## What is Goodnight Sound Collage?

Goodnight turns sounds you choose into a sound collage made just for that night.

It doesn't simply loop a fixed track. Bring in your favorite music, voices, or ambient sounds, and their fragments blend with soft noise, slowly shifting and drifting. Every time you play, a different texture emerges — no two nights are ever the same.

FEATURES

Made from your own sounds
Collages are built on the spot from audio you bring into your device.

Different every time
How fragments overlap, breathe, and transform changes each night. It is not a repeating loop of fixed audio.

From calm to dissolve
It begins with familiar, settling tones, then slowly dissolves over time.

A bed of pink noise
Soft noise with 1/f fluctuation wraps everything in a calm soundscape, free of sudden changes.

Drift timer
Sound quietly fades toward your set time, ending without disturbing your sleep.

ABOUT SOUND
All processing happens on your device. Sounds you bring in are never sent anywhere.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### バージョン2.1.1, ビルド (21) — 2026-07-07

Stability improvements.
- More stable playback with multiple sources.
- Minor fixes.
Note: load at least 2 sources (INST1 / INST2 / VOICE) to play.

### 2.1.0, ビルド (19) — 2026-07-06

Good Night - a nighttime instrument that turns your own sounds into an endless sound collage.

Instruments, city recordings, voice. From the sources you load, it generates a drone (sustained sound) where fragments
drift with gaps and overlaps. There is no fixed tempo or beat, and it never sounds quite the same twice - yet you
design *how* it happens with the knobs and fix it with a SEED. Hands-off in feel, but reproducible on purpose. That is
  the heart of Good Night.

  * The sound
  - INST1 / INST2: two source decks. INST1 auto-removes drums, leaving a lead+bass drone bed and setting the overall
key. INST2 fragments are auto-tuned toward that key for consonance.
  - VOICE: fragments the voice into murmurs. A "language collapse (LANG)" mode melts words toward neutral vowels.
  - NOISE: a layer of ambient noise that ebbs and flows with the level.

  * Sound design
  - GRANULAR: a light grain layer with pitch shimmer, band selection and breathing.
  - RING MOD: ring modulation that tears the original, with slow long-period modulation so the timbre morphs over time.
  - MOTION: automation that keeps drifting a chosen parameter (plus TRIG to jump now).
  - RESAMPLE: sample your own live output on the fly and throw it back into the material.
  - EFFECTS: dial the rate and depth of reverse / skip / delay / dub / cross-synthesis and more.

  * Ableton Link (tempo sync with other gear)
Send the drone's sounding "effective tempo" to the session. This app becomes the leader, nudging other apps and
hardware on the same Wi-Fi (Ableton Live, sequencers...) into a free, fluctuating tempo - an un-metered drone that
holds the pulse of the ensemble.

  * More
  - LIVE: streaming playback. Knobs apply gradually without ever stopping the sound (no-dropout first), with a countdown
to when each change takes effect.
  - GENERATE: render the full length offline and export to WAV.
  - REC: field-record and add to your sources.
  - Timer (3 / 15 / 60 min) auto-stops.

Designed to favor darkness, space and conceptual depth over conventional pleasantness.

  [Major update]
Sleep tracking has been removed; the app is now focused purely as an instrument for making sound. New: Ableton Link,
granular, ring modulation, automation and live resampling. The UI has been rebuilt around a mixer, level meters and
  knob controls.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-06-13

A major update. Goodnight is now built around a sound collage engine.

Bring in your own audio — favorite music, voices, ambient sounds — and Goodnight weaves them into a collage that's different every night. It begins calm and familiar, then slowly dissolves toward sleep over soft pink noise. A drift timer fades everything out gently so nothing wakes you.

All processing happens on your device.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-05-28

• New SEA visualizer (subscription).
A starry sky over a night sea, with a slow lighthouse beam
sweeping above gentle waves, and words drifting on the water —
some pass through, some sink quietly.
  • Occasional shooting stars cross the sky at random intervals.
  • Toggle individual elements with VOICE / INST / NOISE layers.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-05-24

• New audio pack — GOOD NIGHT II (subscription).
Whispered phrases drift over a deep, delayed voice bed.
  • New SOUND selector in SETTING — switch between the default
Good Night and any installed pack.
  • Packs are downloaded once and play offline thereafter.
