The combat is tactical enough to be enjoyable without being tedious. They give a lot of free stamina so you really don’t hit a stamina wall unless you auto play a ton. Neg : All banners require special pull tokens, which are nearly impossible to earn for free, but the characters you can pull are massively powerful. -Ranking up requires multiples of characters and there are currently ~50 SSR vs 10 commons. So good luck. -If you do manage to rank up a character it is a logarithmic power curve, so a ranked lvl 30 will dominate a lvl 50 team. -Everything can be upgraded and all the upgrades require drops to upgrade but each run only gives 1-2 drops and you need 20 to upgrade a single time and you need three different items and they don’t all drop from the same dungeon. -There are special dungeons that are really fun, but they are only available for 30m - an hour a day. That’s right. 30 minutes. It doesn’t rotate either so if you aren’t online at 8pm EST you don’t get to play it. So yeah. Grindy. Pay too win. Still kinda fun. ### 3/5 — Camera angle is not good *2021-12-10, version 1.23.0* Game itself is pretty cool and unique but I have one major problem with the angle. I wish you allow us to zoom out more and rotate the view freely. For me personally it’s too close and I get motion sickness from it. And I got some SSRs. I grinded quite a bunch on this game and got pretty far. But, I had to delete it due to the lack of storage. And I came back and tried to log in with my gmail acc and it worked. After a while I deleted it again. I come back now and it reset my progress?? So I tried deleting it and re-installing it, and the same results. You just lost a player, but I hope you fix this so you don’t lose anymore in the future. Edit: Thank you for your response, I overall thought the game was pretty addicting. My friends always compare this with genshin or punishing: gray raven. I feel like this game could lean more towards those. Like in genshin, it should let you move freely across the map and find the characters for the story. I also wish that you could take pgr’s fighting system. I don't really enjoy how its turn based, and it kinda annoys me. Devs, please look into these games, all I'm saying is this could be a MASSIVE improvement for GoGS. Thank you. Thank you for your support, have a nice day~ ### 3/5 — Summoning kinda blows *2021-05-27, version 1.12.0* Visuals and gameplay are great ......getting characters kinda blows though like I don’t mind even t summoning but to get a genesis tarot cards you have to pay money pretty much Otherwise you’ll just be doing the 10 summon random , this probably the worst game in terms of trying to get good characters but the visuals are great and in story mode I’ve pretty much stuck with story characters ### 4/5 — Mobile games in general *2021-05-07, version 1.11.0* Not many games have good storyline or game designing. For example, for the past two days the packs tab in the shop will not display anything, so I’m missing out on the daily free packs and any packs I might want to buy... but I can’t find any way to let the developer know I’m having this problem. Very frustrating. You can’t take my money if you’re not showing me what I want to buy... =\ ### 3/5 — Genesis summons money needed little stamina *2021-04-13, version 1.10.0* Plays like any other gacha will get to a point we’re you can’t progress cuz of lack of stamina unless u buy it. Units require hundreds of shards just to ascend and some units can’t even get shards unless thru gacha. Stick to loving R and SR, SSR take to long to progress. ### 5/5 — Great game and very free to play friendly *2021-01-31, version 1.8.0* I played a lot of Gatcha games and this one is a good one. Unlike shadow raid legends, this game is very free to play friendly, has lots of content. Great graphics and very cool combat system. Of course, there are main things this game can improve on. For example, come up with better strategy to expand the player base, remove repetitive weekly events and features that will improve quality of life for players in multiple time zones. Overall, I enjoy this game ### 5/5 — Great game but need more marketing *2021-01-13, version 1.7.0* I’m a fan of this game’s developer so far. I played both Langrisser and Gogs. Both are gorgeous and f2p friendly. However, one of my suggestion is that you need to spread your game more. There are barely anyone who knows about your games. ### 4/5 — One big problem *2020-12-31, version 1.7.0* I want to start of by saying that this is an amazing game with amazing character design and a fun story. Even if you don’t have any luck summoning SSR’s you can still make an amazing team which is fun to play. There is on the other hand a huge issue concerning time zones. I live in Europe, the servers are all American time zones. Some events are time based and start at 9PM which for me in Europe is around 5AM in the morning. This bothers me (and I’m sure I’m not alone) since it’s ruining part of the game. You have mission which tell you to do these events but you can’t (unless your awake at that time of course). All in all a great game would recommend it but please fix this one way or another. ### 5/5 — Don’t be intimidated by the Genesis System *2020-12-29, version 1.7.0* I wouldn’t suggest this game to strict free-to-play players, but even as a light spender with proper resource management, one can slay content in this game. Be aware that you can use free currency to normal summon and calibrate the pity system, so when you do buy genesis cards, or get them from an event, you guarantee the pity on the genesis banner you want. As long as you manage intelligently and get into a daily resource loop, this game is a next-gen gacha blast! Animations might seem stiff, but it adds a sense of seriousness. The cutscene attacks are a little under budget, but in-combat skill animations are gorgeous. This game looks as good as a gacha game can look in 2020, let’s be real. The progression system is so simple and convenient, maxing out units is actually possible. Join Wings of Love if you don't plan to pvp, and you can always feel welcome! I tried restarting, redownloading and even erasing everything to try to fix it but I keep hitting the exact same roadblock. It’s a shame because I played at release and really enjoyed the game but can’t even start it in its current state. If it’s something I can fix I’d really want to know but I can’t seem to find any info about it online. ### 1/5 — Wasted Potential *2021-10-05, version 1.21.0* This could be a 5 star game but the pay to win gacha is beyond any other game I have played. Which I have tried many games on the App Store. I love the game play and many of the mechanics are great but the same grind in this game as every gacha but now you need $$$$ to get the best drops. For a newer player the catch up is serious even after spending $$$(a decent amount $20-50) still no SSRs on the genesis tarot at all. Even upgrading the characters you have are gated by an insane drag to get 2 shards a day and hoping to pull a dupe. You basically only have a chance at pulling a dupe on R and SR characters. Not worth the time or money in the game in my opinion. From what I find online these were new changes to hit the global as much of the pay to win is not affected in other versions of the game. Unless the developer improves the ability to get genesis tarots and a better drop rate, not worth it. Honestly given the track record of similar game companies the chance of getting an improved game is nil. Game will die completely before they would improve the game. TLDR: Don’t play the game. I got a bunch of incredible units, but soon got bored. I had made sure to link it to my Facebook in case I ever came back to it. Deleted the game and that’s that. Few months later , Today (as of writing this), I re-downloaded this game curious to see what was new, excited to see my rare units I’ve obtained from long ago because they had absolutely amazing designs, and I had put in a lot of time to get them. However as I logged in with my Facebook account it started with the tutorial , at first I was a bit confused but assumed that maybe , just maybe, since I hadn’t played for a while, the game saw that and was re-teaching me on how to play. I go through the tutorial and see that everything was gone. I was back at level 2, the two starting characters, I’m honestly pretty upset. I made sure to log into my apple account because maybe I had made a mistake an had pick the wrong account. But nope. Everything was absolutely gone. Check “MY Internet” for correction…. No app it’s your horrible design that would let me connect… every other app mi internet is perfect but you cant load at all not even to the log in page… this game is horrible before i even played it… no one should download this game… *spits at this game* ### 1/5 — Potentially good game ruined by greed *2021-02-25, version 1.9.0* - Absolute GARBAGE pity system that resets whenever you summon *any* SSR hero. - Paid-only banners exist, and have so many rules to prevent you from getting the hero you want (especially on duo banners). - Hero shard farming is ridiculous. FIVE MONTHS to 6* a hero and you can only start if you already own it. - No packs are worth the money. Way too expensive. - Too many pop ups for real money. Literally every time I’m out of gold. - Story and other modes’ difficulty skyrockets constantly. Very frustrating losing massive resources from incomplete Arcane Trial. - Multiplayer mode saving energy is nice, but too mandatory. - Constantly making new servers = too many dead servers with guilds who can’t recruit - Tons of UI bugs, constantly getting disconnected while pvping ### 1/5 — Can’t get into the game no matter what I try *2021-02-04, version 1.8.0* So I’ve really really been interested in this game and wanted to give it a try, what I didn’t expect is that I wouldn’t be able to get into the game with any of my accounts. Have a good day! ### 1/5 — One month end *2020-12-12, version 1.6.0* I spent money and was quickly power creeped by new unit Artemis. My old team was outclassed. The rates are bad and they have paid banners. The free banner never has rate up. You can pull ssr but good luck promoting them because you need shards. For an ssr it takes 50,100 and finally 150 shards to reach its final grade. You can promote one more time for 250 shards if you are a whale. A duplicate ssr pull nets you 50 shards. You can buy 2 shards a day with free ingame items. Speed is important but gems rarely drop speed. It’s a game meant for bleeding out whales. You can work on a team but as soon as a new banner hits you will be losing arena rank. The rates are horrible, the special rate up summon currency is ridiculously difficult to get without shelling out money. It feigns quality of life additions behind actually paying for the convenience. All you have to do is look at Illusion Connect and see how foolish this game is with a similar model. If you are a whale then you are fine, but for f2p???? Good luck because you wont be able to even get that far in an enjoyable manner. Oh and have fun rerolling with this game as well. For a game to release in 2020, this is really laughable and I pray no one is actually giving you guys money because your model is garbage and it’s so obvious you are willingly taking advantage of people who have a gacha issue. Currently I’m F2P and I’m doing okay just hanging in there to be in the top 500 but I wish it was just a little more Friendly to those who don’t have that kind of money laying around I get it though company gotta make money . Edit after I got a response from developers from 3 to a 2 Didn’t like that “you choose how you play the game “ you right I definitely do but you as developers choose how to handle the experience for FTP players yes you have given us events and yes they give decentish rewards but you don’t expect someone to be on 24/7 to hang in there with pay to win players . And if you need proof well I’m proof 7 days in I’m on pretty much all day due to being out of a job because of medical reasons .( 3 months so for not type of income either ) So sorry for not being able to choose the P2W . Wish you have a good game~ ### 3/5 — Great game but abandoned *2023-05-12* Fun mechanics and lots of potential but Zlong has abandoned the global version. There have been no significant additions or updates in years. All they have added is new heroes with increasing power creep. The only challenge is PvP but it’s so p2w that unless you spend ridiculous amounts of money on the rotating gatcha banners you have no hope of breaking into the top tier. Also, the population has decreased significantly with many citing lack of content. TL;DR: Try this if you want to experience fun mechanics and enjoyable graphics but expect to complete the playable content quickly. And I can’t recommend spending money on the gatcha unless you just really want to try for top tier pvp but prepared to spend significant sums. Update from developer response: Saying you are updating the game is not the same as doing it. Proof is in the pudding. 11 months with no updates and the only updates shown are stability and new characters. Show that you are updating actual play for GLOBAL players (not just the CN servers) and I will change my review. This game is an absolute 5 stars, I love how its easy to get characters and move onto different stages. The combat isn’t hard but it isn’t easy either. Its super easy to level up your characters and you can easily have a great team with SSR characters. The bosses are easy to beat so you shouldn’t be stuck on a level for too long. The graphics are amazing and so are the animations for the ultimate attacks. This game has a lot of potential for future development, I recommend this game if you’re into fighting RPG! ### 5/5 — Give us an option for a female protagonist *2022-09-23, version 1.28.0* I love the game. I had been looking for one with strategy similar to this one, as I enjoy being able to choose which battle move the characters make to which enemy rather than everything being automatic. However, I do feel it wouldn’t be much of a bother to add the option of being a female protagonist, we girl gamers are goddesses in our own right, you’d assume we would maybe have a female option with the name of the game. The trade button would have like emblems, characters, gear, and gems + more, then we could get heroes we like and when we get them they go to lvl 1 again and all their stuff on them like gear, perks, and more is gonna reset. This would be a brilliant option to spice things up for players of GoGS and it would make the game more fun to play and when you want a strong hero because you can’t pass a level or a fight you go into the trading hub. I think this would be a brilliant idea and idk if you already have this for maybe like higher level players or like players that have been playing for a while? I’m only lvl 43. So please add the trading hub because I’m stuck and I can’t pass the fight so please consider this as helping the game or my opinion. Yes it holds the basic gotcha principles but the gameplay is amazing. Turn based battles while also 3D battles. The Graphics are amazing. Being F2P isn’t bad either once you put around 3-4 hours it does get rather slow and a little annoying to be able to summon. The only thing I would change is the other summon cards not the golden ones for basic summon.
