### 2/5 — Can't login on iPhone

*2014-12-24, version 3.92*

Have correct iOS on phone but can't login on iPhone. Even after removing app, reinstalling, changing login on website and entering details on phone, it won't let me in. Not much use. Otherwise, like the website...

### 4/5 — This App Helps You Get Things Done!

*2013-10-19, version 3.2*

I am currently reading the creator's book, "Bit Literacy," and incorporating this app and other workload-management strategies into my life. I love the way this app works. Its simplicity is its strength.

There are a couple features I'd like to see in an update:
"Expiration Date" for each to-do
Display of to-do's in lock screen

### 3/5 — Login required

*2013-07-27, version 3.2*

Looks like a beautiful app, and folks are super happy with it; but I wish I had known before downloading there's a required sign up and a 10 task limit per day without monthly paid subscription ($3/mo). Unfortunately not ideal for my needs.

### 4/5 — Todo app

*2013-07-11, version 3.2*

Is there a way to delete items on the iPhone app that I'm missing?

### 5/5 — Clear, easy to use todo list!

*2013-07-11, version 3.2*

Good todo has streamlined how I track program prep, meeting notes, and random ideas. Highly recommend it - cuts through the noise. Oh, and very responsive tech support/talkback!

### 5/5 — Best to-do service I've used

*2013-07-11*

… and I've tried a *lot* of ways to track to-do's and to get things done.

I've used the service for a few years now, sometimes more than others, and love it and the app ~ just makes. so. much. sense. The more I use Good ToDo, the better I stay organized, basically.

### 5/5 — Delightful

*2013-07-11, version 3.2*

Hands down the best task management app I have used. Fast, clean, lightweight, exudes thoughtful design.

### 2/5 — Not free for limited

*2013-03-22, version 2.19*

What they don't tell you here is to get unlimited access to this fee program costs you $3.00 per month. If you want free it is only 10 items per day.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2013-03-14, version 2.19*

Great personal to do list. Really like that it's cross platform for iOS devices.

### 5/5 — THE Best Todo App

*2012-10-08, version 2.19*

Good todo is easily the BEST todo app out there. Syncing with my good todo account, this app keeps me 100% productive. A must have.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2012-07-23, version 2.18*

Helps me remember everything!

### 5/5 — Actually helps without becoming another task!

*2012-03-06, version 2.15*

When recent project volume started reaching insanity levels, I searched for recommendations for a to do list app that was almost as easy to use as my handwritten Moleskine pad. I saw Good Todo recommended on LifeHacker. I spent a few minutes with the trial version in my browser and immediately subscribed to the service. It's the best $18/yr I've ever spent! The iPhone app is superb - couldn't be easier or more helpful.

Each day it takes me directly to my list for that day - and I can easily navigate to past or future dates. I can filter by category, and search my to do's.

As a coder, I can receive a lot of requests throughout the day - rapid fire. Good ToDo lets me quickly add a task, give it a category, assign a date - and add notes. I can even forward emails to my Good ToDo list - giving it a day due and category in the subject line.

I didn't want a project management app that wants to become my new life philosophy. I don't have time to spend learning some complex approach to managing my life. I want something that helps me get things done, and makes my life easier without taking over!

This is that app. While you're at it - check out the app creator's Good Experience newsletter (good experience.com). I've been a subscriber for a few years - it's always good for insight, inspiration and ideas for improving customer/user experience. Mark Hurst knows his field. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Nice app in support of an elegantly simple but useful service

*2011-09-02*

It's difficult to assess this app separately from the Good Todo service itself, since they rather go hand-in-hand. Good Todo has proven itself as the only task management approach that's ever truly worked for me. I feel more organized, more productive and more in-control than I have at any point in my professional (or personal) life. Of course, any tool of this sort requires disclipline and commitment, and Good Todo is no exception, and this app is one piece of that puzzle for me; being able to access and manage tasks anywhere, anytime is essential.

The real elegance of Good Todo is in its simplicity. You won't find over-the-top "featureitis" in Good Todo; it's very focused, and encourages you not to overthink and overanalyze. It's about capturing the tasks, and making appropriate decisions about them.

This particular version of the app has a bug related to new tasks, but an update is already in the pipeline. No matter; it's still one of a handful of apps I use multiple times every day. Love it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App does not sync properly

*2023-12-17*

App does not sync consistently. I find myself using the online version on my phone to ensure proper sync.

### 1/5 — Can't sign up via iPhone app

*2015-02-26, version 3.92*

I downloaded the iPhone app first, but there is no option to set up a new account (only to just login). I guess you don't want me to use it.

### 1/5 — Clean interface but a disaster to use

*2014-09-03, version 3.8*

I actually liked the clean interface enough to upgrade to a paid user ... Oops!

I'm not sure as to how or why, but it seems like whenever I'm out of wifi range with my ipad, it starts to happen -- triple, quadruple, or even higher multiples of repeat entries when the ipad is able to re-"sync".

I'll have maybe 30 todo's then suddenly 120 appear and I've got to go through and try deleting those that are repeats without accidentally deleting valid ones. Nightmarish.

Tried contacting support twice, to no avail.

### 1/5 — None

*2014-01-13, version 3.3*

Suddenly requires a password. I don't have one so won't open. Tried to update but crashes. Have loved this app in past but now can't get my info.

### 1/5 — Upgrade crashes every time

*2014-01-05, version 3.3*

This is one of my two top apps, but after using it successfully all day I tried updating to the new version and it will no longer open. Rebooted phone but that didn't help. Normally I would give this app 5 stars when it works.

### 1/5 — Unable to create account

*2013-11-30*

You need to login to the app to use it but can’t see how anyone can if there’s no option to create an account in the first place. Am I missing something??

### 1/5 — Noob

*2012-04-24, version 2.16*

Not so good what does sign in with your todo account mean I mean that just silly if you don't have a todo account👿😡😠

### 1/5 — Not free

*2011-07-07, version 2.07*

Forces you to sign up for a monthly $3 fee. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — Free????

*2011-03-08, version 2.02*

Why is this app in the free category? You have to pay for it after thirty days. Guess we need a Free At First category for this one.

### 1/5 — $3 monthly fee required

*2011-02-25, version 2.0*

This is a bait and switch scam. You should be ashamed!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wonderfully simple

*2024-08-21*

This is truly a productive app. No clutters.

### 5/5 — Goodtodo is great!

*2014-11-22*

I've used Goodtodo for years. It really keeps me productive. Before I started using it, I felt constantly overwhelmed by everything on my plate. Being able to move things to the right day in the future keeps every day manageable and satisfying. Other todo apps just don't seem to get this. Yay, Goodtodo!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your kind words! It's great to hear that Good Todo is helping you stay productive. Hope you continue to enjoy it.

### 5/5 — A Productivity Driver - Not just ToDos

*2014-10-26*

First, the app is free the service is not. Second, the service is grossly underpriced. Third, read "Bit Literacy." If you manage multiple people, tasks, priorities, and deadlines then you need Mark's book. I have used GoodTodo for several years now. I keep expecting someone to copy this system, but it has yet to happen. It is the only system I've found that actually works.

### 5/5 — Will make you more productive. I love this App!

*2013-12-27, version 3.3*

Easy to use wonderful App.
It is misnamed just "good", it is better than just good. I would rate it "excellent todo".
GREAT and simple website as backup.
Get it and your life will be "better".

### 5/5 — intuitive, powerful tool

*2013-08-03*

Having used this for about a year, I'd say it's the most useful productivity app I've found. good todo has a couple of capabilities that make it different from similar apps. The biggest advantage is that it provides a tool for managing your email inbox -- you can forward any email to show up on the gootodo list for any selected future date. I.e. this is useful for important emails that can be postponed, so you can go ahead and clear those out of your inbox without losing track of them. Also, tasks that aren't completed stay on the gootodo list by default. All in all, this is the first todo list I've had where I feel in control of it instead of the other way around.

### 5/5 — Good todo good to have

*2013-07-20*

finally an answer to my to do list problems. one simple, easy to use solution that so intuitive i didn't need any help getting to work. a first for me! love being able to re order my tasks, sync across my platforms. highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Keeps my inbox clean

*2013-07-15, version 3.2*

I'm having good experiences with the app on my iphone5. I've been using the service for years and this app is simple, effective and attractive. It just works.

### 5/5 — Always my go-to To-do manager

*2013-07-11, version 3.2*

I have tried every To-do app for my Mac/iPhone/iPad and keep coming back to Good To-do. Simple and elegant, containing all of the essential features I need, and I love the roll-over feature for to-do's that I didn't complete today.

### 5/5 — This app has calmed me down

*2013-07-11, version 3.2*

Great idea, well executed.

### 5/5 — kelly winkler, vp, editorial services, the YGS group

*2013-07-11, version 3.2*

I'm on top of my game with this APP and awesome program from the Mark Hurst team. Highly recommend for business and personal. Attaching notes is easy. Organizing to do lists for "my future self" keeps this insane pace in check.
