Very disappointed. ### 1/5 — Useless *2020-08-30* Like others that have wasted time downloading this app, I couldn’t even sign in. When an author can’t even get the sign in process right it’s time to delete. My guess? I never got the confirmation email. If they require confirmation before sign in, but aren’t sending out the confirmation emails, there you go. ### 1/5 — It ain’t free *2020-07-24* U spend time setting up an account ... u log in and input data. Stay well clear. ### 1/5 — About the app *2024-07-19* The app is great for stats but once it comes time to cancel your subscription they do not reply to your emails and continue to charge you. Now they have cancelled my account but have still charged me the past 3 months even after countless unanswered emails! I reached out and told the guy, he eventually responded and said my phone display settings must be wrong and to reset them, I’ve never changed my display settings ever, so I can’t get past the first page. Golfstat coach allows me to gain a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of my game through the, and where my best opportunities for improving can be found. Will update the review again once I test it some more ### 4/5 — Best app of its kind, minor issues *2020-04-25* After thoroughly researching this type of application, I believe GSC is the best of its kind. Competitors are Anova, GRGS, Golfmetrics and myRoundPro. These apps are meant to cater to golfers looking for a numbers-based approach to improvement. Specifically, to understand where you are losing strokes based on validated benchmarks. These apps are not meant to help you navigate a course during the round through GPS or other features. GSC has an excellent layout and the app is fast. It is a polished product, unlike some of the competitors (Anova is especially glitchy and slow). The price point is intermediate and I think acceptable for the service provided. It keeps track of all the stats you’d want and more, and breaks them down by different areas of the game, as well as by club used. It keeps track of driving distance and accuracy by club, which is great when reflecting on which club to use off the tee. The only minor flaw, which they could easily fix, is that you have to input the Par and distance from the tee for each hole. Other apps will remember this for each course/ set of tees. I’d estimate this adds a minute or two when logging your stats after a round. Not a deal breaker by any means but easily fixable. In summary, this is a great app for tracking in depth golf stats, and the best product of its kind. ### 3/5 — Golf side good backend user side terrible *2023-03-24* This is probably one of the best apps you can use to track all your stats. Would recommend for anyone who wants to do Strokes Gained without doing the hassle of calculating yourself. That being said the user side is horrible. You can only really change you handicap in your profile. If you want to cancel your subscription you have to email them and hope they respond, as of writing this I have gotten no response in 3 weeks. If you want to change what card you want to get charged the same process will have to take place. ### 2/5 — Glitchy and not comprehensive *2023-04-16* Biggest issue is that the app glitches and quits too often, also issues with logging in. Also, for tracking strokes gained, you can’t input the course rating or slope of the course you’re playing—so it isn’t really giving you an accurate depiction of your strokes gained. For example, I shot 70 on a par 71 and when I compared my stats to a tour pro it said my strokes gained was -0.17. That makes no sense—that would mean a tour pro would average 69.83 on the course I played, which had a course rating and slope of 72.8 and 133. A tour pro would definitely do better than that on average on that course (I would guess in the 66-67 range). This needs to allow for inputs as to the difficulty of the course you played, otherwise all par 71 courses are treated as the same difficulty. ### 2/5 — Decent but expensive. *2019-12-15, version 3* I used the trial version for a few rounds and it does highlight areas to work on.
