Golf is hard enough without a coach who doesn't understand you. GolfSalt is a personal golf coach that learns your game—your swing, your gear, your schedule, and whatever "better golf" means to you—then helps you play more, practice smarter, and make sense of every round. It isn't a score tracker or a social feed. It's a coaching relationship that actually remembers. EVERY GOLFER IS DIFFERENT There's no single fix for any challenge in golf. GolfSalt adapts to how you learn, how often you play, and what your body can do. Whatever it tells you is rooted in your rounds and your history—not generic internet tips. YOUR GOALS, YOUR WAY Maybe you want to break 80. Maybe you want to play pain-free into your 70s, finally beat your buddy, or just enjoy the walk without stress. You decide what success looks like, and your coach builds around it. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Talk to your coach. Ask about your slice, your wedge gaps, or what to work on before Saturday—and get answers that reference your actual rounds, clubs, and goals. • Track rounds, then understand them. Log hole-by-hole stats and get a clear, plain-English read on where strokes went and what to practice next. • Practice with a purpose. Get drills chosen for your weaknesses instead of an aimless range session—and watch them evolve as your game changes. • Prep before you tee off. Build a personalized warm-up with course-specific shots and a simple timing plan. • Keep your bag honest. Track each club's specs so your coach can suggest a setup tweak before it ever suggests spending money. • Bring your data. Log range, short game, putting, and simulator sessions, and import from launch monitors and apps like Rapsodo and Arccos. WE WORK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE GolfSalt is brand-agnostic and takes no equipment commissions, so the advice stays honest. Grip size, lie, and shaft come before new clubs—because new clubs are rarely the answer. HONEST ABOUT WHAT THIS IS This is coaching, not magic, and there are no guarantees. What you get out depends on what you put in—the more you share about your game, the sharper the coaching gets. For many golfers, GolfSalt works best alongside lessons with a local pro, not instead of them. ONE LESSON A MONTH, AVAILABLE EVERY DAY A great lesson ends when the hour does. GolfSalt is there whenever you need it, remembers every round you've ever logged, and keeps coaching between sessions—patient, attentive, and focused entirely on your game. Your coach is ready when you are. — GolfSalt is offered as an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks your personal coach, round analysis, and personalized practice plans. The watch now shows the distance to the centre of the green, with front and back beneath it, and moves from hole to hole on its own as you walk. If you've been carrying a separate GPS device on the other wrist, you can leave it home. Score the hole without reaching for your phone. The watch builds each hole's score from the shots it already detected. Putts get their own button — one tap adds the stroke and the putt together, and Undo works on both. On a good day it's the only thing you touch all round. A rhythm you can actually swing to. The tempo trainer has a new count-in mode: a steady 1-2-3 pulse set to your own backswing, so you start moving on the beat instead of reacting to a tone after it. It's on the watch and on the web under Practice Tools. Practice that counts strikes, not swings. A shot on the watch practice face now means a detected ball strike, so rehearsal swings no longer pad your session. Each shot carries its own tempo, and everything saves as one session when you tap Stop. Tempo you can trust. Pausing at the top was being counted as part of the downswing, which meant slowing down made your ratio look worse — the opposite of the drill. The hold is now measured on its own, so the number moves the way it should. Fixes that reach your scorecard. The adjusted gross score you post to GHIN was wrong on nine-hole rounds. Shots could occasionally file against the wrong hole, or against a previous round. Putts near the green weren't being detected at all. All fixed. Apple subscribers get the free month too. Subscribing through the App Store now includes the same free month you'd get anywhere else. Also in this update: the watch tells you why a yardage isn't available instead of showing you nothing, it recovers from a dropped connection mid-round rather than going quiet for eighteen holes, tempo tones now sound on every rep, and we fixed an error on the swing tempo page. ### 1.1 — 2026-07-15 Swing analysis, without the practice session. Record or upload a swing from the Improve tab and get a full breakdown on its own — no need to log a round first. Impact photos now include an estimate of where you struck the clubface (when included). Practice plans you can talk to. Your plan is now a conversation. Ask why a drill is there, tell your coach what isn't working, and the plan updates. Every drill links to a real, verified video — no more dead ends. Grip and glove fitting from your phone. Scan your hand with the camera to capture the measurements your coach needs to check your grip size — before anyone suggests you buy anything. Better hole maps. Reworked map controls: one finger to aim, two to move the camera. Smoother and easier to read while you're standing over the shot. Your data stays yours. Your coach now asks before it changes anything in your profile or your rounds. You can also delete a conversation whenever you like. Plus a fix for a crash some of you hit when deleting an account, and a handful of smaller repairs. ### 1.0 — 2026-07-12 No release notes. ## Apps similar to GolfSaltAI | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Norsk Golf Club and Bowling](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/norsk-golf-club-and-bowling/id6738116928) | — | Free | Sports | | [Techniq AI](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/techniq-ai/id6771010293) | 5.0 (2) | Free | Sports | | [Rolling Meadows Golf Course](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/rolling-meadows-golf-course/id1505421901) | 1.0 (1) | Free | Sports | | [Gripscript](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/gripscript/id6756616291) | 3.6 (8) | Free | Sports | | [AimPoint Golf](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/aimpoint-golf/id6752249576) | 4.5 (12) | Free | Sports | | [GOLFJOY PRO](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/golfjoy-pro/id6743384464) | 5.0 (5) | Free | Sports | --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
