However it's no longer working on older android devices. I will probably guess it doesn't work for android anymore in general since Pokemon go made changes to detect 3rd party accessories. :( ### 2/5 — Gotcha rip *2024-03-23, version 3.5.1* It worked beautifully for a little over a month. If connecting fails go to iPhone setting/bluetooth/Pokémon go plus/forget device. Once it is removed go into the go-techs app and click connect. Pair the device and the setting pop up. Nothing helps. We spent $180 on these wristbands and I am pretty unhappy that Datel is not fixing this issue. I see in the app history that they haven’t updated anything for TEN MONTHS. And there is no way to contact them to find out what they will do. Don’t waste your money. I was so excited about my new evolve, but it’s been nothing but a massive disappointment. Please please please fix the firmware update issue. EDIT: I take very good care of my watch, never let it charge too long, never get it wet, and bam. Today it quit working and my app keeps trying to sync with my roommates watch. I’ve got a fuzzy white and black screen on my watch face. WASTE OF MONEY. When it’s great, it’s REALLY great. When it doesn’t work, it’s REALLY frustrating. Has gotten me many a shiny. The con of the devices is that they are garbage. One in five might work as advertised. And your waisting money trying to get one that works. I hate the new one as it is a down grade from the original. The pro is better connectivity at the cost of cheapness and the battery life. You are lucky if you can get one that lasts longer than 2 months. I started repairing my own to extend battery life and even swapped the battery for a better one. Thats compatible. Niantic has nerfed all the fun in the game and this is the closest i get to playing a lot. My job does not let me take community day off so this plays for me. Never missed one since. My only issue is randomly it just disconnects me for no reason. Bag isn’t full. Pokémon bag also isn’t full. Other than that it works perfectly most of the time so I can’t complain much ### 5/5 — Don’t Trust the Haters! *2022-11-18, version 3.0* Work a lot, so was looking for a way to help my Poke GO experience. This watch?? Game changer. It’s so easy to use, and the manual is very comprehensive and explains what all the alerts mean. The watch does not disconnect very often, it disconnects after maybe an hour or so which is an easy fix! Open the poke go app, tap the Pokémon go plus icon (looks like a poke ball), and tap the button on your watch, and you’re good to go! I think the people who are having issues with the watch are breaking it themselves. You do have to be gentle with the usb charging end, you plug it straight into a USB port and the metal side needs to have contact with the metal in the USB port. Seems like common sense, but some people can’t figure it out and damage the charging connector. I just love that I can fully customize my experience. Wether I’m down on items, hands full, or looking for quick xp, I can turn on only the features I want. I love seeing the notifications popping up when I’m in a really busy area, or getting 6 notifications driving by a city plaza and got 6 poke stop spins effortlessly. It feels like cheating, but it’s not! 10/10 would recommend, you can’t beat it! ### 5/5 — Not working *2022-10-29, version 3.0* I can’t get the device to connect after Pokémon go update ### 5/5 — Works well - once you learn a few things *2022-10-16, version 3.0* Every once in awhile - I have had this thing for a couple of YEARS - and it’s happened once to where I had to remove it from my Pokémon go app and my phone’s blue tooth - reconnect it to Pokémon go settings .. Pokémon go plus / after you have connected to it with this app… and it finds it and all is well… Being able to configure this thing via tha app is its saving grace. Stop complaining. *2021-03-01* I’ve been using this “PoGo Watch” for over 3 months and I never experienced any problems with it. Not sure why everyone is complaining in the reviews. It’s very simple to operate! This watch wouldn’t sell for $50 if it didn’t work correctly, now come on. 😂 OBVIOUSLY when your phone is idling for more than 5 minutes of not playing Go, your watch will disconnect from the game so it can save battery. All you gotta do is reconnect it to Go and it’s as simple as that. I feel like these complainers and trolls are the people who can’t figure out how to use a smart phone or operate their Bluetooth correctly. It’s so simple, read the digital instructions people... it comes with the watch, don’t leave slandering reviews on a great watch that actually works. But! This is prevented by going into your settings in Pokémon Go, scrolling to "Pokémon Go Plus" and unchecking "Nearby Pokémon."
