I find that I agree with myself ( see comment below). Make the startup music optional so I never have to hear it again and I can give it another star. I enjoy this low key game and win the artifacts mode often enough to keep playing. Usually the pattern will permit the player to remove the game pieces to score. There are few chance set ups that prevent wins. So, it feels like a fair game. The colors are bright and make interesting patterns. My only complaint is the obnoxious music. The torn border around the shrunken screen is distracting. I hope this reverts back to using the full screen. Needs urgent update❕ latching/memory of score is necessary, when something e. g. a call disturb the gaming, else you have to start at level 1 and the points are in Nirvana and Pause doesn't work, only when break because of screen saver but not when you use another app. A change give the last 🌟❕ Update: 3 Sterne Abzug weil kein Update des Spiels innerhalb eines halben Jahres! No update = less stars! ### 3/5 — Good but not great! *2013-06-27, version 1.4.1* This game is engaging and quite enjoyable. Gold Strike is challenging until the 7th or 8th level, when the game moves faster than it will accept your responses. The player cannot win. Strategy is fair in terms of the player being able to keep up but does not exactly play according to its own rules. The game will sometimes spit out a level without the player touching a gold bar. Otherwise, it is quite well done. ### 3/5 — Gold Strike *2011-08-03, version 1.2* Tolles Spiel ### 3/5 — Close... but no Gold *2010-04-20, version 0* Gold Strike is a pretty entertaining game that could be made better with a few changes (which could surely be implemented in the near future) and a price drop. On first trial, performance was terrible, and it was overall very quirky. However, within days, a new update was released that greatly improved performance. That bodes pretty well for development. It's a bit finicky trying to select blocks that are in the bottom row due to the jagged ground covering part of the blocks. The different game modes aren't terribly diverse, but I must say I found myself playing this game a lot more than I thought. A big drawback is the lack of save option. I'm not going to lie... my bathroom trips don't always last the duration of an entire game. I'd like to be able to pick-up where I left off :) Overall, not a bad game. ### 3/5 — Fun bit has one glitch *2010-01-23, version 0* This is a fun game. Only issue is that it occassionally freezes for about five seconds during play. I am sure this will be fixed in an update down the road.
