## What is GoFilm HK?

GoFilm HK shows you what's on at cinemas across Hong Kong — all in one place. Browse what's showing at every major cinema in  Hong Kong, with English and Chinese titles, language filtering, and direct booking links.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

- Browse showtimes across major HK cinema chains, refreshing twice daily
- Filter by Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, or New Territories — or pick your favourite cinemas
- Filter by date (today, tomorrow, this week, next 7 days) and time of day (day, evening, late)
- Filter by language: English, Chinese with English subtitles, or Chinese
- See films in both English and Chinese titles (中英文)
- View ratings from TMDB,IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, runtime, and synopsis
- Watch trailers and Mark Kermode reviews where available
- Book through the cinema's own ticketing system — GoFilm doesn't sell tickets

FILM ALERTS

Set an alert for a film you're waiting for and get notified when new showtimes appear at your saved cinemas. One aggregated daily notification per film — no spam.

WATCHLIST

Save films you want to see. Watchlisted films are highlighted across the Showtimes and Films screens whenever they're showing somewhere.

PRIVACY

GoFilm HK collects the minimum data needed to run the service. No tracking, no advertising IDs, no third-party analytics. Use as a Guest with no sign-in, or sign in with Apple or email magic links for cross-device sync and save watchlist and cinema data. Delete your account any time from the Account screen.

COVERAGE

We cover Broadway Circuit, MCL, Emperor Cinemas, Golden Scene, Cinema City, Newport, CGV, and other HK chains. New cinemas added regularly.

IMPORTANT

When you book through a GoFilm link, you book directly with the cinema. GoFilm shows showtime data but isn't part of the booking transaction. If you're not booking through GoFilm, please confirm showtimes with the cinema before travelling.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-13

Faster showtimes. Film showtimes now load much more quickly, especially for films playing at lots of cinemas.
Clearer cinema names. Cinemas now show their location alongside the name, so it's easier to tell nearby venues apart.
Visual fixes. Long film titles no longer overlap the certificate badge, cinema locations are easier to read, and independent cinemas now share a consistent colour.

- Tap any film — in Showtimes, Films, or your Watchlist — to jump straight to its details.
- Search now shows Details and Showtimes buttons for films that are currently screening, so you can go straight to where and when to watch.
- Not showing at your selected cinemas? GoFilm now automatically shows where else a film is playing, instead of a dead end.
- Tap a cinema's name to see it on the map.
- Smoother search that clears when you switch tabs, plus tidied-up wording and small fixes throughout.
