I got a game and purchased 4 spots for me and my friends, just to come to see two league games being played. When I reported the issue I was told to wait 48 hours, as I did they told me I wouldn’t get my money back. Highway robbery at its finest. The teams were once again extremely unbalanced. Most of the strongest players were placed on the same team, making the game frustrating and unfair from the very beginning. This has happened multiple times with this organizer. The match stopped being enjoyable, several players left early, and tensions rose to the point where arguments broke out. I joined expecting a friendly recreational game, but instead left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. GoodRec should ensure that organizers create balanced teams and a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of skill level. I hope this organizer is reviewed, appropriate action is taken, and player feedback is taken seriously. I also believe a refund for this event would be appropriate given the poor experience. ### 1/5 — Bad Organizer Ruined the Entire Game Experience *2026-07-15, version 2.0.6* On July 14, 2026, I attended the 7:50 PM soccer game in Point Loma organized by Matt F., and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had on GoodRec. This isn’t the first time. Every time I join one of his games, he builds extremely unbalanced teams by putting most of the advanced players on one side while the weaker players end up on the other. Instead of a fun, recreational match, the game becomes completely one-sided from the start. Several players left early because of how unfair the game was, including me. Arguments broke out, the atmosphere became very tense, and I was genuinely concerned the situation could turn into a physical fight. No one should feel unsafe or uncomfortable at a recreational sports event. People use GoodRec to have fun, meet others, and enjoy fair games. Organizers should be creating balanced teams and a positive environment—not prioritizing winning over everyone’s experience. I hope GoodRec investigates this organizer, takes appropriate action, improves organizer oversight, and gives more weight to player feedback.
