I love that there is a storyline and all the quirky characters. But this is an arcade game, I don’t expect to have a ton of unachievable items you can only pay with gems, this needs to be reviewed ASAP. In fact, I don’t expect any gem items in an arcade game. This really lets the game down imo. Profit margins are also soooo low, I’m barely able to afford upgrades that would make continuing worthwhile. I might pick this now and again for the cosy graphics but it’s not like some of the other games on the arcade that are worth playing. ### 4/5 — Bug issues but amazing game *2026-08-29, version 5.56.0* I’ve had issues where the game freezes while playing and the only thing it will let me do is pause the game. Very infuriating when you have almost finished a day in the game. First thing worth checking is that your game is on the latest version (5.55.0), since order and ingredient behavior gets adjusted in updates. A customer ordering something you've already run out of does sound off, so the team would like a closer look at that one. If you can send it through the 'Help/Support' button in the game Settings, ideally with a note about which day and ingredient it happened on, that goes straight to them. On the bigger point, running dry mid pizza and then waiting on a harvest is frustrating, and we've passed that along too. Voll daneben ### 1/5 — Terribly Balanced For Apple Arcade *2026-08-16* The game progression clearly wasn’t re-balanced for Apple Arcade that doesn’t contain the ads or micro transactions, which is the only way to progress at a reasonable rate in the main gain. You quickly reach a point where the pizzas are requiring 10+ toppings, but you don’t have nearly enough diamonds to buy the topping buddies, so your pizzas will almost always come out late. Forget having time to do the delivery orders. The devs need to basically add a 0 to the diamonds awarded from all quests and achievements. Once you get a little ways in, you’re essentially limited to 5 diamonds a day. With the buddies costing between 40-60 diamonds each, you’ve got to play for multiple hours a day, every day for weeks until you’ll be caught up to the pace the game expects from you. And that’s all while performing a miserable grind doing nearly everything manually. The sad part is it’s a really enjoyable game. I can only assume this is purposeful so that by the time you’re hooked, the progression falls off a cliff and you’re forced to consider it playing the paid version where they get to make ad revenue off you if you want to continue. This should be against Apple Arcade’s terms. We’re paying Apple monthly for a company to just funnel us in to a more monetized version. Surely Apple is paying them to be on Arcade. They should therefore not be allowed to have an alternate version, or at the very least balance the game to where this is no longer an issue. Really bummed the devs don’t care to fix such a glaring issue. Greed wins in this case I guess. Saves can't move between versions, so Good Pizza, Great Pizza+ starts fresh. The upside is that you don't have to manage anything: you're signed in and your progress saves through Apple's Game Center, so it's there whenever you come back. If it helps, there's a good amount waiting on this side. Chapters 4 and 5 have both been added, so update to the latest version (5.55.0) to play them. And if the save itself ever seems to be misbehaving, let us know through the 'Help/Support' button in the game Settings. Thanks for giving it a try, and we hope a fresh shop grows on you. ### 1/5 — Fun but unfair *2026-08-10* I really love this game. I remember playing the free version years ago and greatly enjoyed it. Chapter 5 storyline was fantastic and really motivated me to play more to finish the storyline. The only problem with this game, and it’s a BIG one, is the unresolved gem situation. On the free version of this game you could watch ads to earn gems and load up so you could buy decorations and helpers. In this version, they did absolutely nothing to rebalance and adjust for Apple Arcade. There are no ads here. Arcade games are paid for monthly and are always easier on the players to buy items and accumulate currency. Thats why we pay and they are part of Apple Arcade. Not here. You earn 5 gems a day MAX for 90 minutes of gameplay. On the free version, i would say i got 25-50 gems each play session. So many things in this game cost over 50-75 gems, it is simply unfair to the players. I’ve been playing obsessively since the Arcade version launched and I have no gems. I’ve used what small amount I’ve accumulated but am still wanting massively for more. Tapblaze knows this and is simply ignoring us. They don’t care. They clearly don’t understand what Apple Arcade is or they do and are too lazy to adjust and rebalance the gems for this version of the game. It’s very frustrating and disappointing. The game has become “search Reddit for a guide” because numerous customer orders are completely wrong to what you have to make. For example one order says you need cheese on half. To succeed you have to -not- put cheese on that half. Inexcusable and gross Tapblaze. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Really good *2026-08-25* I love this game and there’s no adds too! ### 5/5 — Well Put Together *2026-08-24* Everyone else is complaining about how pricey the upgrades are, but I think it adds challenges in a more good way than bad. I think the most useful one a was the oven upgrade, and (no hate please other commenters) I think it should’ve even harder to get than it is now. My favorite part of the game would probably be the story line and plot, though I also enjoy the interesting and amusing way the costumers ask for their orders and what they are. That might be tied in how good it is with all the achievements. I also seriously like the classic two forms of currency (dollars and diamonds). The garden is nice, but it’s not a big highlight, except maybe you could make the plants grow more material than they do currently. The connection with the outer world, though you never technically leave your pizza shop, is another highlight of this review. I especially like the news, but if there would be one or two things I would change about it it would probably be the length of the news and the less frequent occurring of the “Nothings going one right now.” Card. See, I think the once, maybe twice occurring of nothing going on isn’t very improving. I’m not saying you should remove it, because constantly having news could unbalance the cozy simulator vibe. And, usually the news is only two sentences is a bit short. I know I did just say not to mess up the ratio, but I think this is rounding on close to vital. The other connection with outside is looking out of the window, seeing cars, zazoom mopeds, and even occasionally bears going by. There’s not much more to say on this topic. I love that you guys added events, which is fun, but I want something to earn diamonds since they arent super easy to earn unlike dollars. Well, you have to restart the whole day and I don’t like that so I think this is a suggestion that it shouldn’t do that anymore cause I really love this game.
