### 3/5 — Does not work

*2026-04-04*

App does not work. Will not allow me to login after providing all details. What is the point of an app to find life saving equipment in which you are required to have a lengthy login process that doesn’t actually work. Time waster and dangerous in a real life resuscitation event

### 4/5 — CarPlay

*2026-03-18, version 13.5*

Would good if you could accept the call on CarPlay. Instead of going on to the phone when driving

### 5/5 — Amazing product and initiative

*2025-11-12*

This app undoubtedly saves lives, I’ve personally responded to 3 called in the 2 years I’ve had the app and thankfully only 1 of them I was needed there and did CPR. If you have your certificate and are willing to help, this app can help you be a life saver in your local community sign up

### 5/5 — A friend in need

*2025-10-31*

The App is great. I would recommend it show the incident more clearly and bolder for respondents to notice. Also should have a map once accepted the job. Like a live view to the incident. Also if the Good Sam members be given some kind of sticker or lights. This is because respondents get stuck at the traffic lights, this could be a matter of life or death. Just something to consider.

### 3/5 — Duty times

*2025-06-19, version 12.6*

Needs an option to set on duty hours, as I don’t wish to respond overnight I’m going to have to remember to go off duty every bedtime

### 3/5 — Not getting alerts?

*2025-06-13, version 12.6*

I have tried many times to test the simulation alarm but having tried everything suggested I’m about to give up. We live in a rural place. This would be an invaluable service if I could get it to work! What’s the best way to contact you?

### 4/5 — Notifications

*2025-06-08, version 12.6*

The app needs to alert you if you’ve been stood down whilst en route instead of the job just disappearing

### 4/5 — Great idea!! Few tweaks required.

*2025-04-01*

Adding a ‘did not attend’ button to the report form would be helpful. The current fields are required but aren’t relevant if you don’t attend the call.

Pop up info from 000 call taker to allow responder to know what they’re going into. Eg potential needles in vicinity.

Not sure if it was a setting on my phone, but today was the first call where the app loudly announced me to stand down. Great to see this feature.

### 5/5 — Great App for Volunteering

*2025-03-19, version 12.6*

Easy to use and navigate. User friendly

### 3/5 — More accurate locations

*2025-03-17*

I have been bleeped twice in the last few months and it doesn’t give me a accurate location of the emergency and by the time I’ve accepted and tried to work out where I’m stood down. It would be so handy if the app could send you an address of the emergency to make it a lot quicker for us to respond. Especially if you are in a place you aren’t familiar with. I just feel I’ve let someone down if I can’t find the accurate location. Addresses should be sent via the emergency crews bleep.

### 3/5 — Not available in wales

*2025-02-05, version 12.5*

Seems to just be available in England. Wanted to help out

### 5/5 — A great app - I was called yesterday

*2025-01-22*

I registered with the app a while ago, but yesterday was the first time I had been called to an incident.
The app all worked smoothly:
- the alarm went off.
- the app gave me me the address and I could see the nearest AED on the map.
- I did CPR on the community member until the paramedic arrived.
- it was easy to fill in the report via the app after I had finished.

### 5/5 — Hey

*2025-01-14, version 12.5*

You guys just saved me just wanna say thank you

### 2/5 — Notifications with Apple Watch inadequate

*2025-01-07*

I think this is more of an issue with Apple ratger than Goodsam, but it needs to be sorted. When wearing an Apple Watch notifications on the phone are ‘Disabled’ so the only alert you get is a timy little buzz on the wrist - the same as every other notification (news, weather, sms etc) Very difficult to pick up sometimes and can get lost if there’s a number of other notifications at same time. Need to have siren alert in phone and on watch at all times.

### 4/5 — Would like alerts on Apple Watch

*2024-12-03*

I’ve had this for a while, it can be a little clunky and the cardio version doesn’t always give enough information although that’s maybe down to the dispatching service. My main niggle is that I’d like to get alerts on my Apple Watch as I would see them faster that way. Please consider this when planning updates

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Keeps flipping me out.

*2026-04-21, version 13.5*

Every time I go into this app to try and register, I get halfway through and it flicks me out. It doesn’t store the information I have already provided, I have to start from scratch. Therefore, I just haven’t.

### 1/5 — Difficult

*2026-03-04, version 13.5*

This App would work alot better if it was easier to use. It is obviously fine when playing on it, but when it actually goes off, its an emergency situation, adrenaline is pumping, and this app is difficult!
When i am stood down, there is no alert, the map just disappears. There is no option to say i have arrived, so the siren continues to go off while im doing chest compressions, which is annoying.

Also, 80% of the time, it wont alert me until the 2min mark and then is quickly sent to next responder!

### 1/5 — No organisations in Melbourne, Vic, Australia?

*2025-06-01, version 12.6*

Why are there no No organisations in Melbourne, Vic, Australia?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-01-13, version 12.5*

Keep getting notifications and tap them immediately but nothing ever shows up in the actions tab. So confused. Thinking of deleting

### 1/5 — Vicky

*2024-12-02, version 12.5*

This seems to be useful if you live in the UK ! Yet they advertise it in Australia where I live

### 1/5 — Volunteers?

*2024-11-06, version 12.5*

I am registered and able to undertake stewarding positions. I keep receiving emails saying there are vacancies and to sign up. When I look at Activities I’m told there are no vacancies on my area.

### 1/5 — Months of waiting, no verification

*2024-02-02, version 12.3*

Been waiting for months to have my ID verified. And have heard nothing so i’ve removed the app and slapping a 1 star.

I’m a firefighter with the CFA and should not have to wait this long for Verification. Yet here we are. More than 6 months and no updates.

### 1/5 — Best app on the App Store

*2023-10-15, version 12.1*

This app wins hands down as by far the best app on the App Store. Nothing can compete with this marriage of skill and technology to deliver life saving magic. As a developer, this delights me and demonstrates how technology should be used. As someone who has struggled with cancer, and significant health challenges, it is an enormous comfort to know this app exists. Thank you to all involved, true super heroes!

### 1/5 — Why have a location if you ignore it?

*2023-08-17, version 11.9*

I put in that I would be happy to help anyone wishing a 30km distance and have only had response requests from 200 miles away! What’s the point!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Feel good

*2026-08-27*

This is a great organisation and I am proud to be able to be part of it, if I can help to try to save a life it makes it all worthwhile.

### 5/5 — This app saves lives.

*2026-07-30*

This app is brilliant, I have responded to a few alerts and mostly it is just drunk or homeless people off their face. However, I have also been to incidents where the early actions or help app users have administered has saved people’s lives. Absolutely brilliant, cannot sing its praises enough.

### 5/5 — Blessed to be there

*2026-07-13*

I had the privilege of providing life saving CPR. I was only aware of the situation by the Responder App.

I now catch up for coffee regularly with my newfound friend.

### 5/5 — Just remember you have done your best

*2026-06-27*

End of the day it’s someone’s loved one , It’s hard but well worth it.

### 5/5 — First aid help GB

*2026-06-25*

I think GoodSam is an absolutely amazing initiative which should be rolled out right across Australia, if someone is in the position to help someone else out maybe on the worst day of their lives and help them in a situation where it could be life or death then I am privileged to be that person. I’d love to see more people sign up to this
We’re here to look after each other.. GB

### 5/5 — Available

*2026-06-24, version 13.5*

What a shame that you never ever get any calls.
I used to respond daily to GP surgery referrals and social care responses.
But, never ever CPR or Cardiac Arrests.
Trained and carry a Defibrillator & First Responder kit.

### 5/5 — Revolutionary!

*2026-06-13*

That being said, it would be great to get information on what I’m showing up too, anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, symptoms, etc. if there is anyone there and what dangers await? I was sent to a person having anaphylaxis and they had been waiting an hour for an ambulance. Since it didn’t say what I was responding too, I did not have an EpiPen on me. Let alone almost 50% of people don’t carry an epipen or it is expired from many years prior. There should be more information and support for Responders. That being said Identification as well. Like an ID card as I’ve helped Police numerous times and to them you just look like a regular person.

### 5/5 — Impactful

*2026-06-04*

Easy to use, we all need people on their for our friends and family. I’ve been to a few events and helped out

### 5/5 — Phenomenal service

*2026-05-11, version 13.5*

I am so pleased that this app, together with training from SWAST, means that my fellow CFRs and I can offer 24/7 coverage in our rural area for the most serious incidents.

### 5/5 — Needs option to set availability hours

*2025-12-23, version 13*

A life-saving app! To be more user friendly, I would love an option to set availability/unavailability automatically. Either by marking yourself unavailable for next 8/10/12 hours and the app automatically turns it back on after the timer is done, or being able to put in your own hourly available periods for the week. If you’re marking yourself unavailable every time you go to work it’s easy to forget to turn it back on again!
