When I try to get a code sent to me to register, no code comes to me. After a couple tries, I was able to register with email instead of my phone number. I then could not connect using Bluetooth. I was able to connect using NFC. The app needs some work to make it easier to use. While you can use the light without the app, there are some extra features on the app. Also light modes and adjustments are easier on the app, once you figure out some of the organization quirks. ### 2/5 — It's great when it works *2025-07-06* But never fails I get ready for a photo session and they won't work.... very annoying, irritating and frustrating when clients are waiting and I can't get my lights on. ### 2/5 — Can’t connect or register *2025-03-21, version 3.4.3* Works well when it connects. It adds so many NFC waiting, and none of them connecting. Bad app ### 1/5 — Not working with CL10 *2024-10-13* It seems like it's a known issue currently that it does not find cl10 bluetooth connection. Also it does seem it used to work. So whatever they did with the update, it ruined it. ### 1/5 — Latest update broke SZ150R connectivity *2024-09-24* After the September update I can no longer control my SZ150R lights. Only turning on/off. After resetting bluetooth the fixtures are not available for pairing. Dead in the water with thousands of $$$ of equipment. ### 2/5 — Works great…on one device. *2024-07-19* When first connecting to a phone, the app works well. Intuitive and responsive. But it only connects once. If you ever need to connect a second device, you are out of luck. The Bluetooth will need to be reset on every single light. Maddening. No luck, and the MAC address of the Bluetooth for the F200Bi = 0000, which is odd. This is the right app. I don’t know what happened to the last guy who left a review but so far I’ve been able to connect all 4 of my lights (NFC function didn’t work so I just did it the old school way), downloaded the latest firmware and wirelessly control my lights too. It’s no blackout app but it certainly is above and beyond what I was expecting from Godox when I downloaded it. Good work guys. Looking to see this app continue to grow and improve as you go on. Plz add the ability to see battery percentage of my lights from the app. This would be super useful and I’m assuming it will come in future releases. Also I love the fixture number functionality but it would be good if we could see this number somewhere in the app / lights status screen. ### 5/5 — Works on 600bi 4x4 Perfectly *2024-10-04, version 3.3.2* With all thr bad reviews I was expecting the worst. I reset the Bluetooth on the lights, which are hung in the air. App found the lights and they connected. Thanks. ### 5/5 — Works with no registration required *2024-04-24* I want to give Godox credit that this app works without any kind of mandatory sign-up for some online account. The setup process is quick and easy, and thereafter, the app, generally, just works. That shouldn’t be rare, but it’s becoming distressingly so. It’s simple. It doesn’t try to be something else. It doesn’t get in my way. It doesn’t, if I recall correctly, pester me to review it. More apps should work this way. Yes, it’ll disconnect if I turn away from it for a while, forcing me to leave the mode and re-enter it. It’s an inconvenience, but for my needs at least, a minor one. ### 5/5 — Works Great *2023-01-02* I really like using the app because it is so much faster than the remote. Not sure why all of low ratings because the app works great. ### 4/5 — Good app but missing a few important features *2024-07-20* I’m relatively new to the app but pretty impressed so far. I came from the Astera app and must say that though this has less features and customizability it’s much easier to use. One big thing that is missing is the battery percentage of the lights and the time remaining until the lights power off. If that alone was added it would be enough to make the app really good. It would be great to have the ability to change the brightness of each light with a slider on the fixture page without clicking into the control page for each light. There are many times where I need to make quick brightness changes between individual lights and clicking into the control page for each light is cumbersome and time consuming. The Astera App did this well with have a brightness page for the brightness levels of app the connected lights. Once I use the app more l’ll have more specific feedback but so far I think it’s a good app that could be great with some more indicators and customization. ### 4/5 — Useless? until you find the tutorial video *2023-06-28, version 3.1.2* I was having no luck connecting my new SL60Bi II light to the app and left a one star review. Then a google search led me to a Godox youtube video for this version of the app - there is a very unintuitive, specific sequence of events necessary to link a fixture to the app given in the video which works. ### 4/5 — Works great! *2022-08-26* This works really well, and I use my phone to manipulate lighting for photo and video shoots. I have two T30 tube lights, two T60 tube lights, a 75DR light panel and a 150DR light panel. That’s six lights I can control from one spot! Choosing color, brightness etc without going all around the studio and fussing with buttons. It has no problem finding the lights, and I can easily rename them for convenience.
