## What is GoodSAM Responder?

The GoodSAM Responder App is a professional deployment system used by Emergency Services around the world and the National Health Service in the UK.

GoodSAM provides a range of solutions connecting those with specific skill sets to those in need, for example:

- GoodSAM Cardiac: This system is used by ambulance services to alert those trained in resuscitation (e.g. off duty paramedics, nurses, doctors, police and fire staff) to those nearby who are likely to be in cardiac arrest. This system has saved many lives around the world.

- GoodSAM Volunteer Response: GoodSAM is a platform used by the NHS and 3rd sector organisation such as the Royal Voluntary Service and British Red Cross to deploy volunteers to those in need. At the current time this is coordinating the 750,000 NHS Volunteers to help those isolated in the Coronavirus crisis.

- GoodSAM Pro: This is a professional dispatch system for community first responders and the emergency services.

The App utilises the latest in location technology and has many advanced features including a built in “radio” (Buzz) function so you can communicate with surrounding colleagues.

The GoodSAM platform has saved hundreds of lives and helped many thousands of people around the world. If you can help your community, please download the App and register under your parent organisation (or get your parent organisation on board if they are not on!).

Visit www.goodsamapp.org for more information.

Please download the App and join our global community.

Our Apps rely on location services for navigation and position updates. Please note continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

### 5/5 — This app saves lives.

*2026-07-30*

This app is brilliant, I have responded to a few alerts and mostly it is just drunk or homeless people off their face. However, I have also been to incidents where the early actions or help app users have administered has saved people’s lives. Absolutely brilliant, cannot sing its praises enough.

### 5/5 — Blessed to be there

*2026-07-13*

I had the privilege of providing life saving CPR. I was only aware of the situation by the Responder App.

I now catch up for coffee regularly with my newfound friend.

### 5/5 — Just remember you have done your best

*2026-06-27*

End of the day it’s someone’s loved one , It’s hard but well worth it.

### 5/5 — First aid help GB

*2026-06-25*

I think GoodSam is an absolutely amazing initiative which should be rolled out right across Australia, if someone is in the position to help someone else out maybe on the worst day of their lives and help them in a situation where it could be life or death then I am privileged to be that person. I’d love to see more people sign up to this
We’re here to look after each other.. GB

### 5/5 — Available

*2026-06-24, version 13.5*

What a shame that you never ever get any calls.
I used to respond daily to GP surgery referrals and social care responses.
But, never ever CPR or Cardiac Arrests.
Trained and carry a Defibrillator & First Responder kit.

### 5/5 — Revolutionary!

*2026-06-13*

That being said, it would be great to get information on what I’m showing up too, anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, symptoms, etc. if there is anyone there and what dangers await? I was sent to a person having anaphylaxis and they had been waiting an hour for an ambulance. Since it didn’t say what I was responding too, I did not have an EpiPen on me. Let alone almost 50% of people don’t carry an epipen or it is expired from many years prior. There should be more information and support for Responders. That being said Identification as well. Like an ID card as I’ve helped Police numerous times and to them you just look like a regular person.

### 5/5 — Impactful

*2026-06-04*

Easy to use, we all need people on their for our friends and family. I’ve been to a few events and helped out

### 5/5 — Phenomenal service

*2026-05-11, version 13.5*

I am so pleased that this app, together with training from SWAST, means that my fellow CFRs and I can offer 24/7 coverage in our rural area for the most serious incidents.

### 1/5 — Keeps flipping me out.

*2026-04-21, version 13.5*

Every time I go into this app to try and register, I get halfway through and it flicks me out. It doesn’t store the information I have already provided, I have to start from scratch. Therefore, I just haven’t.

### 3/5 — Does not work

*2026-04-04*

App does not work. Will not allow me to login after providing all details. What is the point of an app to find life saving equipment in which you are required to have a lengthy login process that doesn’t actually work. Time waster and dangerous in a real life resuscitation event
