected *2025-01-19* It’s busted. Like the other apps, it barely works if at all. Their site is more than half busted and checking the fix requests submitted, anything that would make their Ips more functional and accessible is always rejected. They make apps and abandon them, most are P2W because they stone wall you, they do minimal updates to their apps if any and just as little for their website. Design, functionality, UI… It’s all just busted and it’s sad because the overall aesthetic for EVERYTHING they do is amazing. But that’s just it, it’s only aesthetic. Unfortunately their talent lies solely in their art department and nowhere else. Edit: can’t enter the catwalk at all from the app now, last few days have been consistent “Database Error” That’s just one more broken feature on an already busted and abandoned application ### 2/5 — Desperately in need of updates *2024-12-08* The app crashes frequently, and is ironically a worse experience than the mobile site most of the time. This says a lot, since the site makes my browser refresh and crash more than it should. I was happy to find out that Gaia had an app and I could do customization on the go, but it’s NOT worth it. I can’t stress this enough. The app’s current state would be more “acceptable” if it actually received updates to fix the glaring issues it has. Changing species crashes the app, my closet is miserable to sort through, and it forgets I’m logged in on some pages. I will give props to the devs that the app LOOKS good. I can say that much. But it’s like how sweaty teenage boys cover themselves in cologne or spray instead of showering: you can cover it up a bit, but at the end of the day, the stink’s still there, and you just smell even stronger. Tried to get a refund and Apple said I’m not eligible for a refund even though I never received anything! Waste of money and a scam. And I still have no idea why they treat it the way they do… I think kids in this generation would actually really like zOMG! And could be quite playable on iPad as well… (why not proposition a big name company to help work on zOMG?)… I still hold out hope and actually pay for a Gaia subscription because I love Gaia… if the app allowed for profile editing or even could use markdown (which I’m not sure if it does)… or introduce a dedicated Discord server… I wouldn’t mind a better avatar editor where I can easily search and organize… I’m not sure if this app even sends notifications? I have a really hard time with depression especially at work but now that I’ve rediscovered my love for Gaia online I’ve been given something to look forward to. Once I found out there was an app it was even better!!!
