## What is Good Lifer?

Good Lifer is a private diary that feels like a beautiful notebook. One page for each day, a calendar to look back, and nothing that leaves your device unless you choose.

WRITE EVERY DAY
• A clean page for each day, with calm, readable type
• Mood in a tap, shown as emoji across your calendar
• Tags with suggestions from the ones you already use
• Place: one tap fills in your neighborhood and city, and only the name is saved
• Version history, so an earlier draft of a day is never lost

LOOK BACK
• Month calendar that shows which days you wrote and how they felt
• Search across every entry, tag and place

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode
• No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics
• Your diary is plain Markdown files in a folder you own, so you can read them with any app, today or in twenty years

ON IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC
• A native app on each device, with keyboard shortcuts on Mac

GOOD LIFER PRO — ONE PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION
• Sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac through your own iCloud Drive
• Photos and cover photos for any day
• Future Pro features included at no extra cost
• One purchase works on all your devices, with Family Sharing

Writing, calendar, lock and search stay free forever.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-26

New iPhone design: a quick check-in for today, moments with time and place, a timeline of your days and a Look back tab. Swipe between days, long-press to copy or share, an evening reminder and Home Screen widgets.

Made for iPhone Duo: folded, it works like your iPhone. Unfold it for the calendar and your page side by side.

Plus fixes.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-19

NEW: MADE FOR IPHONE DUO
Good Lifer is ready for iPhone Duo from day one. Your diary now opens like a real book.
• Unfold to see your month calendar right beside today's page
• Fold it closed to jot down a line on the go
• Half-fold it and keep writing, with everything still in view
• Built for both screens, so every word fits beautifully

A WHOLE NEW GOOD LIFER
Good Lifer has been rebuilt from the ground up as a private, beautiful daily diary for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
• One page per day with mood, tags and place
• Calendar and search
• Face ID / Touch ID lock
• Now on Mac and iPad
• Good Lifer Pro: iCloud sync and photos, one purchase, no subscription

IMPORTANT FOR USERS OF THE EARLIER VERSION
The old achievements, projects and Tree Hole entries are not carried over to this version, and the old "Export Data" button did not save a file. Before you update, please take screenshots of anything you want to keep.
