I absolutely love the convenience of the home collection. It definitely encourages my household to recycle because they make it so easy. However, the app and user interface is not great. Signing up for the premium subscription required me to email the customer service team and make a credit card payment via a port Designer browser page for the mobile device. With just a little bit more attention to the app, this would be an absolute five star service. I highly recommend anybody who cares about the future to use the service! ### 2/5 — It’s getting worse *2025-06-02, version 4.0.0* it’s supposed to be a great way to support recycling but the app has been total laggy. I have been trying to book and there have been a number of lags and glitches that happened. First is it takes minutes for available schedule to show up. And when they show up, the second glitch happens and the confirmation does not go through no matter how many times you press the button. Tried reaching out via instagram and it takes them hours to reply. I would somehow accept this if the subscription is free, but having a paid model means there are expectations to be met. Recycling has been incentive driven before, and now recapp even makes it harder to do so with paid model but glitchy services. 😫 ### 3/5 — Better rewards *2025-04-26, version 2.1.7* Before Recapp introduced their membership system, recycling through the app was easy but not very rewarding. You could recycle your bottles and feel good about helping the environment, but the actual benefits — like rewards or incentives — were quite limited. Recently, Recapp launched their new Membership Eco program. I just subscribed, and now I’m curious to see what real benefits it will offer. Hopefully, it makes recycling even more motivating with better rewards, discounts, or special offers. So far, the process remains smooth, and it feels good knowing you’re contributing, but I’m waiting to see if the Membership Eco tier really brings extra value compared to before. I’ll keep using it and update after experiencing the full range of benefits! ### 3/5 — Door to Door collection stopped working *2025-04-05, version 2.1.7* Its been a few months since I was last able to book collection, frequently checking back. All I see is the red text that says “please use the mobile app at this time” which is totally unhelpful ### 3/5 — No option to create pick up request. *2025-02-15, version 2.1.7* Since it has become paid the option to create a pick up request does not highlight. It says use mobile app for this which does not make sense. Instead of making money kindly look forward for better service. ### 2/5 — Recycling Shouldn’t Cost Us. Please, Bring Back Free Collection. *2025-01-31, version 2.1.7* It was fine until they introduced subscription fees for door-to-door collections. Now, I have no choice but to discard the plastic bottles I’ve been collecting for the past four weeks. I hope they bring back free collection, as it provides a more convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of recyclables. While the rewards are a nice idea, they aren’t particularly appealing or useful, so they don’t provide enough incentive. I’d rather recycle properly, but with the added cost, I’m left with little choice but to throw them away. ### 2/5 — It’s been great until it wasn’t *2025-01-29, version 2.1.7* I loved this app out of all the other recycling apps out there cause it offered free pick-up but they changed it recently and I’m not willing to pay for 19 AED per month. I think it doesn’t make sense that people are already helping with recycling yet they still have to pay for it. I understand that we can get 1 AED for every 2kg of recycled materials, but I can only recycle 2 kg per week, so it’s not even a break even for me. The drop off options won’t work for people who do not have a car. I dont know what happen. I already tried to unstalled and installed again but still the same before I book for the first time it is fast now nothing. However, I ultimately decided to uninstall it because the scheduling process for pickup is frustratingly slow. But unfortunately now I am trying to book an appointment for collection and it got cancelled several times in different days which is annoying where the driver call you once if you miss it and call him back on the same minute he doesn’t answer and even not waiting for you to come outside the house!!!! I am very upset with their attitude recently which result of so many bottles at home with no use so I started to find another Company to collect them. An also, today I tried to book the App is not responding and start to jam which hard to continue. ### 1/5 — Didn’t like the new subscription *2025-02-20, version 2.1.7* After too many searches to get company for recycling and actually making 10 full bags , they decided to make a subscription which is non sense to me , I felt the company became more commercial other than to save the environment and the funny part , they offer a discount in subscription . I was hoping to be a continuous client but no more I will be and I will not go to a mall with bags and put one by one !! Why not give us the option for free. We are trying to help our environment. If points change directly to cash then it will be fair enough we tried to help but it adds to our expense. I even throw 1 bag since the collectors did not pick up because of parking issue DRAMA ### 1/5 — Outstanding Incompetence *2024-12-28, version 2.1.0* I’ve tried to give ReCapp the benefit of the doubt, but this app is beyond broken. It’s supposed to be a simple recycling app, yet somehow they’ve managed to make it impossible to use. Now they want to charge for collections, but guess what? You can’t even make a payment because the app kicks you out constantly. Payment fails no matter what card I use. Drop-down menus don’t work. I’ve spent more time trying to navigate bugs than actually recycling. Honestly, this app feels like it was released without any proper testing. I even called the number, he just press the buton only and hearing my voice.. ### 1/5 — Ruining the concept *2024-10-21, version 2.1.0* I have been using recapp for the last 4 years. On the side that they are unreachable if you have any issues or just suddenly cancel your collection with no explanation - I was pretty much happy to have a chance to recycle. Having many friends and families in Europe, have been seeing the benefits of it. They encourage recycling and people can even earn from it. On the other side, Recapp decided not only to put behind their long-time customers but to push them to subscribe for a ridiculous amount per month in a very manipulative way giving them no option, just to collect the trash 🫥 Sadly, I have to stop recycling. ### 1/5 — Poor rewarding system *2024-10-04, version 2.1.0* The app company are making good money from the waste collected, but the rewarding system is really poor and you will end up by not getting anything in return.. ### 1/5 — Money oriented recycling *2024-09-14, version 2.1.0* Good idea to save the environment, but the guy coming to collect refuses to collect more than ten bags although he could take the 20 bags at once and save the environment by reducing fuel consumption of his van coming back to the same place ,, paper recycling is only for premium members that’s funny where in the world do you have to pay for recycling, it’s opposite you should be paid for recycling Also cardboard recycling is only for premium members, I can’t absorb the idea of paying to recycle, that’s insane ### 1/5 — The service *2024-07-21, version 2.0.10* The service provided by them does not rise to the level of the worker. This is because of the manager of the customer service department. When I thank you for not showing up at the specified time, the drivers always cancel the appointment with the excuse that the customer is not available, knowing that no one has contacted me.
