### 4/5 — If

*2026-09-24, version 4.0.3*

If this application was on the play store, it would be better

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2026-09-06, version 3.3.6*

I've been using this app for years, and it just keeps getting better and better. Don't subscribe to any reader services. This is all you need. And all your data remains yours, stored in your iCloud.

The price is also a bargain. Just buy it!

### 5/5 — 잘쓰고 있습니다 다만

*2026-08-22*

I want to use summary as a memoof the link!!!! No one or three line. I want to see my whole summary!!!!

### 5/5 — Better than other apps

*2026-08-17, version 3.3.5*

I had Readwise and Pocket (RIP) and out of those two I like this one best. It has a much cleaner set-up, its easy to export and import articles, and I can use it on all my IOS devices or as an extension. Really glad it’s not subscription based as well

### 5/5 — Best Read later app for iOS/Mac

*2026-08-10, version 3.3.5*

Simply the best. Own your links data, sync through iCloud.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-02*

Really snappy and has all the features I need (pt-BR translation would be nice though!)

### 5/5 — Good!

*2026-08-01*

便利です！

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2026-07-27, version 3.3.4*

Developer responded quick ands resolved my issue. Thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Much prefer it to Instapaper

*2026-07-26*

As a long time Instapaper user, it wasn’t long before Goodlinks won me over. I love the recent feature that saves Twitter threads

Update: still using GoodLinks daily and ongoing great improvements

### 5/5 — A must-have app for anyone who reads online

*2026-07-26, version 3.3.4*

GoodLinks is a beautifully designed, lightweight, and powerful read-it-later app. Saving articles is quick, the reading experience is excellent, and the organization features are simple but effective.

I love that it focuses on privacy and ownership instead of forcing subscriptions or unnecessary social features. It feels like having my own personal reading library across all my Apple devices.

A fantastic app and absolutely worth it!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-07-25, version 3.3.4*

This app has it all over Instapaper. It collects so much more information while still cutting out all the stuff like ads and everything and making it into a readable article like format.

### 4/5 — Needed for my organization

*2026-07-17, version 3.3.4*

While I may change my review, so far so good. I think things are getting crazy and I need all the help I can get. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Minimal, fast, simple, the best

*2026-07-13, version 3.3.4*

Been using GoodLinks for about 4 years now and can’t recommend it enough. It’s everything one could need. Love the export and highlighting support when it comes to markdown & other formats.

### 5/5 — Easy read-later app

*2026-07-12, version 3.3.4*

I used Pocket until it was shut down. I found this to be a good replacement. I often scan headlines quickly during the day and save articles to read later, without all the visual “noise.” I like the ability to change font size, make notes and to highlight passages for easy reference. I also like the ease of creating and assigning tags to articles so that you can find them again easily. Really no complaints. Updates bring improvements and further options.

### 3/5 — Could be improved

*2026-07-09, version 3.3.4*

The app does most things well, but its weakest core functionality is definitely parsing. For example, there are issues capturing code blocks and some UI components, which really degrades the reading experience.

### 5/5 — Piece of Art

*2026-07-07, version 3.3.4*

GoodLinks has quickly become an indispensable tool in my daily workflow, perfectly balancing a beautiful, minimalist design with absolutely flawless performance. It manages bookmarks and reading lists with incredible speed and reliability, syncing seamlessly across devices without a single hiccup. The user interface is clean and thoughtful, removing all unnecessary clutter so you can focus entirely on your saved content. It is rare to find an app that feels this lightweight yet remains so robust and stable, making it an absolute joy to use every day.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-07-06, version 3.3.4*

I haven’t found any flaws and it does what it’s supposed to do. I save links and read them later, most in-line. Great for research of any kind. Kudos to the Developers!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Developer charges you for future updates

*2026-09-15, version 4.0.1*

GoodLinks is a simple yet expensive app. You pay and after a year, the developer charges you again for the future updates or you will lose access to features.
You can find lots of free and better alternatives.
Don’t waste your money where they don’t even respect you as a user.

### 1/5 — I want to love this, but seriously … .?

*2026-07-25, version 3.3.4*

Why cannot I see the finder menu items when I open the app? All I see is the default finder and I don’t even see a settings button in the app. What’s going on here?

### 1/5 — Cannot get it to work with Firefox

*2026-06-22, version 3.3.2*

Paid for it, have all Apple devices. Cannot get it to work on laptop. Trying Anybod next! We miss you Pocket!

### 1/5 — Not saving full text

*2026-04-07, version 3.2.2*

I like to read offline with this app, but the full text of several articles is not saving

### 1/5 — Отвратительное отношение

*2026-03-31*

Я специально купил приложение чтобы не платить. Спустя время у меня забирают функции и просят оформить подписку.

Ребята переходите на Anybox. Там разрабы более добропорядочные

**Developer response:** The features you already have are still available and will never be taken away. The subscription is optional. Once you subscribe, you can unsubscribe immediately, and the features unlocked during that period will remain available to you forever. ### 1/5 — No way! I won’t pay you again!

*2026-02-21, version 3.1.1*

I already bought the app and now it's asking me to pay again? Are you out of your mind?

### 1/5 — So buggy

*2026-02-08, version 3.1.1*

Pull down is search??? Instead of refresh? I have to restart the app multiple times to get my articles? And this new version STILL has the bugs that it doesn’t save my articles when i share from safari and it just keeps spinning. I’m going to build my own software, this should do ONE thing and do it well but it keeps breaking with stupid junk to try to get people to pay a subscription. A subscription to read an article later, maybe. If it works.

### 1/5 — One-time purchase that suddenly wasn’t

*2026-01-27*

I bought this app specifically because it was a one-time purchase. No subscription, no recurring fees. That was the deal.

Now the developer has switched to an annual subscription and effectively locked existing users behind a paywall. Same app, same features — but suddenly you have to pay every year.

Changing the business model retroactively is a great way to burn user trust. This feels less like “supporting development” and more like bait-and-switch.

The app itself is good. The decision isn’t. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — Never support greedy devs

*2026-01-20*

I bought this app specifically to have an offline access to blocked sites. But this greedy dev decided that I can’t view my own bookmarks in my own iCloud without his subscription anymore. Don’t buy this app and never support these devs, who add unjustified subscriptions to everything

### 1/5 — What’s going on?

*2026-01-10, version 3.0.5*

This app was my favorite until recently. Any link I attempt to open from the app, regardless of browser selection choice (in-app vs default), the app immediately crashes upon loading the link. All URLs are working and recently added (not broken/can be navigated to on any separate browser app). Please fix this and I will be eternally grateful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Beautifully simple

*2026-10-21*

This is the “read later” app I’ve always wanted. Please please please never turn this into a feature-bloated monster, like all apps seem to become over time. I love it for its simplicity and hope it stays that way.

### 5/5 — insanely great.

*2026-10-15*

Started great - an exemplar of carefully crafted, well considered, thoughtful and unobtrusive software - and just keeps getting better and better. If only all software was this well designed!

### 5/5 — Just what I need and More

*2026-10-15*

I have been using GoodLinks for some time, and it has been the best application for Reading on both my Mac and iPhone. Developer is also really responsive.

The addition of the CLI and MCP server are game changers for me, before I had to build my own MCP to be able to manage my library but now it just works out of the box.

Thank you Ngoc!

**Developer response:** Thank you very much!

### 5/5 — Fast and simple

*2026-10-15*

I like how simple and easy to use the app is. It also looks great.
My only wish is that it was available in Brazilian Portuguese.

### 5/5 — Truly great app

*2026-09-24, version 4.0.2*

This is my go-to app for saving links. Wonderful implementation.

### 5/5 — Better than other apps

*2026-09-19, version 4.0.2*

I had Readwise and Pocket (RIP) and compared to those two I like this one best. It has a much cleaner set-up, its easy to export and import articles, and I can use it on all my IOS devices or as an extension. Really glad it’s not subscription based as well

### 5/5 — a1

### 5/5 — One of the best

*2026-09-14*

I put this app in same class as things3, anybox and DEVONthink. It does what it is suppose to do without the nonsensical frills. It works exactly as it is suppose to be. It’s fast & snappy. Love the monetisation model also.
