This CAN NOT happen again! You’ve GOT to test the app updates before you roll them out! I’ve used this app for about 12-13 years now, and have always been happy with it up until this mess up. For this, you loose one star! ### 2/5 — App Crashing and not saving envelopes *2026-06-15, version 5.4.20* App keeps crashing when I try to input my debts with the “working to pay off” option and it isn’t saving my envelopes after pressing saved and I’ve just paid for Plus. ### 4/5 — Updates needed *2026-06-07, version 5.4.20* I have multiple accounts that won’t sync with the app for some reason (they sync with my other apps no problem). That makes this a bit tedious but still pretty good. I also wish in the “annual budget” section that it would tell you when you have fully funded that budget for the year instead of only showing how much money you have left for the year. For instance, I don’t want to spend more than $2400 on gifts throughout the year but when I buy birthday gifts in Feb or March it only shows me the money left from what I’ve funded, but not how much more I need to fund. So it looks like I still need to add $2400 instead of the $2000 bc I spent $400. ### 3/5 — No Bar Charts or Pie Charts 😕 *2026-04-19, version 5.4.20* Have loved this app and the charts but since the latest IOS update the charts don’t show up anymore. I checked and there has not been an update to this app since a month ago. Please fix this! ### 4/5 — best budget app! *2026-04-14, version 5.4.20* i’ve used this app for almost two years. it’s the perfect app for me to use for simple budget projection. i use the free version and it has everything i need! it’s easy to navigate and simple to use. i love it. one suggestion— please fix the “due date” feature for “goal” envelopes, so that we can meet a goal for a single envelope more than once. sometimes i save the money for a particular category for a certain date, spend that money, and then want to save money for the same category again without having to delete the envelope history. but when doing this, it won’t tell me the amount to put in per pay period. ### 3/5 — Not family shareable *2026-03-07, version 5.4.19* It would be nice for this app to be family shareable. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement *2026-02-20, version 5.4.18* Needs improvement on a number of features. One example is at on income you have to list twice the amount being deposited. ### 4/5 — Good principles, straightforward app *2026-01-29, version 5.4.17* Good simple app - I find best to set things up on the website, and then this is a useful tool for knowing how much is in your envelopes when out and about and updating for expenses as they occur. ### 3/5 — Good for iPhone not IPad *2025-11-11, version 5.4.12* This app is definitely optimized for the phone, which is nice on the go for making sure you are keeping up to date with where your budget is at, but I prefer being able to sit down with the bigger iPad screen on payday or if I’m needing to do more than minor readjusting of the budget. It only is viewable in Portrait on the iPad, sorta, which doesn’t work for some of the iPad keyboards out there. ### 3/5 — Very basic. Missing more stats and insights *2025-11-05, version 5.4.11* I don’t mind at all putting things in manually. I really think there needs to be better stats and insights - “you are spending more on travel than last year” or “your dog walking expenses have gone up this quarter compared to last 2 quarters”. Something with AI. Or at least if I could manually compare category spending over time - track all dog envelope expenses over time to see how this changes over the last few years. Look at envelope for groceries to see if that’s been slowly rising or falling. It would be great if there’s a button - control for inflation - to see if there is just inflation growth in expenses or actually lifestyle inflation. A very very easy fix which I really want is the ability to look at the pie chart of all expenses over the last 12 months - not only calendar year 2024 vs 2025. But like the last 12 months from today. Definitely not worth the premium subscription cost they are asking for, and I have had nothing but chronic headaches even getting my paid subscription properly recognized in the app itself! But it's not trustable now as we never turn off location sharing. Also, we can build a similar App in very short time with AI.
