### 2/5 — Backward change

*2026-05-27, version 2.0.4*

Was much better a year ago

### 2/5 — ‘Approved rule 25.2’ No longer present on app

*2026-05-19*

Why is it you can add advertising to the app but you can’t add one line to the disabled golfers info. This is rubbish and discriminatory. FIX IT. Disabled golfers have to fight for their rights every time they play because you have removed that approval notification.

### 4/5 — Last 20

*2026-04-17*

I like the app but I wanted something in it to easily generate a PDF of my handicap and my last 20 rounds, which I needed to enter an overseas event. Can this be added to the app, or is it already there?

### 3/5 — Ok but it has lost functionality

*2026-01-05*

The quintessential requirement of the app is to easily be able to copy your and your friends GA (Golflink) numbers but that ability has disappeared. You need it to cut and paste into bookings etc. please bring it back.

### 1/5 — Golf Australia App

*2025-12-24, version 2.0.2*

Absolutely terrible. Very slow, difficult to use.

### 1/5 — Can’t check others handicap on different courses

*2025-12-20, version 2.0.2*

Can not check someone’s handicap on different courses. Very limited what you can view compared to old app

### 1/5 — Bad App don’t waste your time

*2025-11-28, version 2.0.2*

Awful App needs to be scrapped and start again, won’t let you sign in and keeps saying incorrect Golf ID/Password

### 1/5 — Downgrade

*2025-11-27, version 2.0.2*

This is the worst application ever. What's truly bad is refusing to fix something even when it's cleary wrong.

### 1/5 — Very Very Poor.

*2025-11-24*

If I could give zero I would. This app is terrible compared to the previous one. It’s clunky to navigate, colours are all wrong, and like other users have said it’s missing loads of functionality the old one had. The Golf Australia website has also changed which is even worse than this app.

### 1/5 — Major downgrade

*2025-11-16, version 2.0.2*

The old app was great and easy to use and displayed all the information you wanted to see

The new app is horrible to use and look at major downgrade I’m not sure why it was changed

### 1/5 — A backward step

*2025-11-11*

The previous version was far from perfect but a lot more functional than this 'upgrade'. I used to use the groups function to track Pennant teams golflink and hcp. I could sort a group by hcp and see all the info I needed in one screen. No more. Now there's no sort option and you have to go into a players details to see golfid, which is barely readable. It's only the reviews of the old version keeping this rating higher than 1.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-11-08*

This is bad, the palette and colour tones are too pastel. So for a typical red/green colour blind male, it’s almost impossible to see which round is a flag. It might be obvious but not to me, how can I filter my last 20 rounds, a simple counter or a bold contrasting colour line would help. It used to be simple and easy to go into the app and see what’s happening, now it’s just too hard to navigate and I couldn’t be bothered. It’s just bad, they need to think of the target audience this app should be designed for and what they want.

### 1/5 — Horrible Update

*2025-11-05*

This new app update is absolutely terrible.
Not at all user friendly from a looks perspective. Looking at groups scores is just horrendous. The old version whilst may have looked basic was so much cleaner and easier to read.. Here's hoping they actually revert back to some form of the previous version, as clearly there has been so many reviews regarding this terrible update of the app.

### 1/5 — Rubbish app

*2025-11-02, version 2.0.2*

Total garbage typical Golf Australia useless twits par for the course

### 1/5 — Poor Design Decisions Throughout

*2025-11-01*

Not a good app at all. Basic functionality like viewing the daily handicap of friends is convoluted. It isn't designed to work without location services enabled, which is a joke. Privacy must be a new concept to the designers. Hangs on each new page load trying to get the location even though I explicitly deny it access. Golf club search for daily handicap is completely broken. Can't find my club even though others can because, yep location services. Why bother having a search if you insist on using location? It makes no sense. The less said about the initial onboarding process the better. I could go on, but suffice to say a massive step backwards with no sign of improvement on the horizon.

### 1/5 — Worst to disaster

*2025-10-30, version 2.0.2*

The new app is absolutely rubbish and hopeless to find any useful information. Someone should resign for this change from worst to disastrous
Return the old version

### 1/5 — An embarrassment for Golf Australia

*2025-10-30, version 2.0.2*

I would give it zero stars if that was an option. How could this app possibly made it as an upgrade, it’s anything but! It is full of flaws, from top to bottom, whether it’s visuals or functionality. One question: how can you see if you are capped??
Please reinstall the old one again.

### 1/5 — Not So Good

*2025-10-28*

More than happy to put my name to this review but cannot figure out how to? And that just about sums it up, the KISS approach might be the better option as App Developers think their product needs to sparkle with flashing neons, not so just make it easy to navigate, and look at it from a user perspective, l would like to know how many golfers tested this before it was released to the masses, Not So Good

### 1/5 — Abysmal

*2025-10-24, version 2.0.2*

What a shocker of an update. Horrible look and feel. Probably the worst app on the market.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2026-04-12, version 2.0.3*

I never write a review for an app. But this one is just another level. Get your act together GA

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2026-02-23, version 2.0.2*

Absolute garbage this app. Do better golf Australia

### 1/5 — Not designed for users

*2026-02-11*

Either the app or its data server are very slow; it takes quite a while to load the first page.

If it is possible to view the last 20 (+) rounds, the access has been very well hidden.

I was an IT professional, and this smacks of a rushed job which took into account little or no user input.

### 1/5 — Why did they bother

*2026-02-06, version 2.0.2*

Why…. Why did they change. This app has been full of bugs for months. Can’t easily see you daily handicap. Horrible

### 1/5 — ‘Approved rule 25.2’ No longer present on app

*2026-01-30, version 2.0.2*

I raised this issue in early October 2025, and the issue still exists.

I am writing to formally request urgent correction of my official handicap record to reflect my approved status under Rule 25.2 of the Rules of Golf (Modifications for Players with Disabilities).

I have previously been recognised within the handicapping system as a player entitled to the allowances and modifications provided under Rule 25.2. However, since the transition to the new app/platform, this approval is no longer displayed on my handicap record. Despite earlier requests, this has not yet been rectified.

While this may appear to be a minor administrative issue, the practical and personal impact has been significant.

Each time I play in competitions away from my home club, I am required to explain and justify my disability and playing entitlements to competition officials who cannot see my Rule 25.2 approval recorded in the system. This places me in the distressing position of having to repeatedly disclose personal information and effectively “prove” my eligibility in front of others. It is embarrassing, demeaning, and isolates me from other competitors who are not required to justify their medical or physical circumstances in this way.

Rule 25 exists to ensure that golfers with disabilities can participate equitably and with dignity under the Rules of Golf. When my approved status is not visible in the official handicap system, that purpose is undermined. The burden shifts onto me personally, rather than the system accurately reflecting the approval already granted.

I am not requesting any special treatment beyond what the Rules of Golf already provide. I am simply asking that my official record accurately show my approved Rule 25.2 status so that competition committees and officials can readily verify my entitlements without me having to repeatedly advocate for myself in uncomfortable situations.

This matter needs to be reviewed as a priority.

Please notify me when corrected.

### 1/5 — Hopeless App

*2026-01-14, version 2.0.2*

Installed it on my iPad and it froze first time I opened it. A total garbage app, both the performance and UI design are just awful. Giving it 1 out of 5 is extremely generous.

### 1/5 — Unfathomable

*2026-01-11, version 2.0.2*

This is the worst app I have ever used. Who employs these people? It is so convoluted, e.g. you can’t see your last 20 scores, it only displays last 3! Please fix it & return to previous app, which worked fine for 10+ years.

### 1/5 — Triple Bogey Application

*2026-01-10, version 2.0.2*

Just like the BOM, take a good app and replace it with something pathetic. Please just go back to the old app and put all of us out of our misery.

### 1/5 — Totally useless

*2026-01-05, version 2.0.2*

Why would you spend $$$ changing from a good working system to a really hard to use bad app

### 1/5 — Shocker

*2025-12-27, version 2.0.2*

Very confusing to navigate especially other players handicaps

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

Does everything I want it to and all the features are easy to use. Love the data to help me learn more about my game

### 5/5 — Terrific upgrade

*2025-10-04*

Well done Golf Australia. A huge step forward with the inclusion of major enhancements such as scoring and tee time booking. Also, a vast improvement in the statistical data available, that will help me better understand how my game is progressing.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App!

*2025-10-02*

Love this new app so much! Very practical to use. Does everything you would want and more!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-04-27, version 1.0.6*

Love how you can see your mates handicaps and super easy to use. Great work GA

### 5/5 — Loving this

*2021-04-21, version 1.0.6*

Great app to keep track of your playing partners so they can’t fleece you in skins :).....plus very easy to navigate. For future releases of it could become a scoring app or integrate with MiScore it would be even better.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2021-04-20, version 1.0.6*

What a great app for tracking your own and the handicap of your friends. A great innovation by GA to help you know your handicap wherever you go. The course ratings/slope access was great when I visited a club recently to play a match play round. Happy to have the ads if it is helping to develop our game. Well done GA an innovative way to help golfers and generate revenue for the game. Keep developing it.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2021-04-19, version 1.0.6*

Have been waiting for this release. Golf Australia has come up with the goods here. Easy to navigate , great functionality. No doubt GA will continue to develop this over time.

### 5/5 — So good!

*2021-04-06, version 1.0.3*

Well designed and some really great features that I’ll definitely make use of. Clearly well thought out in terms of navigation, it follows apple design which makes its easy to pickup and immediately use with little learning curve. Nice work GA!

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2021-04-02*

A brilliant app that makes it easy to keep track of my friends (the alerts function even enables me to congratulate or commiserate with them shortly after their round 😉). As the organiser of groups playing multiple courses on golf trips away it’s also invaluable for quickly obtaining everyone’s daily playing handicap (for the chosen tees) and displaying them on one page. Marvellous!
