## What is Goad plan?

Goad is a task manager built around one rule: plan first, then act. Free to use, and Goad Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase.

Every morning, Goad makes you choose what you're actually going to do today — not just add more to a list. Once a task is on your plan, it escalates until you finish it. Snoozing is limited to once a day per task, and Goad asks why. No endless backlog scroll.

HOW IT WORKS

• Morning ritual — Start your day with a quick planning session. Goad surfaces your overdue tasks, today's deadlines, and lets you pick what to commit to.
• Escalating reminders — Tasks that miss their deadline come back louder. The longer you delay, the harder Goad pushes.
• Shutdown ritual — End your day by triaging unfinished tasks. Carry them forward, defer them, or cut them. Close the loop every day.
• Calendar integration — See your schedule alongside your tasks so your plan fits your day.

FEATURES

Items marked (Goad Pro) require a one-time in-app purchase. Everything else is free.

• Priorities — Must / Should / Nice-to-have — not everything is equally urgent.
• Subtasks — Break big tasks into steps.
• Tags — Colour-code by project or area.
• Widgets — Glanceable task count and next-up task on your Home Screen.
• Streak tracking — Build momentum on recurring habits.
• Recurring tasks (Goad Pro) — Daily, weekly, custom weekdays, biweekly, or monthly.
• Live Activity (Goad Pro) — See your active task on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen.
• iCloud sync (Goad Pro) — Your tasks on every device, through your own private iCloud.

Your data stays private: no account to create, no ads, no third-party trackers and no analytics. If the app crashes, it sends a crash report that is not linked to you, so we can fix the problem. iCloud sync runs through your own iCloud account — we never see your tasks.

FREE AND GOAD PRO

The free tier keeps up to 10 active tasks, with the full planning and shutdown rituals, escalating reminders, widgets, tags, subtasks and streaks.

Goad Pro is a single in-app purchase: you buy it once and keep it, with nothing recurring and nothing to renew. It unlocks six things — unlimited tasks, recurring tasks, custom notification ladders, Live Activity, iCloud sync, and your full Procrastination Index.

Goad works best for people who are serious about finishing what they start.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-26

Goad plan 1.4.

iPhone Duo: Goad uses whichever screen you are on. Folded, it works as it does on any iPhone. Unfolded, Today, Calendar, Progress and Settings sit in a sidebar beside your list.

Easier to read: text, badges and buttons have stronger contrast in light and dark mode.

Larger Text: at the largest text sizes, task titles wrap instead of being cut off, and every onboarding page scrolls.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-24

Goad plan 1.3.

Updated for iOS 27.

Reduce Motion: with it turned on, banners and on-screen messages now fade in place instead of sliding in, and a task's checkmark fades in instead of growing.

Calendar: in the Week view, new arrows step to the previous or next week, and after midnight the calendar moves on to the new day.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-07

Goad plan 1.2.

You can now rate Goad from Settings. After you have finished the evening shutdown ritual on a few different days, Goad may ask once for a rating; you can simply dismiss it.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-02

Goad plan 1.1.

A sharper look on every screen, and animations that now follow your Reduce Motion setting. Crash reporting added, so problems get fixed faster. You can now share Goad with a friend from Settings.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-15

No release notes.
