Sign Up? Just for a note app: *2020-08-19* You gotta be kidding! A note app should simply open when launched. Open up and start writing notes. You need to point out how this "sign up to use" app differentiates itself from such wll-established apps as OneNote, which is free. ### 4/5 — Looks cool. Can’t try the full experience. *2020-03-12* I look forward to trying it once there’s a trial of the full experience. Unuseable ### 2/5 — Promising idea *2020-01-20* I agree with all the reviews about the account and limited ability to try it. I’m in looking for Note app that allows me to set a reminder. I’m not going to pay $3 without being able to try it first especially without the ability to use Apple Id to sign in. I hope this developer gets his act together as this is a good idea but as of now one that I s poorly executed. I hope that I make I hope that in the near future I can change this review into a positive one ### 1/5 — Needs Sign-in with Apple *2020-01-17* This app is promising. It addresses my core use case: notes with integrated tasks. However, you are required to create an account to use or even try the app. The problem is that the account signup options are limited to Google or Goob. Seriously? This is an iOS app — so why is Sign In with Apple not an option while Google (a downright evil company) or Goob (an unknown quantity) is?? These limited authentication options mean that I will never get the chance to experience Goob — unless Sign In with Apple is added. I simply refuse to compromise my online security or sovereignty by trusting them to either a known identity broker (Google) or an unproven entity (Goob). Net-net: This app will remain unused until Sign In with Apple is added as an authentication option. ### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Even Open *2019-12-31* Tried to use the app, but it crashes upon being launched. Since the app doesn’t work, it gets one star. ### 1/5 — No use to me *2018-10-13, version 3.0.2* I thought this was a good alternative to Apple Notes, not even close. The biggest complaint is that any image attached is buried in attachments and fails to show as part of the note. Not impressed, deleted. ### 1/5 — Worst onboarding experience *2018-09-12* Need to create an account to get in. We hope you'll come back for a trial! ### 1/5 — Pretty much worthless *2018-09-12* Downloaded the “free” version to see if it was worth purchasing. First thing it tells me to do is create folders. Okay. But in order to create a folder, you need the purchased version. Purchased version is also needed to create tasks. In fact, the purchased version is needed to do anything other than basic notes. Apple already has an app for notes - so why do I need Gooba? **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback.
