The service is very convenient for me (a senior) and they offer senior rates. Some of their vehicles have very poor suspension and the drivers drive way too fast. All gas & brake! Very bad idea. I called to confirm the car 10 minutes before the scheduled pick up. My booking was confirmed but I was informed on the phone that there wasn’t a car available to pick me up for at least 20 minutes *after* my scheduled time. I had to cancel and scramble to find a ride as this new time would cause me to miss my train. There was zero proactive communication from Checker to tell me they didn’t have a car. Had I not called ahead of time I would have been screwed. If you’re going to allow pre-booking, figure out the logistics before subjecting your customers to this incredibly poor service. ### 1/5 — Looks Great - Shame it Doesn’t Work!!! *2021-05-05, version 6.5.0* Firstly, I’m quite tech savvy! First impressions of this App were excellent. Great looking user interface, intuitive, and nice security protocols. What a shame, that after three days of trying to use and a phone call to to the company, that this app simply will not work!!! Every time I tried to complete a booking, I get error message, “opps something went wrong, try again in a minute”. This is just hurting your business when you put out an app that claims that you can book a taxi but cannot. ### 1/5 — Great design, just lots of bugs *2019-11-05, version 4.0.1* Edit: Now I can’t select an address... the only thing I can do is use my favourite list, home and work address. I can’t edit any of those to add new addresses and I can’t say where I’m wanting to go. This sucks because I rely on this app, but at least you can still call in to book a cab... assuming their phone lines aren’t down :/ Original: Addresses constantly get mixed. As in, say you book for 1027 Oxford Street West, it changes to another street that’s nearby. I have this happen with 2 of my favourites which tend to lead drivers astray when dropping me off/picking me up. It also sometimes never updates the drivers location. So if you’re sitting there waiting for about 10 minutes, and see the driver is still in the same spot, there is a high chance that he’s nearby (I cancelled a ride after 10 minutes and the driver showed up after I already booked a new cab). Lastly, you can create your “favourites”, or locations you go to frequently. Aside from it changing the addresses, you can’t actually scroll to view your list when you’re booking a cab. Otherwise, it’s extremely convenient to have and use. If these bugs get fixed, I would give 5 stars.
