I think things are getting crazy and I need all the help I can get. For example, there are issues capturing code blocks and some UI components, which really degrades the reading experience. ### 5/5 — Awesome *2026-07-06, version 3.3.4* I haven’t found any flaws and it does what it’s supposed to do. GoodLinks, Pocket, and Instapaper must have different algorithms for different sites/sources, and none of these captures every site, but overall GoodLinks manages to capture better than most alternatives on most websites. None of these capture Apple News articles well (or at all). (Maybe I need to log in to my Apple ID account via GoodLinks?). The best Apple News capture tool I've encountered is the Notion-built share extension. Would love to see GoodLinks add a built-in text-to-voice reader like in Instapaper or Voice Dream Reader. ### 4/5 — Really good app. *2026-06-24* The app is amazing, with a well-made and polished interface, and it has helped me increase my reading frequency. But one feature I really miss is the option to create folders, whether manually created by me or smart folders based on tags. I mean, they're truly unreadable! With no option to customise that colour. And the strange ‘whole page left swipe’ navigation to return to the overview? Why just links? Why not notes too? Having to export everything and use something else. UPDATE: What have tags to do with my review ?? ### 5/5 — Readwise Killler *2026-06-09, version 3.3.2* Sick of all the subscriptions I went searching for a Read-Later App with a sensible pricing model to ditch Readwise. It meant decoupling to 2-3 Apps. Reeder Classic became the RSS, Readest for ePub/PDF and then Goodlinks for All my articles and it’s been smooth and I don’t miss the pricey and clunky apps in this segment with garbage support. Also Goodlinks has Family-Sharing. My only wishes are Android App & Support for PDF/ePub so anything reading goes in there. ### 2/5 — buggy chrome extions *2026-06-07, version 3.3.3* Very disappointed with the Chrome extension. It repeatedly logs me out and requires me to sign in again for no reason. This breaks the workflow and makes the app far less useful than it should be. For a paid app, I expect much better reliability. Please fix this. ### 5/5 — Brilliant app for digital reading backlogs *2026-06-03* I got this app reference from a subreddit post and I was using Flyleaf on trial at that time (another lovely readlater app). I switched to goodlinks since it had everything that I needed in a readlater app and worked very well across the apple ecosystem. I love the customisation options and the recent changes like AI summarization (which I prefer over some full blown AI implementation). The archiving capabilities are unparalleled, and the fact they leverage iCloud for it makes it completely seamless. Usually, the “fairest” apps aren’t the highest-quality ones. This is an exception. I have to restart the app multiple times to get my articles? And this new version STILL has the bugs that it doesn’t save my articles when i share from safari and it just keeps spinning. I’m going to build my own software, this should do ONE thing and do it well but it keeps breaking with stupid junk to try to get people to pay a subscription. No subscription, no recurring fees. That was the deal. Now the developer has switched to an annual subscription and effectively locked existing users behind a paywall. Same app, same features — but suddenly you have to pay every year. Changing the business model retroactively is a great way to burn user trust. This feels less like “supporting development” and more like bait-and-switch. The app itself is good. The decision isn’t. But this greedy dev decided that I can’t view my own bookmarks in my own iCloud without his subscription anymore. Any link I attempt to open from the app, regardless of browser selection choice (in-app vs default), the app immediately crashes upon loading the link. All URLs are working and recently added (not broken/can be navigated to on any separate browser app). It has a much cleaner set-up, its easy to export and import articles, and I can use it on all my IOS devices or as an extension. I found this to be a good replacement. I often scan headlines quickly during the day and save articles to read later, without all the visual “noise.” I like the ability to change font size, make notes and to highlight passages for easy reference.
