### 4/5 — Seems fun, but...

*2026-05-29, version 1.75*

Ball physics are more rock-like than ball when it comes to rolling. It's also difficult to gauge how hard to hit the ball. I usually either hit too hard, or not hard enough.

### 3/5 — Why are there now ads?

*2024-12-27, version 1.74*

I’ve been playing this game for about seven months, and I’ve only ever gotten ads when I needed more chances. But when I went on it today (December 27, 2024) I got ads without buying more lives. When did they get ads that they force you to watch? Other than that, it’s a great game, and is very relaxing.

### 3/5 — Fun but inconsistent

*2024-12-01, version 1.74*

I’ve shot from the same power and angle multiple times but the distance it travels varies every time. Still fun and challenging tho.

### 2/5 — ITS A TRAP!!!

*2024-04-27, version 1.74*

You will spend a lot of time working on the first level (no ads during level 1) then they hit you with a lot. Other than it’s ok

### 5/5 — Simple.

*2024-03-29, version 1.74*

Clean. Zen. Fun. Difficult, but not punishing. Physics engine is very predictable and consistent. Wonderful aesthetic.

### 4/5 — Simple, retro, noice 👌

*2024-01-20, version 1.74*

Nice and simple. Offers a bit of challenge, great for a bathroom break, haven’t run into ads at all (but I also got the Welcome Pack - happy to spend $3 to support the Dev - nice app!)

### 5/5 — Challenging game, major focus needed

*2024-01-18, version 1.74*

This game was precisely made for errors and mistakes to be made. With that being said the first few courses were fairly easy. The first course, the general basic entry to the game then eases harder and harder courses and holes upon those course. After completion of the third course you stumble upon so said fourth course. Those course really determines if you quit the game or not, countless times I didn’t think I’d beat it. Sooner or later yesterday night I beat it. You would think world five to be impossible, but honestly it was a bummer, less challenging more of a gimme. Although course four really made me question why I played the game, I did enjoy the challenge and the focus it had. Looking for to future updates if any.

### 5/5 — Fun and Challenging Game + a Tip

*2024-01-13, version 1.74*

The game entices new players with relatively* intuitive gameplay. The first couple worlds are simple enough to play casually whenever/wherever. The third world requires a bit more of your attention. The fourth world is somewhat of a monster. You may beat it your first try by accident, or you may try for years to no avail. The fifth world is a satisfying "gimme" to reward you for climbing through the trenches that are the 4th world.

*The power meter only gives you a rough estimate in the later worlds. I recommend controlling your power by going from one power to the next to find the lower and upper bounds for different amounts of power. Then pick one and find the right angle!

### 5/5 — Da qqqqq

*2023-11-04, version 1.73*

Best game ever

### 3/5 — Would be better if it wasn’t so difficult

*2023-07-16, version 1.72*

Only 2 shots without add ons is way to hard and makes the game almost impossible to play.

### 3/5 — ads

*2023-06-01, version 1.72*

for the first round, they had no ads unless you wanted to watch them to earn more chances. but after you past the first round, ads start showing up even when you didn’t select it.

### 4/5 — A zen atmosphere with a pretty high difficulty

*2023-04-23, version 1.71*

This games gorgeous! The music and art are lovely. The gameplay is addicting as well. I opted to pay 1.99 to get the extra life and extra chances after failing. The first three worlds were relatively easy, but my goodness the 4th world is brutal! After attempting it some 100 times I decided to stop. It’s a shame cause I really enjoyed it, but I had a hard time improving my shots from attempt to attempt.
If I had a note, I think an option to see what your last shot was, both the strength and the position, that way you can judge your shot based on how well you did last hit. Additionally I think a way to permanently increase the amount of balls you have would be nice, maybe add an option to rent for a low amount, or buy for a very expensive price, and increase the price for each ball.
Overall it’s a great game that would like to keep playing, but I can’t seem to crack world 4.

### 5/5 — Love, need more levels and achievements!

*2023-04-23, version 1.71*

I think this is the first time I’ve written a review for an app literally ever since getting my first iPhone in 2011.

Golf odyssey reminds me of the simple genius of early mobile games. It actually engages with you. It’s addictive but not ruining addictive. It’s relaxing. It’s challenging. In a sea of poorly designed games with ads every .2 seconds, golf odyssey stands out. It’s been a very long time since I’ve come across such a high quality game.

I was happy to pay a couple of bucks not to watch ads for an extra ball or a second chance. I think that’s why I made it through all the available worlds in about a week. I feel ambivalent about a permanent extra ball being attached to the purchase. On the one hand, it feels like pay for purchase play. On the other hand, it is a nice little bonus with getting rid of the ads. I think it would be cool to be able to toggle it on and off.

I’m surprised there’s only 5 worlds so far! The game deserves more. In the meantime, I wish there were achievements to give the past worlds replay value. Like personal records of most hole in ones, least balls used, max hole in one streak, number of times world was completed, number of times a certain level was completed, etc. That way, you can take the time to carefully and properly develop future worlds and someone like me who got ahead can replay the old ones to bump up their stats.

Thank you for the fun!

### 3/5 — Fun but expensive.

*2023-04-23, version 1.71*

Fun and relaxing game. Kind of frustrating how predatory the in-app purchases and ad watching is. To have more than two tries on each hole you either have to watch a bunch of ads or spend $2/game to get enough balls to win. I would like it more if there was more freedom to play without shilling over money all the time.

### 5/5 — Fun little game

*2023-03-27, version 1.71*

Fun little golf game

### 5/5 — Golf till your dead

*2023-03-23, version 1.71*

This game is very fun and enjoyable, it is challenging at some points but it just takes practice, and time but it’s worth the time!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cheap money grubbing game

*2026-04-20, version 1.75*

Constantly trying to get you to buy in game currency. Rip off game. No thanks.

### 1/5 — Ad Trap

*2023-04-09, version 1.71*

Boring, nothing but a way to make people watch ads, not a way to keep people engaged

### 1/5 — Bugged

*2023-04-04, version 1.71*

There are clearly bugs

### 1/5 — Shady

*2023-03-25, version 1.71*

Literally the game after I gave them a good review they start giving you adds between games where as before they did not screw whatever pos came up with that at your company and screw this game

### 1/5 — ADS

*2023-03-13, version 1.71*

Fun concept but couldn’t get past one round without having to watch like 5 long ads. Uninstalled immediately.

### 1/5 — Too many ads

*2023-01-29, version 1.71*

I installed the game and uninstalled in less than 5 minutes. First off, you start the game off with just two balls. That's two balls per hole. If you can't make the hole in two balls, you have the option to watch an ad for a third ball or watch an ad for a second chance.
Like really? OK you give us options to spend coins on more balls so we don't have to keep watching ads but sheeesh man come on, this is disgusting. Almost all of the reviews I read here failed to mention the ads or lack of balls so I'm not sure if they're dropping cash right off the bat or if they're perfect players.
Rubbish game.

### 1/5 — Hard

*2023-01-23, version 1.71*

It not ggood hard to shoot.

### 1/5 — Very annoying game

*2022-12-14, version 1.71*

They only give you two try’s to make it in the hole and if you don’t, you have to restart the entire set. If you want an extra try you have to watch an ad. Very annoying game if you aren’t willing to watch ads every 5 seconds to advance. Should just sell the game ad free.

### 1/5 — Needs Tutorial

*2022-08-19, version 1.7*

I feel like the game honestly needs some form of tutorial no matter what. Also the physics are bad honestly. The ball does not roll once it hits the ground. The whole aiming system needs some form of chance since aiming is insanely hard to get all levels right in 2 tries. How do you even get coins? Overall it could be better but there are many flaws and it is confusing to get started

### 1/5 — Meh

*2022-05-11, version 1.7*

Really just not a fan of inverted controls.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2026-05-06, version 1.75*

Fun and challenging

### 5/5 — Classic simple game

*2026-02-06, version 1.75*

It brings a peace to my mind. Enjoyable but simple. The challenge of starting over is something fresh. I have to say though, putting hole 20 where it is sneaky lol

### 5/5 — Never been rage-baited so hard by a game like this

*2026-01-23, version 1.75*

It’s a fun and satisfying game-when you’re good at it, but when you’re just starting off it’s genuinely the most frustrating piece of gameplay ever

### 5/5 — Relaxing and easy to pick up

*2025-12-22, version 1.75*

As the title reads the game is very relaxing and I’ve been finding myself reaching for my phone to play this in short bursts whenever I have time

### 5/5 — Gg

*2025-12-03, version 1.75*

Chill. Nice

### 5/5 — Well advertised

*2025-04-26, version 1.74*

The slogan “relaxing, but challenging” could not be more true. It’s a relaxing game with pretty animation and simple gameplay. Yet, it’s challenging enough to need to take your time and approach your shot by scanning your surrounding. Overall, fun game!

### 5/5 — W game

*2025-02-26, version 1.74*

W game

### 5/5 — Challenging with great visuals

*2024-10-31, version 1.74*

Great game, love the retro feel it’s very calming, would like to see maybe a power up system? Moving background graphics? Very happy with the app

### 5/5 — Devastating to my mental health

*2024-07-13, version 1.74*

This game is super fun and calming but so addictively hard.
