It's all my favorite aspects of play with none of the detractors. There's a big creepy house to explore, no worries that anything is going to attack or startle you, the calming/meditative sounds of a rainstorm, and an intriguing story that unfolds along the way. Off to look for more from these developers! ### 5/5 — Amazing *2022-09-10* Another great story game from the developers! Totally recommend. The story is easy to follow and although the map can be confusing at times (to help orient yourself) it came in very handy. You can also enable commentary mode that leaves notes all over the place if you want to know more about the game. This is my opinion. Maybe you’ll have a different one, but you’ll never know unless you try. So I recommend trying it for yourself. I think you’ll like it. I played other games produced by Annapurna Interactive as well called “what remains of Edith Finch” and “the unfinished swan” I recommend them as well. I loved how everything was kept time appropriate- a total nostalgia trip. The writing is beautiful and obviously comes from professionals. This is not a game for quick thrill-seekers. It’s a thinker. This is the perfect game for people who want to chill out, be mildly creeped out and snoop around/deep dive into other peoples’ business. A bit of a story but 99% aimlessly picking up and opening literally everything in the house in the hope something happens for 20 minutes…then it ends. I used to play this game over and over when I was much much younger, and it literally changed my brain chemistry. You have to find the story yourself, which is much different than a lot of other games out there.
