## What is GoJa?

Planning a Japan trip with your friends? Those 47 saved reels are getting buried in your saves, and we both know it. GoJa pulls everyone's saved spots into one shared, routed itinerary. Built for your whole squad, not just the one friend who ends up planning everything.

Here's how it works:

STASH EVERY SPOT
Everyone drops their must-sees, food spots, and saved reels into one shared list. Nothing buried in your saves, nothing lost in the chat.

YOUR DAYS, ROUTED IN ONE TAP
One tap and GoJa's AI clusters your spots into smart daily loops — with the best route and real travel times (walking + transit) between every stop. No more zig-zagging across the city.

SPLIT INTO SQUADS
The ramen crew and the thrift hunters don't have to do the same thing. Everyone can plan their own day, all inside one trip. Nobody has to agree on everything.

SHARE ONE PLAN
Everyone sees the itinerary and can RSVP, tweak, or sit one out. No more "wait, what did we actually decide?"

Plus everything that keeps a group trip smooth:

• Shared phrasebook — instant Japanese translations the whole group can use, with real pronunciation (and romaji) for ordering, shopping, and getting around.
• Vote on dates & stays — can't agree on when to go or where to stay? Built-in voting sorts it fast.
• Shared vs. private — keep the group plan and your own downtime, no clash.

From the neon of Shinjuku to the shrines of Kyoto and the food halls of Osaka, keep your whole group in sync.

Free to start — grab your squad and start planning your Japan trip today.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.13.2 — 2026-07-26

Version: 1.13.2: Promo Codes & Squad Polish

• Promo Codes: Got a promo code? There's now a "Got a promo code?" button on the Upgrade screen. Pop your code in, check it, and unlock your Squad Trip Pass — no store checkout needed for gift codes.
• Shared Stashes Are Shared Again: Anyone in your squad can tweak a stash's notes, duration or food type, and the person who added it gets a heads up. Deleting is still theirs alone — everyone else can suggest removing it.
• Squad Settings That Stick: Squad emoji and colour changes now save for every member, not just the squad creator. Tapping a squad card opens the squad rather than the member list, and joining one keeps you on the list where you were browsing.
• Phrasebook Playback: Typed your Japanese in English letters instead of kana? Playback now converts it and pronounces it properly, rather than spelling it out letter by letter.
• Your Phrases, Your Edits: Phrasebook entries can be edited by whoever added them, and everyone else can still listen and suggest removing one.
• Clearer Notifications: Notification cards now say what actually happened — "You're invited!", "Plans updated!", "Trash it or keep it?" — instead of a generic "Notification", and delete requests finally include the details.
• Steadier Lists: The stash list no longer jumps back to the top when another traveller edits a stash mid-scroll, and switching filters takes you cleanly to the top of your new results.
• More Room to Plan: The "Wide Open Day!" banner now collapses with a tap, and itinerary notes fields are much roomier for jotting down the details.
• Friendlier Errors: When something doesn't save, GoJa now explains it in plain English instead of showing a technical error — and never quietly closes a sheet pretending it worked.

### 1.13.1 — 2026-07-21

Version: 1.13.1: GoJa Pro Trip Upgrades

• GoJa Pro Trip Upgrades: Introducing optional Squad Trip Passes for travellers who want premium planning tools across one shared trip.
• Shared Premium Tools: Squad Pass features are unlocked for the whole trip, while AI loop generation quotas stay personal to each traveller.
• My Loop Top-ups: Need more AI loop generations without upgrading the whole trip? You can now add a personal top-up for one trip.
• Clearer Planning Limits: New quota chips, upgrade prompts, and paywall previews make it easier to understand what is free, what is Pro, and what is personal.
• Premium Planning Teasers: Free users can preview locked trip tools, including map and planning insight experiences, before deciding to upgrade.
• Purchase Safety: Added restore purchases, improved purchase success and error states, clearer legal/support links, and safer backend entitlement handling.

### 1.12.6 — 2026-06-26

Version: 1.12.6: Operating Hours Intelligence

• Smart Operating Hours: GoJa now intelligently checks your planned itinerary times against real-world Google Places operating hours. It will drop a warning badge right on your timeline if you've scheduled a visit while the place is closed!
• Real-Time Edit Warnings: We've brought this intelligence directly into the Edit Modal. Adjusting the time or duration will instantly pop up a warning if your new schedule crosses into closed hours.
• Timezone Perfection: Rebuilt the operating hours engine to perfectly align with Japanese Standard Time (JST). It elegantly handles complex split-shifts, 24/7 establishments, and places that stay open past midnight.
• Polished Details: The Opening Hours accordion in the details view has been beautifully redesigned. It now actively highlights the specific day of the week you are scheduled to visit, making it easier than ever to confirm they are open.
• Streamlined UI: We've tightened up the interface by intelligently hiding route blocks and resource sections when they aren't relevant (like for simple notes), keeping your screen clutter-free.

### 1.12.5 — 2026-06-24

Version: 1.12.5: Smart Itinerary Filtering and Improving Maps

• Smart Planning Filters: We've introduced powerful new "Unplanned" and "Not locked in" filter chips directly into your Add Itinerary flow. You can now instantly isolate stashes that are entirely missing from your schedule, or find spots where your squad is waiting for your RSVP.
• Resilient Map Pins: Re-engineered the map filtering logic so your active stashes and loop markers no longer drop off the screen unexpectedly when moving or zooming the map.

### 1.12.4 — 2026-06-24

Version: 1.12.4: Performance & Route Engine Update

• Instant Timeline Updates: Re-engineered the itinerary editing engine to process massive, rapid changes flawlessly. Your drags and drops are instantly visible, while our backend batches the heavy Google Route calculations seamlessly in the background.
• Performance Upgrades: Attempted to make the itinerary faster and more responsive, especially during heavy loads.
• Smart Timeline Segregation: Your schedule just got clearer. The timeline calendar now intelligently splits into 'Accepted' and 'Other' tracks, easily distinguishing your committed plans from pending requests and hidden suggestions.
• Granular Member Details: Revamped the Itinerary note modal with segmented tabs, dedicating an entire view to clearly see exactly 'Who's In' and manage squad attendance efficiently.
• Secret Route Support: Travel blocks are now preserved even when navigating to or from a private (hidden) stash or accommodation. You get accurate time gaps without revealing secret location details.
• Precision Timings: We've successfully normalized all legacy trip data across the platform to snap perfectly to our new strict 15-minute itinerary grid.
