It’s great that I can see multiple programmes I subscribe to in one app but the video content is glitchy. Once you’ve watched a video you can’t scroll back to watch bits again without going back to the main module. Or it’ll just play sound and not picture. Recently it’s not even allowed me to go back to the module after the end of a video and I’ve had to shut the app down and start again.

Love the app and worked flawlessly up until the latest update in January.  After that, the Notifications never gets updated. I’ve confirmed there are updates when I use the website. Hope there’s a fix upcoming.

This app is a good community app - when it works!  I have had to delete three times today and get it out of a loop. I read a comment and when I try to go back to the home page or notification page, it decides to be a merry-go-round.

User Experience Review for GoKollab

I've been using GoKollab for a while now and I really want to see it succeed, but unfortunately, the user experience—especially on mobile—needs significant improvement.

First, the platform is slow to load, and several essential usability features are either missing or inconsistent across devices:

Mobile version lacks video duration visibility. This makes it hard to plan whether I can watch a video now or later.

Text in the Notes section isn't copyable on mobile, which is frustrating when I need to copy something important like a password while on the go.

Topic names of videos aren’t visible on the laptop version, but they are on mobile. So if I have multiple tabs open, I can’t tell which video is which.

No forward/rewind controls (like 5s or 10s jumps) on either platform. If I miss something, I can’t easily go back or forward without frustration.

No picture-in-picture or hover video support on mobile. The video stops playing if I switch apps, such as when using navigation while driving.

To make things worse, the overall responsiveness is slow. At times, the page freezes—I can’t scroll up or down, or the video just won’t play. Occasionally, the entire site crashes, forcing me to reload everything and lose my place.

These are basic features that are standard on many other platforms, and it's disappointing to see them missing here. It feels like the app is moving backwards instead of evolving with user needs.

I hope the team seriously considers optimizing both mobile and desktop experiences soon. The content is good, but the delivery is currently holding it back.

When I get notifications,  the Kollab screen goes beyond my phone screen…which means I can’t click the messages or click the back button.  Please fix these issues.

It would be great if the app didn’t have to be deleted every other day because it won’t load. When you do get it to load, the commenting loads slow, notifications are intermittent, and adding images and videos work half the time and you have to start over. This app needs a LOT of work.

1. Editing tools for posts and chat are not existent. Much like a text on your phone. Paragraphs change on their own and no way to edit them afterwards in private chats. And the app just jumbles all the text together. Pictures are either too big or too small and unreadable. 
For posts there’s no bold, underline, font size, etc. 
2. Notifications get seen and marked read then they come back over and over. On the browser it’s just as bad. 
3. Bios say 200 characters but only 130 show up for other to read. Useless. 
4. Tiny one inch high windows to write and edit text for posts, replies and chats. Ridiculous. . 
5. Search option is only a single word search that brings up thousands of possibilities. Useless. 
6. If you use the same email for other creators you follow on kollab the notifications get dumped in one place on top of each other for every community you follow and they can’t be separated. Frustrating. 
7. The app only allows full access to ALL your photos. Is says it gives you option to limit access but that feature does not work. Manipulation.

Our staff has been using this as a communication hub, and it’s been nothing but glitchy. Notifications not being pushed, login loops,Etc. The latest bug: getting stuck on a no communities found page with a link that says “Go to homepage” that can’t be clicked. Because of how it’s set up, we can’t even log out to try to let the system reset to get back into our community pages. We have to uninstall and reinstall it in order to get back in, which is a hassle with how the login system is built on top of having to do the extra steps.
