You have the clubs. You have the time. What you do not always have is a group. Golf Budz is where social golfers find each other, fill a four-ball, and get on the course more often. Post a game at your home course, join one happening nearby, or find players who genuinely match your standard. FIND GOLFERS AT YOUR LEVEL Browse players near you and see what actually matters before you invite anyone: their handicap, how far away they are, whether they play your level, and how many budz you have in common. No more hoping a round will be a good fit. HOST A GAME IN UNDER A MINUTE Pick your course, set the date, time and format, choose how many spots you want to fill, and post it. Your game appears for golfers nearby who are looking for exactly that. Keep it open to anyone, or keep it private and invite your own group. FILL YOUR SCHEDULE Every game you host, join, or get invited to lands in one calendar. See the month at a glance, track who has accepted, confirm your tee time, and check in when you arrive at the course. READY TO PLAY Free this afternoon? Mark yourself ready to play and see which golfers and budz nearby are free too. It is the fastest way to turn a spare few hours into an actual round. REAL HANDICAPS, SYNCED Link your Golf Australia account and your handicap index keeps itself up to date, with a history chart showing how it has moved. Because handicaps are synced rather than self-reported, "plays your level" means something. WIDGETS ON YOUR HOME AND LOCK SCREEN Put your next tee time, the golfers ready to play near you, your current handicap, and this weekend's golf forecast straight onto your Home Screen or Lock Screen. They refresh in the background, so a glance is usually all you need. CHAT AND BUDDY GROUPS Every game gets its own chat, so the group can sort carts, tee times, and who is bringing the balls. Build buddy groups for the people you play with most and invite them all in one tap. BUY AND SELL GEAR A marketplace for clubs, bags, trolleys, and everything else, with offers and messaging built in. Buy from golfers near you instead of shipping a driver across the country. SHARE THE ROUND Post how you played, react to what your budz are up to, and give kudos to the people you played with. CHARITY AND CORPORATE DAYS Run bigger events with shotgun starts, foursome bookings, and up to 120 players, with group chat and admin controls built in. GOLF BUDZ PRO An optional subscription that removes the monthly limits on hosting games and Ready to Play, lifts the marketplace listing limit, and unlocks recurring rounds and extra filters. Finding players, joining games and filling your schedule stay free. Golf Budz is built for social and club golfers in Australia, New Zealand and the United States who want to play more golf, with better company. Now it counts. Log your sessions from the Play button to keep your weekly streak alive, and show your mates the work you're putting in. Also in the bag: cleaner profiles and game cards, better support for larger text, and your music keeps playing when you open the app. ### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-16 Further bug fixes and improvements. Thank you to everyone for your feedback! ### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-12 Your round, live on the course Hole map. At mapped courses (590+ across Australia and New Zealand) the scorecard opens on a satellite view of the hole you're playing, with live distances to the front, centre and back of the green. Tap anywhere to measure a lay-up. Pro members can log every shot with the club they hit, and see each shot pinned on the map with its distance. Distances on your lock screen. Start scoring and your Live Activity now shows live Pin, Front and Back numbers as you walk, with no need to unlock your phone. Pro members: tapping + on the lock screen also pins where you hit each shot, so your map fills in on its own. Walk onto the next tee with a hole unsaved and the card will nudge you. Location runs only during a round you started, stops the moment you end it, and can be switched off any time in Settings > Live round. Weekly play streak. Play or practise each week to build your streak. Earn freezes for the weeks life gets in the way, unlock badges, see how your handicap has moved since the streak began, and find out what percentage of GolfBudz you're ahead of. Streaks with your budz track the weeks you've played together. Groups. Create a group, share one link, and your regular crew lands in a chat together. Get three mates in and everyone in the group gets four months of Pro. Recurring rounds (Pro). Set your Saturday game once and GolfBudz posts the next one every week, with the same group booked in. Share your schedule. Show budz the days you're free, share a live page with people who don't have the app, or subscribe to your golf in your calendar. Share your round. Send a round card straight to Instagram or Facebook Stories, with a link back to your profile. Also in this update • Add budz and guests to a game you're hosting, and share empty spots with members of your home course • Ambrose: team cards, whose-drive tracking and team standings on the lock screen • End a round early from the scorecard, for you or (as host) for the whole group • Instagram, Facebook and TikTok handles on your profile • Share links for profiles, rounds and marketplace listings, with previews • Clearer wording when planning a round: GolfBudz helps you organise the game, and you confirm the tee time and eligibility with the course • After a round, tell other members whether visitors can play that course • Plenty of fixes and polish Questions or ideas? Email support@golfbudz.app ### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-01 Our biggest update yet. Here is what is new. LIVE SCORING ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN Start a round and it lives on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Log each hole without opening the app, tap P to pick up, and see where everyone in your group stands as they save their scores. Before tee off you get a countdown and see who has arrived at the course. When the last player finishes, the results are waiting. READY TO PLAY ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN Going Ready to Play now shows a live card with your time left, how many golfers are ready near you, and the faces of the closest. Extend by 30 minutes or end it right from the Lock Screen. IMPORT A MISCORE SCORECARD Snap or share your MiScore scorecard and Golf Budz reads your scores, pickups and putts straight into your round. No more typing it all in twice. A NEW SCORECARD Bigger score buttons, a Pickup button, a clear hole header, and tabs for every player in the round. Turn your phone sideways to see the whole group on one card. GET YOUR GROUP IN Start a group for the mates you play with and invite them by text, the share sheet or a link. Get 3 of them to join and you all unlock 4 months of Golf Budz Pro, free. INVITE MATES BY TEXT Invite friends straight from your contacts. When they join, you are buddies automatically, and if you invited them to a game, they are already in it. ADD BUDZ AND GUESTS TO YOUR GAME Booked your mates in already? Add Budz straight into your game, or add a guest who is not on the app so their spot is held. Players can pull out with "Can't make it" if plans change. SHARE YOUR EMPTY SPOTS Short a player? Tap Share empty spots and golfers who call that course home get a heads up. Your open spots also show on your Lock Screen until they are filled. HOME COURSE ALERTS Hear when someone posts a game at your home course. Choose how many alerts you want in Settings, from none to all of them. RECURRING ROUNDS (PRO) Set a game to repeat every week, every fortnight, every month or whatever gap suits you. The next one posts itself, and you can keep the same group booked in every time. SHARE YOUR SCHEDULE Send your golf calendar as a link, or let mates subscribe to it in their own calendar app. Mark days you are unavailable, all day or just part of the day, so nobody asks you to play when you cannot. NEW ZEALAND IS HERE Golf Budz now covers New Zealand, with hundreds of courses and every suburb and town to choose from. GOLF BUDZ PRO Pro now removes ads and unlocks Discover filters for handicap, age, game format and interests. Free accounts can host 3 games and go Ready to Play on 3 days each month, and Pro removes those limits. ALSO IMPROVED Clearer permission prompts that explain why before iOS asks. Chat shows day dividers and jumps to your newest message. A round underway stays on Discover while you play. Faster loading across the app, and many fixes. ### 1.0 — 2026-09-29 No release notes. ## Apps similar to GolfBudz | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [RTZ: Race to Zero Golf](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/rtz-race-to-zero-golf/id6799344427) | — | Free | Sports | | [Junior Champions League](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/junior-champions-league/id6448961755) | — | Free | Sports | | [Mr. Racing](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/mr-racing/id1666848256) | — | Free | Sports | | [Clubhouse - Golf Stats GPS](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/clubhouse-golf-stats-gps/id1499651190) | — | Free | Sports | | [MultiLab](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/multilab/id6748204959) | 3.5 (6) | Free | Sports | | [Claytarget Edition](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/claytarget-edition/id966178274) | 2.2 (59) | Free | Sports | ## Related topics [partner golf](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/partner-golf) · [golf manners](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/golf-manners) · [foreplay social golf](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/foreplay-social-golf) · [i wanna maker golf](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/i-wanna-maker-golf) · [golfzon global](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/golfzon-global) · [golf fix finder](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/golf-fix-finder) · [golfing exchange](https://appshunter.io/ios/topics/golfing-exchange) --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
