### 5/5 — Great Team App!

*2026-05-08*

We began using GoJoe at my company recently to encourage physical activity and "gameify" the experience of it. The app was really easy to use and synced easily with my wearables to make the transition to their platform easy. Our group is having a lot of fun competing in a friendly way that is also getting us all more active outside of work and even more engaged with each other at work.

### 5/5 — Team based challenge

*2025-11-18, version v3.6.0*

Excellent app to use, very simple, lets you track activity by your smart watch or enter manually. Very interactive with updates and lots of additional features like Les Mills

### 5/5 — Simply the best

*2025-11-02, version v3.6.0*

Finally! A corporate benefit that is engaging, fun and useful.

### 5/5 — Brilliantly Fun!

*2025-10-03, version v3.5.0*

The best benefit I’ve been given in my career. Genuinely fun and useful

### 5/5 — Fun fitness tracking

*2025-06-14, version v3.0.11*

Despite feeling like I don’t get as many points as I would like for trail cycling the app rocks.
It’s been a great way to enjoy some friendly but intense competition with my gang at work.

### 5/5 — Great motivator

*2025-06-13, version v3.0.11*

Used via my employer and it massively helped me get more active. Loved the team aspect of challenges and having the Les Mills subscription in the app. I even got £10 worth of vouchers to spend on Amazon.

### 2/5 — GPS is not accurate

*2025-06-13, version v3.0.11*

The GPS doesn’t work well. I’ve had instances where my walk or run distances are 200m short compared to Garmin or Strava. There has been 1 instance where it totally did not work

### 5/5 — This app has inspired me to keep going

*2024-09-10*

I started using this app as a part of a team challenge. Once the team challenge was over I wanted to keep going. I joined other teams and created new teams. If you’re a team workout type of person or just a competitive person this app will help you with your goals.

**Developer response:** This is great to hear. Social connection helping motivation is why we created GoJoe - so love hearing when it's working. Thanks for sharing!

### 5/5 — Joining Go Joe gave me purpose

*2024-06-12, version 2.72.0*

I have been meaning to up my exercise for some time. Since Go Joe went live for the two week challenge I have been completing my steps at work and continuing my bike ride to complete at least 10,000 or more steps in week one total 78,940. I aim to continue this when the challenge finishes

### 5/5 — So motivational

*2024-06-07, version 2.71.2*

Love this app, keeps me motivated and such good fun!

### 5/5 — Best for people looking to get fit

*2024-04-22, version 2.67.0*

It’s got a lot of fun challenges, has a lot of motivation and GREAT CONTENT! I really recommend this to anyone I can!

### 4/5 — Great way to get on track!!!

*2024-03-08, version 2.64.0*

Just started using the App. It’s a great way to hold yourself accountable! And compete with your friends.

### 2/5 — Okay

*2023-07-24, version 2.43.4*

It’s okay but some people just claim nonsense points as evidence isn’t needed

### 5/5 — The Best activity tracking app on the market

*2023-06-24*

I’ve been using activity tracking apps for years and GoJoe blasts the rest out the water. I used it for a work activity challenge and it really helped motivate me with its gamification to do a little bit more each day, the team behind the app are great, they take on user feedback which helps improve the experience for everyone and I love using it now the work challenge is done to try new activities I’ve never tried before. Highly recommend.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Point caps

*2026-07-12*

Why do you have a point bar that goes up to five, yet at three bars you cap the points? Terrible app find something else out there!

### 1/5 — Updates Have Broken This App

*2025-08-23*

Since the most recent major update this app has become unreliable, janky, and doesn’t save your settings. I’m tired of starting this app for a run and getting done only to find out it, yet again, didn’t save my activity.

**Developer response:** Sorry you're having difficulties with the app. If the information being pulled through alongside your review is correct it shows you're using an old version of the app - and there have been some updates since that improve performance. It's worth seeing if there is an update you can download or, if issues still persist, please contact our team at help@gojoe.com.

Thanks,

Team GoJoe

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-05-15, version v3.0.1*

After registering, the following days when I opened the app, it plays a ‘demo’ screen on repeat. If I tap the screen in juuuust the right place, a login screen appears, but it’s literally a white pop-up screen with an orange continue button. When you type your details you can’t see the boxes to enter your details or what you’ve written. Having spoken to colleagues who use this app, some other users are experiencing the same issue.

### 1/5 — Not linking

*2025-04-17, version 2.86.0*

It shows that my Apple Health is linked but the app still doesn’t show any of my activity on my home page. Will remove 1 star review when fixed

### 1/5 — Great idea but very glitchy

*2024-01-03*

We had this for work and I really love the concept - much better than a step counter. The issue was mainly it didn’t deliver on the promise - on a few occasions it dropped signal in urban areas but as the timer continued so your speed was off, then a few times the pause/resume stop functionality didn’t work so you had to close the app, lose what you had tracked and manually add. For me under performed in the basics so even though the team, chat and gamification is great - the fundamentals are not good enough. Wouldn’t recommend until it’s more reliable.

**Developer response:** Hi Mrs B,

Just coming back on this (albeit fairly late on) to say that we've had a few new versions of the app drop since then and the GPS tracking is now running (or walking/cycling?) really smoothly.

If you're still on GoJoe, we'd love to hear any updated thoughts on it.

Thanks,

Team GoJoe

### 1/5 — Woefully confusing application

*2023-06-26, version 2.41.0*

This app is terrible to navigate I suppose if your 'woke' or 10 years old you may instinctively know how to navigate around it. I found it a nightmare to find anything and use it with any form of enjoyment there are far better apps out there that do similar things. It needs far clearer decriptors of what buttons do and indeed if they are even actually buttons. I would have needed a full tutorial just to be able to use this application.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t record all your actively unlike Strava

*2023-06-12, version 2.41.0*

Not sure how this app has such a high rating. I was cycling way longer that what the app recorded. Navigation to find people you know is awkward not user friendly.

### 1/5 — So slow!

*2023-06-12, version 2.41.0*

App is so slow and glitches every time you use it. Lots of buttons that don’t go anywhere when you click and isn’t very user friendly. Shame as is a great idea behind the app, just needs more work.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2022-02-13, version 2.9.0*

Lost count of the number of times that my activities have been lost due to application crashes. Something like this needs to be reliable and I’m afraid this just doesn’t deliver on that front.

### 1/5 — Misleading app: only connects with Garmin devices

*2020-08-08*

I really liked the idea of the social fitness with ability to set own teams and compete in teams. But after downloading and being forced to signup to see what it actually can do , realised that only Garmin devices can connect with the app. All the other devices which the images suggest are available (Apple Watch, Fitbit, etc) are actually not. After logging in it, and try to connect devices you see the list of devices with a “coming soon” watermak that’s been there at least 1 month. Disappointing and misleading.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for your feedback and for liking our team competition concept. Our app now syncs with Apple Health, FitBit and Garmin but you can also manually upload any activity without having a wearable so anyone can now join in the action. Our dev team are working on connecting even more devices as we get the fact that it's better to have the other wearables . We've taken your comments on the chin and have now changed the app store image and text to make things clearer (sorry for any prior confusion). We'd love to get you involved in a GoJoe challenge if you could give us another chance. Thanks again for the feedback.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Motivational

*2026-06-01*

This app has helped me see what I am doing and realistically see what I do do. I enjoy the challenge of competing against friends too. There’s some good little advice and training things within it too. Only thing I don’t like is the lower scoring for smaller activities like mediation. That and being restricted to 8 hours a day especially being disabled and not finding it as easy to do other activities. Oh housework should be in it!
Thoroughly loved the app and the challenge our group did over a month. It’s helped me form new good habits.

### 5/5 — Wellbeing & fitness - GoJoe review

*2026-06-01*

A huge thank you to GoJoe for supporting us and helping set up a 30-day challenge for our community.

I run a social group for single people across the North West, and we also occasionally join forces with other social groups for events and activities. This challenge has been a fantastic way of bringing people together, encouraging friendly competition, and motivating members to be more active.

What I particularly like is that activities are weighted differently, which helps make the competition fairer across a wide range of fitness levels and interests. We also made a conscious effort to focus on wellbeing as much as fitness, encouraging people to get outdoors, improve their mental health, build healthier habits and support one another along the way. The challenge helped people of all abilities get involved and contribute to their team.

The app is easy to use, engaging, and has created lots of conversation, encouragement and team spirit throughout the challenge.

My only suggestion would be around gardening. While gardening is already included, it currently scores quite low compared to some other activities. There can be a big difference between light gardening and several hours of digging, lifting soil, moving sleepers, wheelbarrowing compost and other heavy garden work. It might be worth considering separate light and heavy gardening categories to better reflect the effort involved.

Overall, it’s been a great experience, and I’d happily recommend GoJoe to anyone looking to build motivation, community spirit, healthier habits and wellbeing. We’ll certainly be looking at running more challenges in the future.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2026-05-27, version v3.18.0*

This app is bloody awesome, I’ve competed in group challenges 3 times. It’s also fab with all the info, exercise classes you get access to the like les mills amongst others. Links up great with Garmin, Strava and apple health

### 5/5 — Well-Being Challenge for online social group

*2026-05-27*

As this Wellbeing Challenge comes to a close, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at GoJoe 😊

From day one, the GoJoe team have been incredibly supportive, helpful and encouraging throughout the whole process. The app itself has been fantastic and this challenge has not only encouraged wellbeing and activity, but has also helped bring people together socially, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and create new friendships and support networks 💚

I would highly recommend both the app and the team behind it, and we will definitely be using GoJoe again for future challenges 💪✨

One small piece of constructive feedback would be around the creative activities section. Sometimes participants were limited on the number of points they could achieve through creative or wellbeing-based activities, which made it a little harder for some less mobile members to keep their scores up alongside more physical activities.

Other than that, it has been a really positive experience all round, thank you GoJoe! 🌟

### 5/5 — Fitness and Culture

*2026-05-14*

We starting using GoJoe at the office as a team building exercise. It has been great for our culture! It also had motivated many of us to get up and exercise more. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Fun and easy to use

*2026-05-14*

Its a great way to build connection among teams

### 5/5 — Solved my motivation!

*2026-05-12, version v3.17.0*

I love using GoJoe, it’s given me such strong motivation to be consistent in my routine and exercise

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-05-12, version v3.17.0*

Great app thats kept me motivated to keep up a streak of over 2 years! Really great improvements to the app and top quality content

### 5/5 — Great Social Fitness App

*2026-05-11*

We’ve been using Go Joe for several weeks now. It’s a great app to encourage social fitness and team building when used with a group!

I look forward to challenging my coworkers and getting more exercise with the help of the Go Joe app!

### 5/5 — Social Fitness

*2026-05-08*

I’ve been using the GoJoe app for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the most engaging fitness apps I’ve tried. What really sets it apart is the social and team-based aspect—it makes working out feel less like a chore and more like a shared experience. The challenges are fun, motivating, and actually push you to stay consistent.

The interface is clean and easy to use, and I like how it integrates different types of activities, not just traditional workouts. Whether you’re running, walking, or doing something more niche, it all counts, which keeps things flexible.

That said, there’s still room for improvement. Occasionally the app can feel a bit glitchy when syncing activities, and I’d love to see more customization options for tracking goals or personal stats.

Overall, GoJoe does a great job of turning fitness into something social and competitive in a positive way. If you struggle with motivation or enjoy being part of a team, it’s definitely worth trying.
