### 4/5 — Daily spin

*2026-08-08*

Just a warning to everyone, the daily spin is the most bs thing ever i literally 30 seconds ago had it slow down to the speed that it stops at, and it kept going until it got to the 40 tickets option. I’ve had it where it has almost stopped on memorabilia or a club multiple times but as soon as it should it’ll go to the tickets or point pass. Honestly one of the biggest scams ever. And the cheapest membership is like $15. I’m switching to 18 birdies, they’ll give me less cortisol spikes than this bs. And you have to play at least 10-15 rounds of golf a week for multiple weeks if you wanna get enough points to order a club.

### 3/5 — Clunky UI/UX - Inconsistency with points

*2026-07-18*

As a mobile app developer I can say without a doubt the UI/UX is clunky. Key actions blend in with normal visuals and are not as prominent as they should be, such as changing courses, the action button blends in with just a 2px border around it, it doesn’t stand out. It’s not as intuitive as it should be, it’s geared way more towards selling memberships than utilizing benefits of shot tracking to which it is lacking, great you can enter a score, but what’s clubs and distances. GPS is free because they want you to buy memberships, people may be more inclined to if the UI was More intuitive and functional.

Daily spins are a joke, the randomization is keyed into points passes and tickets, several videos showing different speeds and how the randomized will stop one before and then jump to a ticket or points passes, or will go consistently without stoping to one or the other. Maybe another tactic to get users to buy memberships and placebo effect of “maybe I have better chances with a membership”.

This app needs a new designer or development team lead that understands user interactions and how to make a clear action item stand out. Even just adding a white background with some opacity to make certain action buttons standout would be a huge improvement. I will say this fails the UI/UX standard guidelines produced by Apple in their development guides.

### 4/5 — Great App & Concept - Spins Come Across Scammy

*2026-07-17*

So I want to start by saying the app and concept are awesome. I’ve had a great time using it and it’s been really cool to compare the data to my Garmin. Overall, I have really enjoyed using it.

My only gripe is the spin system. While I 100% realize it is RNG and likely not predetermined in any major way other than potentially favoring memberships. However, I’ve had quite a few instances where the spinner seems to fast stop on tickets one day, and then sloooooow roll from a diamond membership to tickets today. As in this literally just happened.

It’s not so much that I am upset by the outcome, it’s random. But more the manner with which the spinner itself seemingly favors landing on tickets and clearly a difference in the speed it was spinning when it landed. Maybe this is by design to surprise you when it fast stops or slow stops on a cool item. Either way, still a dope app all around.

### 3/5 — Now constantly crashing

*2026-07-16*

Previously used without issue, now it’s been crashing immediately on opening for the last 3 days.
Mapping works well and mimics the features on many of the other apps.
Also worth noting for UK users, postage costs on the items are extremely high (£20+ regularly) which somewhat ruins it

### 3/5 — It’s good I guess

*2026-07-15*

Not a bad app to use, it does what it states I just wish it had better estimates at distance or target points but if you factor in wind slip and club it’s almost spot on. My only true dislike is the daily spin , I have recorded it quite a few times when you hit the spin button it starts off fast get slower and slower and then unless it’s gonna land on a point pass, tickets ,or the very minimum monthly subscription, it will quickly speed up to get to one of those three .. not only have I seen it, My wife uses the app and she’s seen it happen . On top of that I’ve recommended quite a few friends to use the app and they have all noticed the exact same thing.. so don’t worry about the daily spins and just use it for a rangefinder I guess

### 4/5 — Great Golf app (but)

*2026-07-07*

I would say it’s a super awesome app love the concept and still use it for a number of things the only complaints I would have is the spins don’t win anything but tickets and passes that I can’t use! Also the way you earn the points is too inconsistent! You should be able to trade in points passes for actual points!

### 3/5 — Not accurate for some courses and rigged

*2026-06-28*

This app is ok, but very mediocre and deceiving. It’s like most apps nowadays where you have to spend a fortune to “win” things or get the most out of it. Definitely freezes or very slow most of the time. The free spin is rigged to land on the apps “golf cash” or “tickets” unless you pay membership. Which if you do pay a membership, then it will land on the “higher membership” tier that you can only use once. Haven’t seen anyone land on the jackpot or the items to win, like the putters, golf balls or memorabilia. Seems rigged IMO, but I guess it’s ok because you can win things it just takes forever with and without the membership.

### 5/5 — The future of golf!

*2026-06-04*

Not only is it a great free caddy app, it’s like having a rewards card for playing golf. Golf, earn points, redeem for awesome stuff. Tons of giveaways too and many different ways to earn points. The future of golf!

### 4/5 — Has potential

*2026-06-04*

Can be kind of a gimmick. Might be a money grab because even if you pay for the membership you can only earn so many points per month. The daily grind portion of the app is lame for some locations because going to the range on your course doesn’t even count if it isn’t a known location. They are very behind on that. App has a lot of potential to be good. The things you can buy could be better, but I believe that will grow over time hopefully. Haven’t actually purchased anything with points yet so we will see. Everyone is pretty friendly on the app.

### 3/5 — Good and Bad

*2026-05-28*

I’ve been using the free version of this app for about two months now. The spins are typically points or the golf pass. There were a few times I had won a membership trial, but I haven’t done that in weeks. I like the shot tracker and the gps while playing. I typically use hole 19, very comparable. The issue I have is that you earn so few points without a membership. Yet, the memberships cost so much in order to earn more points. This seems similar to going to an arcade and buying tokens to play games for tickets, to win a PS5. At what point could you have just bought the PS5 for the amount to spent on tokens (memberships in this case). It’s a cool concept, but I don’t see why someone would spend hundreds or thousands - top membership is $8000!!!! per year (yikes).

**Developer response:** Hi Pentzy — thanks for the thoughtful review and for using GolfN for the past couple months. We’re glad to hear the shot tracker and GPS have been useful. That core golf utility is a big part of what we’re building.

On the rewards side, it’s worth clarifying that the free version of GolfN already gives users access to earning opportunities, tickets, spins, rewards entries, GPS, shot tracking, and other golf features without requiring a paid membership. Most golf apps either charge for premium tools, show ads, or give users nothing back at all. GolfN is trying to do something different by giving golfers actual reward value for engaging with the game.

Paid memberships are completely optional. They’re designed for golfers who want faster earning rates, more reward access, and a deeper loyalty-style experience — similar to credit card points or airline miles, but built around golf. For some users, that value makes sense. For others, the free version may be the better fit.

We understand the PS5 comparison, but GolfN is not meant to be an arcade where users buy tokens just to chase prizes. It’s a golf app first, with rewards layered on top. If someone is only evaluating it by how quickly they can turn free activity into high-value prizes, they may miss the broader value of what we’re building.

That said, the feedback is fair, and we’ll keep working to make the value of each tier clearer. Appreciate you giving GolfN a shot.

### 5/5 — Solid App That Actually Delivers

*2026-05-28*

Been using GolfN for a couple months now. GPS works fine, keeps score easy, and the AI tips are useful on the course.

What I like most is the rewards. You earn points just by playing rounds and can redeem them for real gear. I got a LAB putter and some Cleveland wedges sent to my door. No issues. It’s legit.
Better than paying for other apps. If you play regularly, it’s worth downloading.

### 3/5 — Shot tracking needs review

*2026-05-25*

Need to add ability to enter number of chip shots and free side bunker shots to be able to track up and downs and sand saves. Also need to be able to track and save shot distances. When going back and reviewing a round should add ability to draw lines to see how far you hit shots. Cool app but 18 birdies still way ahead

### 4/5 — Great concept, still needs some work

*2026-05-21*

I have actually really enjoyed the app and the concept. I think that the on course gps is still
Clunky. The app will also not calculate a handicap for you. I think this is a crucial feature for average golfers who don’t totally pay attention to that. It was nice on 18 birdies to have it calculate a handicap that k can use when I play.

### 4/5 — Was great

*2026-05-02*

Was great but since an iPhone update the app crashes within 2 seconds of opening so now cannot use it. Hopefully the app will make an update to work on UK iPhone

**Developer response:** Thank you for flagging this, and sorry for the trouble. We really appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Please email support@golfn.com with the device you’re using and a quick note that you left this review. We’ll have the team look into it and we’ll add some points to your account as a thank-you for helping us catch the issue.

### 5/5 — The BEST Golf Companion App

*2026-04-30*

I've been using GolfN since release and it's helped my game tremendously. It gives me accurate readings on course and recommends clubs based on my yardages. It has an amazing community and the partnerships keep growing. Being rewarded for playing golf and getting the clubs I've always wanted is really what makes this app stand out against the other golf apps

### 5/5 — Best App in Golf

*2026-04-28*

The GolfN app is far and away the best golf app available today. It’s easy to use and get a round going. Provides valuable information on the course with pinpoint distances, wind conditions, and a satellite image of every hole. Lets you track all your stats. All the while, it’s rewarding you for playing a game we love! It’s a must have, download it now!

### 5/5 — Great golf app!

*2026-04-27*

Hadn’t ever tracked my stats before, but my friend showed me this app as a way to make better decisions while playing and to help me learn about areas to improve my game. Since using the app, I’ve gotten a lot better about making strategic decisions while golfing, and have enough points to get a Lab putter for free!

### 5/5 — Great app, just 1 suggestion

*2026-04-25*

Love the app so far! You guys should add a feature where you can put in past courses you have played without putting in your score. Will show up on the big map when you go to round history. Obviously I wouldn’t expect to earn points from it but it would be cool to have a big map of all the courses you’ve played!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-04-15*

Don’t be fooled. This will cost you money

**Developer response:** This review confuses ‘not everything is given away at the highest reward rate for free’ with ‘the app is not free,’ and those are not the same thing.

GolfN is free to download and free to use. There are no feature gates just to access the app. Users on the free tier can absolutely participate and earn rewards.

Optional memberships are for golfers who want to accelerate their earn rate, similar to many rewards ecosystems that offer both free and premium tiers.

So no, GolfN is not charging people just to use the app. It is free to use, with optional paid tiers for users who want more earning power.

### 1/5 — No way of contacting. Developer on their website. So trying this route.

*2026-03-06*

Tried creating an account but app says my email was already being used. I haven’t ever used this app so I have no idea what’s going on. I tried resetting password with my email but never received any reset link. I’d like to at least figure out why my email is being used in an account I do not have nor have signed up for.

**Developer response:** Hi, sorry for the frustration. If your email appears to already be in use, that generally means an account was previously created with that address, often through Apple sign-in or a prior signup attempt.

Because we protect accounts tied to real-world rewards, password reset links are device-sensitive and need to be opened on the same device where the request was made. Please retry the reset from the iOS app and open the email on that device.

If the issue continues, contact us directly at info@golfn.com.

### 1/5 — Orders

*2026-02-24*

Yes the app itself as far as GPS is great but the paid to play feature is bogus. Have been waiting since November 28 for a redemption of shoes and it is now Feb 24 and still haven’t received. Have attempted to contact but still have yet to get a reply. Got scammed of paying for shipping and still no product.

### 1/5 — False advertising. The app is click bait

*2025-09-15*

The whole thing is a joke. It’s a great idea if you could actually get anything other than a lab golf putter. What if I want to redeem for anything else? Nah you can get a LAB golf putter or you can get some GolfN swag. That’s your choices. The apps a joke. Don’t waste your time or money.

### 2/5 — Daily spins are a joke

*2026-07-27*

Got it for the rewards. Not worth it… daily spins are clearly rigged so you only get the 40 tickets(not the same as points that you redeem). Just had one basically stop right after the tickets and it slowly clicked all the way through every other option. If you want points to redeem you need an expensive membership. Very clear that it’s way more worth it to just put that money away each month and buy whatever you want with it. Tracking is decent. Might as well just get 18 birdies at that point

### 2/5 — Need the membership

*2026-06-10*

They start you out with a free membership which allows you to earn a decent amount of points but it only lasts 1-2 weeks. After that you barely earn any points without paying for a membership. Even when I finally earned enough points to get a free dozen balls I was going to have to pay $15 for shipping.

**Developer response:** Hi Matt. Thanks for trying GolfN and leaving a review. Just to clarify, the reward you earned was a premium dozen golf balls with a retail value of over $50. The $15 charge was for shipping and handling, not for the balls themselves.

Totally fair if paying shipping made the redemption less appealing to you, but we do think earning a $50+ box of golf balls on a free membership is still meaningful value. The free tier is designed as an entry point, while paid memberships unlock faster earning rates and more rewards.

That said, we appreciate the feedback.

### 2/5 — All the pop ups lately

*2026-02-27*

Was really enjoying the all but now, even in the middle of a round, anytime you click something a pop up for one of the sweepstakes pops up. It’s so annoying. Does it have to be every time you click something?

**Developer response:** That’s on me. I was testing a new sweepstakes trigger and didn’t mean for it to hit everyone. It definitely should not interrupt you during a round.

Thanks for the feedback. We fixed it quickly and we’re tightening our testing controls so it doesn’t happen again.

– Jared, CEO of GolfN

### 2/5 — Does not match

*2026-02-07, version 1.15.4*

Scorecard doesn’t match the course layout.

### 2/5 — I like the concept but…

*2026-01-13, version 1.15.1*

Great concept of rewarding just for using the app and playing golf but I’m not sure where the course information comes from? As I’ve noticed a good amount of holes state wrong info: correct par, tee boxes position, and lengths. Would also be very handy to work on iWatch like every other golf app.

Basically have to have 2 apps going as I only keep score on this to get points

### 2/5 — Not phone friendly

*2025-10-02*

First off when I signed up originally, I was trying to enter my clubs and distances in the keyboard to access the next page. Thought I would try again. And every time I tried it would tell me my session had expired. This app has way too many glitches and problems

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2026-08-23*

Great App! I wish it was compatible with Apple Watch to get distances and score instead of having of having to open the app everytime on my phone. I have seen reviews saying it can be done but I haven’t found a way to get it to work!
Aside from that this app is fantastic! Sure it takes a while to gain points, but none of the other apps do that and if I’m playing golf anyways, why not add another perk to the game.

### 5/5 — Great app for golf activity

*2026-08-16*

Real useful app. I recommended a couple locations and fairly quick they appeared on the map. A lot of cool features. Free spin always manages to find that last bit of momentum to land on tickets which is no surprise. Haven’t a
Had much opportunity to earn points but overall decent golf companion app and the only one with some kind of rewards system for using it.

### 5/5 — Great golfing app!!

*2026-08-07*

Love this app. Lots of cool features and the ability to earn rewards which can be exchanged for golf gear!

### 5/5 — Great app!!!!!

*2026-08-07*

Love this app for tracking rounds and also earning tokens along the way. The constant improvements are extremely impressive and the prizes that you can redeem and win on Press your luck are awesome! Can’t wait to see what comes next! Hats off to the team behind GolfN!

### 5/5 — Golf app with rewards

*2026-08-07*

Great golf app that rewards playing the game we all love (and hate). Starting to build enough points now to get something really cool from the pro shop, which for little effort or cost to me is real value for money. Well worth a download!

### 5/5 — Promising app

*2026-08-03*

I’m new to the app, but it seems like a great community so far. It’s similar to earning credit card points for playing rounds of golf.

### 5/5 — Free gold gear for playing golf!

*2026-07-31*

I’ve not spent a penny on this app and just received my 180 dollar Cleveland wedge for just playing golf. I got lucky and got a free month of silver, however I would have gotten my club just would have taken a couple more months. I do have a friend who is doing the monthly silver pass for 50 per month and he has already gotten a lab putter and soon a Cleveland wedge.

### 5/5 — Rewards program

*2026-07-04*

I don’t how legit this app is but I do know that it gives you points for playing golf which would be insane for people like me that get 40 rounds a year. Again I just downloaded this app and don’t know if you actually get rewards but I really hope it’s legit and is not a scam

### 5/5 — Promising app

*2026-07-01*

I’m new to the app, but it seems like a great community so far. It’s similar to earning credit card points for playing rounds of golf.

### 5/5 — Finally a golf app that rewards users

*2026-06-06*

I’ve been using all kinds of caddie apps for a nearly decade. GolfN is the first one that is doing something new that I’ve seen in quite some time.

The GPS in the digital caddie is really good: some of the best mapping out there. They also haven’t feature-gated anything so you don’t have to pay for “plays like” or arc targets or advanced analytics.

But what’s awesome is the whole points system and social features. You legitimately want to play more golf and socialize because the more you do the more points you earn and you can convert them into all kinds of stuff.

The app is in open beta so I’m eager to see more features come out soon like GHIN sync and Apple Watch. But their initial launch has a lot to like.
