GoodKid gives every child a safe, focused screen — and gives parents full control over what is on it. Each child gets their own profile and their own sign-in. Parents decide what that child can watch: categories, age range and language are set for every child separately, and the child sees only that. No unrelated recommendations, no way out into the wider web. A closed section stays on your child's screen with a lock, so they can see it is there and ask you about it. • You choose how long video opens for after your child pays with stars — anywhere from 1 to 48 hours. • Tap a category in the learning report to see the last tasks: what your child solved, how many tries it took, and what they skipped. • Answers now have a sound: a chime when the sum is right, a quiet low note when it is not. • The video feed gives more room to videos as you scroll, and stars update right after a lesson. ### 2.1.1 — 2026-09-03 Chores that earn stars Set chores for each child — "tidy your room, 10 stars". Your child marks a chore done, you confirm it, and the stars are added to their balance. Chores you repeat can be saved as templates and reused in a tap. Video lock You can now lock the video section for a child and set what it costs to unlock. Your child spends stars they earned to open it for a day. The price and the lock are set per child, so each one has their own. Learning is never locked, whatever the balance. Children now have their own tab Each child has a page with their stars, their progress and their settings in one place, instead of being buried inside Profile. Maths, rearranged The maths screen is now a grid, so every category is visible at once and sorted by what fits your child's age. Plus smaller fixes to navigation and layout. ### 2.1 — 2026-08-31 Learning is here — and it speaks. Your child can now learn, not only watch. Every card reads its question aloud, so a child who cannot read yet plays on their own: they listen, look at the picture, and choose the answer. • A new Learn tab with picture cards and spoken questions • Maths: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with fresh examples every time • Stars for finishing a session, and avatars to unlock with them • A report for parents: what your child worked on and how they answered • Set the number ranges for maths yourself, separately for each child ### 2.0 — 2026-08-26 Parents and kids now have their own way in. • Create a profile for each child — their own sign-in, name and avatar • Choose what each child can watch: categories, age and language, set separately for every profile • See what your child actually watched, day by day • A parental gate keeps profiles and settings out of small hands • Kids get their own home screen and search, with nothing else to wander into • Russian and Armenian across the app, and a cleaner look throughout ### 1.27 — 2026-08-18 A completely refreshed GoodKid. • New design throughout — softer colours, rounded cards and a floating menu that's easier for small hands. • Dark mode — choose Light, Dark, or let the app follow your device. • App colour — pick a favourite accent and buttons, tabs and highlights follow it everywhere. • Learning cards redesigned — clearer pictures, your progress at a glance and a bigger Listen button. • New Support page with answers to the questions parents ask most, and a new About page. • Search, filters and the player were rebuilt to be calmer and easier to read. • A new app icon.
