I’m stuck at the first screen. I’ve downloaded other apps to replace it. Please fix this or I’ll have to delete this. September 2024 Update: Have deleted the app. Even though I see it gets updates they are worthless when you can’t even make it past the second screen to login. Found another app that works better than this and will use that going forward. Happens twice, so it's been deleted. Other than that I like how the app is created and operates when it's working. It would be a 4/5 without losing my progress and not letting me log in ### 2/5 — Used to be good but riddled with bugs now *2024-06-01, version 1.0.11* Been using this app for about half a year. The version from last year was great, simple to use and does what exactly what it advertised. Now with these recent updates, there are constantly bugs where timer progress does not save. Another bug where it will arbitrarily mark down 12h of progress. Unfortunately, the core feature is becoming unreliable. ### 2/5 — Bugs *2024-05-30* Seems to be a problem with the subscription not registering. Signed up for an annual today, but I’m unable to create any new trackers. When trying to restore purchases, nothing registers, and force closing the app doesn’t work either. Hoping for a fix soon. ### 3/5 — Keeps deleting my progress *2024-05-09* I’ve had the app for about 4 months, and last week it completely signed my account out and deleted my progress. Today, the same exact thing happened. Not sure if this is an issue for just me or other users, but it’s pretty frustrating when you try and sign back in with your account, and all of the logged hours have been removed. If the support team can reach out with an explanation I would really appreciate that! ### 3/5 — Wish it worked *2024-04-04* I was excited to try this app to kickstart some goals I set for myself, but there’s an issue with the log in. The app won’t save your goals unless you make an account, but every time you exit the app it logs you out and won’t let you log back in. After I put in my email and password, the app just sends me back to the start page. So for two days in a row my logs have been lost. Glad I got a free trial when I signed up, will be checking back in if this app ends up working properly. **Developer response:** Unfortunately the version available when you downloaded the app had a really nasty bug in it, this was not intentional! The free version should be available unconditionally, without an account. If you update to the latest version this issue is fixed, thanks again and I do apologize for your experience. ### 4/5 — Good time tracker with potential to be great *2023-10-02* Seems to be a pretty good app for tracking time on various skills. Would love to see the widgets on the Home Screen and the live activity on the Lock Screen be able to start and stop a skill’s timer. Currently, tapping on them just takes you into the app where you can stop/start the timer. Also, for the widget presentation, I don’t think it’s necessary to show total time logged and todays time. It makes it cluttered so the name of the activity or skill is cut off. I would prefer to see the full skill name along with a start/stop button and either a timer or just an indicator that a skill is currently being timed since the lock screen displays the time in progress. Overall, this app gets the job done and has some visual appeal as well. I think if the widgets are decluttered and made more functional without forcing you to go back into the app when you tap on them, then this would be amazing. Keep it up. **Developer response:** I've taken all of your feedback on the widgets into consideration and updated them accordingly. You can now clock in directly from the home screen Widget and out directly from the lock-screen Live Activity. But I made goated for myself first, I’m using Goated to track my personal journey to 10,000 hours playing the guitar and learning to draw. Upon logging in it appears I have no data - it’s like I’m a brand new user. I had over 400 hours logged that I would love to recover. My son was also logged out on a different account but his data is still there. When I log in it takes me to a start screen. I tried looking for a developer site to submit this directly but couldn’t find anything so hopefully this gets through. I’ve been loving using Goated and will happily change the rating when resolved. I know working on producing music takes putting hours in, but I had no way to keep me accountable and make it enjoyable. This app does both. Now when I hit the button I “clock in, lock in” and feel great knowing I am inching closer to mastery. 10,000 hours is a lofty goal, but if I hit 1,000 I truly believe I’ll have professional sounding hit records out! This is by far the easiest, most straight forward app that I’ve found. I does everything I want and more. When I saw that there was a feature to help me journal my progress, I HAD to get the pro version! I love uploading weekly videos of me playing songs and looking back on them. So much easier than scrolling through my camera roll if I want to look a few weeks back! This app was well thought out and well executed.
