Well, this works decently when exchanging tickets with additional confidence.
The amount of data and information including government, IDs, facial scans, etc. means you’re giving up a lot of your privacy and personal information unfortunately

Joined this app because it sponsors quite a few Facebook groups for apartment searching in Buffalo, NY. The groups are a mess, even though the rules demand using goConfirm codes, the admins who supposedly work for goConfirm don’t enforce anything. When I initiate conversations with landlords from these goConfirm-sponsored platforms, many of them don’t have a single clue what this app is. When I first heard of it and signed up I thought it was great, but now I’m just realizing it’s a catch to get as many users as possible, while they keep running these groups where anything—safe or unsafe—goes.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to share this, and for trying to use goConfirm the way it’s meant to be used in your conversations with landlords. Our team started operating these Buffalo groups after a long stretch without active management, which left a backlog of illegitimate accounts and low-effort posts from before our involvement. Since then, we’ve been working steadily to clean things up and reestablish a stronger sense of community. Requiring or encouraging use of goConfirm is a key part of that and helps deter and protect against scammers. We want to give people a way to connect about rental and roommate searches with more confidence, despite increasingly common scams in this space. We’re introducing the app and rebuilding the group culture at the same time, and that takes a bit of time to take hold. While goConfirm is already being used by tens of thousands of people across the US and Canada, we’re still working on building local density in areas like Buffalo. We're also improving how the app gets introduced within groups (so it’s clear that people should use it in their interactions with one another) and working on more tools for users to introduce and share it. We want more people to understand how and why to use it in their one-on-one interactions, rather than only seeing it as a requirement in the rules or solely for joining the groups. While we definitely would love for more people to use the app so they can reduce their risk of and exposure to fraud and scammers, we’re committed to making the groups we support safer in general and more reliable for everyone in them. immediately after creating my profile where i was required to upload a picture of my driver’s license i got a creditwise notification that my hertz.com account appeared on the dark web. i don’t believe this is just a coincidence and regret downloading the app. i would be curious if any other users have had a similar experience. please share in your reviews.

I would have finished this process 15 minutes ago and it is very easy and nice to use, but I couldn’t see the suggestion to remove my glasses when my face scan would NOT verify. So maybe put those suggestions not in the middle of the content maybe print it in a different color like orange snd in a conspicuous area on the screen like below, outside the previously viewed content area of that particular page. But it was nice!!

I’m in an online group for hockey ticket exchanges. It was a huge struggle trying to weed out scammers early on. The group introduced using GoConfirm as part of the process and it’s made a HUGE difference in the ease of making a transaction with confidence that you aren’t being scammed. 

It took almost no time to get set up and now I won’t buy if the seller isn’t verified. 

The new endorsement feature is going to be awesome for helping to build a reputation as a trustworthy buyer and seller.
