### 3/5 — Good Housekeeping

*2025-08-22, version 6.22*

Much prefer the printed copy

### 4/5 — Not happy

*2025-05-05*

After paying for a special offer to access Good Housekeeping magazine I am frustrated how difficult to view the magazines I paid for . Very frustrating for a older reader

### 3/5 — Not the best

*2025-02-27*

The extra bits are good, eg the puzzles and recipes. But a new edition has just been released today and both Readly and Kindle have the latest but the actual GH app seems to still only show last month’s copy. So what exactly are we paying for?

### 2/5 — Good Housekeeping Digital

*2023-09-28*

I am disappointed in the digital Good Housekeeping. The layout is boring ie one page can be miles long. It also takes ages to download, downloading each page as you read it instead of downloading the whole magazine at the same time. Much preferred the Kindle Edition which unfortunately has now been discontinued. Definitely more work is needed on the app to make it a more pleasurable experience to read.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2020-10-24*

Love the magazine but pages freeze and I preferred to swipe across rather than scroll down to read it

### 3/5 — Please fix

*2020-10-03*

I love Good Housekeeping but I have to keep deleting and reinstalling the app. It keeps on ‘forgetting’ that I have subscribed and wants me to purchase the next issue rather than just letting me download it. Otherwise the app is good.

### 1/5 — Where’s my mag?

*2019-08-15, version 6.5*

Last two issues nowhere to be found despite my subscription being up to date. Tried every which way to restore it. Can’t get in via iTunes, Hearst magazine or apple apps. Grrr

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2019-08-14, version 6.5*

Suddenly stopped downloading. Paid for 6 months but can’t get the latest issue. Very slow responses to request for help. Why can’t they get the App right. Can download a daily newspaper without any problems!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2019-07-06, version 6.5*

A terrible app. Does not allow me to log into my subscription. Contacting customer support via email does not result in any responses or feedback. And not optimised for iPad Pro.

### 1/5 — Good Housekeeping

*2018-10-06, version 6.5*

I keep having difficulties with accessing issues.

### 1/5 — High time for a redesign

*2018-09-28, version 6.5*

This has to be one of the worst media apps I have come across - it never automatically downloads and now my subscription has expired it is fiendishly difficult to work out how to renew. GH you are losing business!!

### 1/5 — Same problems as others: have subscription, cannot download issues

*2017-10-26*

As with other, much earlier reviewers, I have a 6 month subscription from the October 2017 issue, but I cannot see any issues I can download as a part of this. Instead I’m given the opportunity to buy them all over again. Don’t waste your money on the digital version, stick to paper. For something as significant as this to have go on for as long as the other reviews suggest, I would suggest no one is looking at these reviews or is interested in sorting it out.

### 1/5 — No Images when Off-line!

*2023-11-04*

Since April 2023 my digital subscription has been useless. There are no images when I try to read the downloaded copy when I am offline. I have a print + digital subscription so that when I’m travelling and have no access to the internet I am able to read the downloaded version using my digital subscription. It worked perfectly until I was on holiday in March when I discovered there were no pictures in my downloaded copy! I reported this to Hearst at the time and had monthly emails TO them requesting updates and providing screenshots to illustrate the problem I was having. A few weeks ago they told me they had no timeline to fix the issue. So I’m left in limbo with a useless digital subscription that I have paid good money for. In contrast my other magazine delivers its digital copies reliably!

### 1/5 — Inaccessible! Shame!

*2022-11-29*

As a blind person, I use VoiceOver on my iPhone to access content.

I can do almost anything that sighted people can do.

I can operate my central heating, I can access all my bank accounts, I can listen to any music I want, I can read books, and yet I can’t get past the first hurdle to read Good Housekeeping.

I go into the accounts page and it is completely inaccessible to screen readers.

I can’t input my details and I’m stuck. In this day and age for a company like this to be so I’m concerned about accessibility is quite shocking.

Not to say illegal!

### 1/5 — So frustrating!

*2022-09-28*

I have been subscribing for quite some time and the constant problems I have with magazines taking forever to download, then only part of the magazine has downloaded, usually the adverts. I have had to delete and reinstall the app multiple times because it’s requesting payment when I have already subscribed for multiple issues of the magazine. I’m so fed up with it, I’m not going to subscribe again. Such a shame. Sort this app out please!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Good housekeeping

*2020-12-09, version 6.7*

Unable to download Jan 2021 edition. Just go round in circles when looking for help. Will not renew subscription which is paid unto July 2021.

### 1/5 — Absolutely impossible to open downloaded editions

*2020-10-05, version 6.7*

The app performs poorly. Now two thirds in I can’t access the full articles by scrolling up

### 1/5 — Good Housekeeping

*2020-09-02*

I’m frustrated beyond words trying to log into ‘updated’ subscription, it won’t even recognise the account number given to me by Hearst magazines nor any of my log in details. I won’t be renewing as it seems I cannot upload the last three months magazines I have paid for, sorry to say it seems a better deal to go back to paper version.

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2020-07-18, version 6.7*

Since updating this app I now can’t log in to the Subscription of this magazine using the login and Customer number that you gave me in your email. Error message says can’t locate subscription!

### 1/5 — Frustrated again

*2019-09-03*

It’s 3rd September & I’ve just seen the October print edition on the supermarket shelf. Nothing in my digital subscription though. Last month’s edition was over 2 weeks late. How long is it going to take this month for it to appear?

Extremely disappointed with the app.

### 1/5 — Who to ask for help

*2019-08-19*

I’ve been a digital subscriber for some time, but am now (like many other reviewers) unable to download the latest edition. Hearst digital magazines developer say that it’s an Apple problem and Apple say that it’s a developer problem but they can cancel my subscription and refund my money, but I will lose all the magazines I’ve already paid for! Who’s fault is it and what else can I do? Really frustrating!

### 1/5 — Latest edition still not available

*2019-08-19*

Paid for a 12 month subscription from March. Although the September edition has been out for some time in print the digital version is still not available. Contacted the developer and Apple. Both deny responsibility so if new versions don’t appear on the app I will have paid for a whole year but just have access to 6 editions. I want my money back!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Up to the minute

*2026-08-15*

Love the little articles on GH right up to date and so relevant. I’m addicted to the house cleaning and decluttering ones .The writers tap in to just what we are interested in right now . Great little reads for quiet moments and in the move.

### 5/5 — Gorgeous GH

*2026-03-19*

So loving GH in every format right now - they are nailing every aspect of my life beauty / home / recipes - thank you GH -

### 5/5 — Love the new look GH

*2026-01-04*

I’ve really started to get into the new look GH. It took me a few months but I think it’s brilliant.

Thanks GH

### 5/5 — Carona can’t keep me from my UK Goodhousekeeping

*2020-05-11*

For the last 20 years, my husband and I lived between London, Luxembourg and the US. Religiously I always scheduled at least an overnite to London once a month to get my Good Housekeeping and 2 other UK magazines. We recently retired and moved back to the US full time though my husband still went back for business 4 times a year. The only thing I ever asked him to bring me back were my UK magazines. Now that we are grounded and can’t fly for awhile, I broke down and subscribed to the online version. I really didn’t think I would be happy with it since I am old fashioned but I must admit, I look forward to receiving it every month. Actually it’s the highlight of my month during these strange locked down times. There are no magazines in the US that compare. This magazine has assorted content and is one of the few magazines not geared to 30, 40 or 50 year olds but can also be enjoyed by us 60 pluses.
Thank you for this and please don’t stop!

### 5/5 — Going online with GH

*2020-03-17*

After years of reading Good Housekeeping magazine I decided to try online version. Any doubts I had have long gone, it easy to navigate very user friendly. Would highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Problems with online issues

*2019-08-22*

Wondering why September’s issue and the Autumn good food magazine only came online on 22.8?

### 5/5 — New issue is not downloading

*2019-08-17*

My app has suddenly stopped showing me the latest issue. Have tried contacting customer service and have not had any help with this. Just auto renewed my 3 month subscription and now not receiving latest issue.

### 5/5 — Laurence from Sussex

*2018-11-06, version 6.5*

Love to download the new one and read it on my ipad

### 5/5 — Good digital version

*2017-07-29*

I very much like the ability to save one's favourite pages, however it would be useful if if the contents were displayed by a vertical column and number of page. The Australian Women's Weekly has this facility.

### 5/5 — Love GH!

*2017-07-12*

Have bought GH since the 80's! Still love reading it, and so convenient now its digital, especially as I am in New Zealand!
