### 3/5 — Doesn’t account for people who live in food deserts or gas deserts, or buy local and used

*2026-07-08, version 3.3.2*

While taking the test for services it gives a very limited option for most categories which doesn’t allow for people to state thrifting, used cars, or even lack of options in their area. With this in mind it tells you which political party you are financially supporting without considering that there are no other options and this makes it difficult to actually assess your financial contributions to policy since many of the options are big business box chains and not local agencies. I get they can add all businesses but by assessing on what is available in your options you are discounting what people donation their local communities. When your option is other it doesn’t see that as an independent instead it doesn’t count it and rates you based on the options that are the only ones listed that care available. For instance car makes without consideration of them being used or classic, grocers without the option for the local co-op, and so on. This makes people feel less heard and understood.

### 2/5 — Used to be good, now bloated

*2026-06-22, version 3.3.0*

This used to be great, and simple. Now a slow and bloated mess. Routinely shows new notifications with nothing new in the app.

### 2/5 — Confused!

*2026-06-15, version 3.2.1*

Where I once found this app quite useful, since the last update, I find that I can no longer reliably find what I am looking for. For example, I did a search for a sitting congressperson and got nothing - and the name *was* spelled correctly. 🤨

### 3/5 — The free app has been ruined by ads

*2026-05-26, version 3.2.1*

The app provides tons of valuable information. I opened it today for the first time in a long time, and it was lousy with ads. I accidentally opened 2 ads, while trying NOT to click on them.
.
I haven’t tried the premium version.

### 2/5 — Creating an Account

*2026-05-12, version 3.2.1*

I like the app, it does help you see where you’re putting your money towards. I’m just having a hard time creating an account. I don’t get the email to verify my email address. No matter how many times I try. I also tried inputting a different email address, but it tells me to verify the first one before trying to change it. Very frustrating.

### 2/5 — Ads!

*2026-04-30, version 3.2.1*

The ads are intrusive to say the least.

### 2/5 — Ads don’t go away

*2026-04-09, version 3.2.0*

The new stupid ads don’t let you click out of them anymore and your stuck staring at it, making it unusable

### 4/5 — Pretty good app

*2026-03-08, version 3.2.0*

The app had some bugs at first but once informed, they tend to get them fixed sooner

### 3/5 — Could be so much better

*2026-02-13, version 3.1.4*

UPDATE: You’re asking AGAIN for a review…yet you neglect to answer any questions or suggestions I make. So then what is your point of asking for my review?!?

Even though this app is still “newish” as of this Fall or coming Winter, it could be so much better by now. I have made suggestions multiple time that we should be able to see/know WHEN the assessment was done on the companies. Even since the beginning, some of my companies have changed their political stance, but I have NO IDEA when that was. Was the initial info incorrect or did the company really change its stance? I have NO IDEA & this company isn’t being very transparent with their information. I also think you should have the parent company who owns the stores so that we can further determine if the parent company owns others on the list. When you take your personal assessment to determine where your $ goes, they don’t give you the FULL list of companies in the categories. However, after your results are given, you can see the alternatives to the companies you spend your $ with. WHY not give them all to begin with? When we see the alternative, we cannot choose it, even if you didn’t choice any of the companies from their list in the assessment because they didn’t apply. Lastly, I paid for a membership subscription so I wouldn’t see ads. While guess what, I can STILL see ads. I sent an email asking why that is. I have YET to receive a response from over a month ago. Then today, I logged online to use the service & low & behold…ads!!! I even clicked on one by mistake thinking I was being connected to their online chat. But NOOOOO it was an outside chat box asking for all my info & claimed it would connect me with someone from GUU while I fill out another popup box with my credit card info to receive a $5 refund for the no-ad subscription. SAY WHAT?! DO BETTER GOODS UNITE US!!!

### 2/5 — Greedy

*2026-02-09, version 3.1.4*

Goods Unite Us has started charging for information that was free. You can only access where companies stand on issues for $4/month

### 4/5 — Great app

*2026-02-07, version 3.1.4*

This app allows me to shop my values as much as possible. The reason for only 4 stars is the ads vome up with loud music which is annoying. I would like to mute the sound but I don’t see a setting for this.

### 1/5 — Updates👎

*2026-02-03, version 3.1.4*

The app is nowhere as good or useful as it once was. Sadly, a waste of time and energy to attempt to get anywhere. Will be deleting it asap.

### 2/5 — App is either biased or buggy

*2026-02-02, version 3.1.4*

There’s buttons within the app and I reported that Home Depot has issues because there is no button to support or boycott this company. It still has not been fixed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bummer

*2026-07-31, version 3.3.4*

It’s a good idea and well organized but clearly it’s extreme left wing biased so unfortunately it can’t really be trusted. Bummer.

### 1/5 — Democrat Bias

*2026-07-30, version 3.3.4*

Very much has a democrat bias. Love it shows what’s going to what but it just shows everything supported for Trump in a list but nothing for what was supported for other democrats.

### 1/5 — Took my money, never researched companies or replied. Felt scammed.

*2026-06-21, version 3.3.0*

As stated. I reached out several times and was thoroughly ignored about my $39 order to expedite research on two companies. Had hopes it was a miscommunicstiom, seems they just took the money and ran. Unfortunate.

### 1/5 — Used to Really Like This

*2026-03-07, version 3.2.0*

Use to really like this app, now it’s clogged with sketchy ads whenever you open the app. I deleted it.

### 1/5 — Fixed Home Depot boycott button but screwed up mobile phone search - it hides your results

*2026-02-28, version 3.1.5*

Search field - when you start typing in it, obscures keyboard over search field display so you cannot see what you are typing and or the results

Also, now when it DOES NOT find a company/entity, then you cannot suggest new companies to add NOR PAY TO HAVE THEM RESEARCHED

### 1/5 — CBS is considered Blue?

*2026-02-23, version 3.1.5*

I’ve been a subscriber for years, but I’ve got a problem with today’s Good Briefing. You are showing CBS as Democratic. Would you like to correct this error? Otherwise, I’m done with you.

### 1/5 — Fixed Home Depot boycott button but screwed up mobile phone search - it hides your results

*2026-02-21, version 3.1.5*

The programmer or programmers working on this app OBVIOUSLY DO NOT TEST THEIR APP ON A PHONE- now the search hides the results behind your keyboard !

### 1/5 — Who are you becoming?

*2026-02-20, version 3.1.5*

Why are you shilling for David Prager?

### 1/5 — Uses Gen AI

*2026-02-09, version 3.1.4*

Downloaded the app and the first thing I see is generative AI? Also feels like this app feels like it doesn’t give you the full picture- like it’s saying to support Disney and Starbucks?? No thanks

### 1/5 — App is either biased or buggy

*2026-02-06, version 3.1.4*

There’s buttons within the app and I reported that Home Depot has issues because there is no button to support or boycott this company. It still has not been fixed.
I CANCELLED MY SUBSCRIPTION OVER THIS! I advise boycott of this app until this issue is fixed - now its crashing when you go to Home Depot and scroll down

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Quick check for political affiliations

*2026-05-04, version 3.2.1*

A great way to do a quick check when making decisions for shopping for those who would like to influence corporations on the retail level. I really enjoy the little game that helps me to learn companies' choices for political donations. Helps me to make choices that ultimately will play a part in the presently unrealized power of citizens to influence the direction of corporations.

### 5/5 — Incredible Source

*2026-05-01, version 3.2.1*

Goods Unite Us is a such a well developed app, this small team has provided, and continues to add a plethora of organizations to their app FOR FREE. They’re very transparent with sourcing as well. Thank you to the team and everyone needs this app. I am a a better shopper with it, I not only shop consciously, but also, support the causes that I feel are important. If you can’t find the org. you’re looking for, the option to add it is provided but because they get so many requests it isn’t ensured. That is where a small fee comes in, to ensure your requested org. is prioritized/added you have the option to pay, currently it costs $24.99 each. I haven’t needed it yet, but if I do I will utilize it definitely worth it to show some support!

### 5/5 — Amazing app!

*2026-03-13, version 3.2.0*

I was already happy that this app exists, but I am really happy to hear that this is based in madison wisconsin, my hometown! I will absolutely buy premium once I have the budget.

### 5/5 — Vote with my money

*2026-03-13, version 3.2.0*

I use this app to determine where I’m going to shop and what brands I will buy. I vote every day with every dollar.

### 5/5 — It’s easy to be an informed customer!

*2026-03-01, version 3.1.5*

Love that they have data for most big brands and organizations. Also am proud knowing this was created in my home state of WI. It’s apps like these that empower and enable us to make informed decisions that align with our values, without having to google search through thousands of websites.

### 5/5 — Empowering

*2026-02-22, version 3.1.5*

This application was a great idea. I feel more empowered. With this, I have knowledge of where I spend my money cause there is no way I would ever support Trump. Everyone should be using this app.

### 5/5 — Quick guide on where to spend

*2026-01-30, version 3.1.4*

In a world where it matters where we spend our money, goods unite us gives a quick reference guide to what businesses do with the money you spend. In a capitalist society, few things speak as loud as money and where you spend it matters. I wish there were more local businesses, or tips on how to research this on our own in the app, but I understand every small business can’t be included. Great app. Easy to use.

### 5/5 — big fan - but could be better

*2026-01-26, version 3.1.4*

i really like the app but wish it had categories for different types of brands like grocery stores, gas stations, hardware stores, etc.

### 5/5 — Exercise your power

*2026-01-25, version 3.1.4*

Now, more than ever, we need to use our purchasing power to resist the current assault on our democracy by the Trump administration.

### 5/5 — Vote with your money!

*2026-01-19, version 3.1.4*

Vote with your money!
