You are supposed to be able to use voice commands to start a short recording, then it will loop. However, in Record & Playback mode, it only works sometimes. Often it fails to record, and instead plays back a previous recording. The link to request support is broken. **Developer response:** In the latest version (5.4), hand signals - instead of voice control - can now be used to operate the system.
